Really not doing well....:crying:

DS is also sick, he is on fess and dimetap, so its pretty terrible...

Try Brauer Nasel Spray... its natural and totally safe.

Costs about $10 from the chemist... works a treat.

I used a nasal spray when I was pregnant under the advice of the pharmacist who said I couldn't have anything else but the nasal spray for my really bad blocked and runny nose - so I guess if it is ok during pregnancy then it should be ok while breastfeeding.

I have chronic sinusitis, so I've asked the pharmacist this several times (everytime I go to buy one in fact!)

I've been told over and over and over again that the amount of drug that would actually enter your bloodstream from a nasal spray would be so minute as to be unimportant for breastfeeding women. They've advised me over and over that the best thing I can do for myself with a sinus infection is TAKE the sprays so I can rest properly. I've used sprays (sparingly of course!) throughout the time I've breastfeed Claire. I usually use it right after a feed, get one that lasts for 8 hours, and use it as little as I can - and I've NEVER noticed an effect on her.

Its always a good idea to ask the pharmacist or your GP of course.

Hope you feel better soon, ED. There's nothing worse than being sick when you've got a littlely to look after!

Thanks so much Tami, that is what I thought but I just wanted to hear it from someone else to know I wasn't a total idiot! LOL

I am using it as little as possible for many reasons one is bubs, but the other is that I got addicted to these once and its a terrible adiction.

Thanks again!

The other thing is, don't use it for more than 3 days at a time - it can actually start causing congestion and nosebleeds and stuff if you keep using it for longer than 3 days.

Hope you feel better soon!
