Do you have to put yeast in to make bread/cob.
Or can you just use self raising flour. Also does anyone have a nice bread recipe??

If you use SR flour, you'll get something like a scone.

Yeast gives a totally different result.

Yes, you need to use yeast. Baking powder makes scones, not bread.

I usually just do it by eye - so I can't give you a recipe. A few cups of flour, rather less gluten / semolina flour, a small dash of salt, a good belt of olive oil, a package or two of yeast, a good teaspoon of sugar to feed it, and warm water as needed.

Best off putting in not enough water to start, then kneading in as much water as the dough will take.

Knead for a good five minutes after it's all mixed, set to rise for half an hour, then make up into rolls/loaves and bake.

Experiment!
