Just wondering if a small Happy Heinys is a slim fit pocket nappy?

Are they as slim fit as the Peapods and Swaddlebees?

I am looking at purchasing one and only want it if its slim and not bulky.

Thanks

Raz

Nope... not IMO anyway.

My Swaddlebees is TEENY TINY... and my PeaPods are pretty trim too...

But my Happy Heinys isn't. It's not really bulky, but it doesn't fit easily under nice pants (under stretchy leggins it's okay, but that's because they're ultra-stretchy). All DD's pants are stretchy too... but it doesn't fit too well under most of them. I use them under dresses and skirts or trackies mostly...

IttiBittis are tiny as well...

Stacey do you have the Aplix hook and loop or snap Swaddlebee?

I have a snap because I don't really like velco (hook and loop). DD's nearly 2, so she just tears them off with no effort. The snaps of the swaddlebees are different though... instead of having arms that go over the front and then snap under teh belly, they kinda snap at hte side... and the front part of hte nappy goes over the top of the back part in a way...

If you go the weewuns store, go to AIOs and look at the pic of the Swaddlebees you'll see what I mean... (you can look at hte pockets too, but the photo for the AIOs shows it better IMO).

I find it is compared to my haute.

I think HHs can be very slim if you use the 'stuffin' insert, a bit less so if you use a tri-fold

This is what I use, I have also put in a microfibre aswell and it was still pretty good, but then my bub is still pretty small prolly makes a big difference?

Can someone tell me then about the Snap and Aplix with the Swaddlebees - which is better for growing? Does the Aplix swaddlebee have a system where it grows with the baby's body like the snaps can go out and out as the baby grows..

The haute has snaps so you can adjust the rise (height) of the nappy and also has the aplix on the side to alter the waist..

I use the Stuffin and the Microfibre (microfibre doesn't make a difference in trimness though) in my HH... it's still pretty big. The rise is also very big... I'll try to take a photo of DD in hers tomorrow, and compare it to a photo of her in her Swaddlebees so you can see the difference.

The HH isn't the biggest nappy, but it's definately not trim IMO. I imagine with a newborn though, not many nappies are terribly trim anyway... because they're so little and, say, 4 layers of cloth nappy would look bigger on a newie than 4 layers of cloth on my chubby toddler.

Still, the ittis and swaddlebees are tiny... they're like hipsters... very low cut and fit way better under clothes IMO.

In regards to snaps on Swaddlebees (can't say anything about aplix as I don't have any with that), they have about 3 or 4 adjustments. Well, the large does anyway. So I can easily make it bigger for DD (not smaller at hte moment as I have it on the tightest setting).

I suspect the Swaddlebee pocket that Sassy is talking about is the side-snap organic velour pocket (correct me if wrong, Sassy!). The inner is a lush velour and there are 3 snap settings on each side. I prefer side-snaps over front snaps too, which is another reason why this is our all-time fav pocket nappy :D And gosh it is tiny.

I have HHs too and while on Ariene they aren't too 'boofy' they have a high rise at the front and back, IMO.
I prefer nappies that dip below the belly though, for more cuteness and better fit under clothes etc.
