I was just wondering where you studied to become a doula? How long the course went for? Prices of the course? Any info would be a great help as im very interested in this but have no idea where to start!

TIA

May i also ask if you have had much work. Do you make an income. Is this your career? Has anyone hired you since completing your course?

With 2 young kids I dont do as much work as I would like because I cant just up and leave when ever I need to but I do have a lot of requests for work at the moment but it comes in spurts and spats.

Can you make a career of it? I dont believe you would make enough to sustain a living doing just the birth attendance unless you did an awful lot of births or charged a lot for them (both of which have their own logistical issues) but you can get other skills related to the area of pregnancy or the post natal period to offer to your clients or people who need them but dont want the birth attendance.

I'm doing the Childbirth International course at the moment.
Slow going with a nine month old that's not sleeping but I'm getting there LOL.
It's about $550 for the full course.
Good luck :)
