Okay so I am 16 weeks pregnant today! Yay! And I was reading in one of my 'pregnancy emails' that I am 'supposed' to be able to feel my baby's fundus, and movement (if this is a 2nd pregnancy, which it is) and that I should be showing! Im not none of those!
I am slightly overweight, okay a size 16, so a little more than slightly, could this have something to do with all of that??
Are you guys feeling any of the above?? I still have morning sickness so thats a good sign - right?
Please help me not feel paranoid!!!

Harmony, I'm not sure if I can give you much help as this is my 1st pregnancy, but I am 16 weeks today too and I'm hardly showing and haven't felt anything! I'm quite thin, so I would have thought that my bump would be sticking out a lot more than it is by now!
This freaks me out a little too! I think it's just going to be a long wait between dr's appointments to hear the heartbeat, until I start feel the baby moving, for reassurance that the baby is still alive!

:hugs: :hugs: Don't stress too much honey!

Harmony, my advice is don't take too much notice of those things - every pregnancy is different!!

I'm 17 weeks (as of yesterday) and have started feeling movements but I couldn't at 16 weeks - it started in the middle of the week. I can feel my fundus but, according to my doctor anyway, your weight will affect this. I'm sure this is the same for when you start to show too - I started showing at around 8 weeks but really haven't gotten much bigger since then.

Kaybee, my best friend (who is extremely thin)is now 20 weeks with her first and apparently has started showing but when I saw her when she was 16 weeks she had barely a tummy on her at all.

funny you should post this, cause today i have been feeling that way too! I am also overweight, so it is hard to tell the bump. i can tell i have got slightly bigger, but cause i am feeling great otherwise, i get paranoid too! i tell myself it is silly and should just be grateful and happy i am feeling so well! i think until we get a definite bump, it will not feel totally real! we are all ok, i have read this stage is where people feel like this as you are in between ultrasounds, the bump is not always there, too early to feel movement, M/S has usually subsided and 2nd trimester is the one you are supposed to have the most energy - so not a lot of "symptoms" right now is not a bad sign!

let's CHOOSE to enjoy this and visualise our bubs birth and cuddles and think of nursery ideas etc, focus on the positives!! maybe we could start a thread for positive affirmations and visualisations!!

I am so appreciative and lucky to be able to be a mum! To have this precious little cherub growing inside me is a mircale and absolutely amazing!!! Thank you bubs for coming into our lives!!!

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: to everyone!!!
