Ok just tried folding the sports with the toddler attachment at the back and you cant really do it you need to take it off and then fold it,

Its the best pram to fold sooooo easy and the toddler attachment is dead easy to put on and off

I cant wait till iris can use the seat at the back as she now hate looking at the black seat infront screams bloody murder as she now used to cruising around in her maxi/zapp combi and prefers looking at her fugly mother hahahaha

thanks for the compliments on my family....the kids do take after dh heaps BUT they are white like me so I cant complain hahahhahahaha:laughing:

Sarah - OMG!! I so agree with Sheree, looking at your Dh (BD pics), O is a spitting image of him!!!

Sheree - Good idea to make sure that things are how you want them before you do the big walk!

Taryn - Wow Jacey had a good sleep! Hopefully it will continue lol. Oh and ask away re Perth lol. Im guessing you would probably be staying in the city...

Ok gotta go, im starving and so is the boy!

Decided to do the test with him to let him know and only one line came up??? Is this normal??? Could it just be an off day??:crying::gloomy: :crying:

How does this happen? Could it just be so early that some days it picks it up and some days it doesnt??????

Went to drs today and got a blood test but its not immediate - anyone had this ??? Anyone with any explanations??

I feel like s%#t. Could it just be that I am so early into this that the hormones may not show up on some days?

Caithi - not sure re the test... its usually best to test in the morning though as your urine is more concentrated then. :fingerscrossed: your blood tests is able to confirm it for you! :hugs:

caithi i always thought a positive was a positive..(false negatives are so common tho) did you do the second test first thing in the morning? its meant to show up stronger then. i have my :fingerscrossed: for you hun!:hugs:

i feel pretty bad about postponing wedding plans.. i mean seriously is this the right time to be 'thinking things through' 3 kids later :o we will end up getting married. he's the only guy i want to be with and could ever imagine being with. guess im just looking for some support from him and for him to step up a bit more. i dont want to go through life living week to week with pays. i want to buy a house & have savings.. normal things! i guess priorities are different for each person tho.. think i'd settle for me & the girls coming first.. anyway enough of this! hehe

thanx for helping me out sarah. i keep looking up the p&t.. im blaming you girls & bubhub! think im going to go for the 'sand' colour. how long till you think iris will be able to sit in the seat? i read that with the sport model it reclines more..

lana i forgot to mention, if you do go through with getting amitys name for her wall the lady said to mention you're on bubhub & she'll give you 10%. i had said to her that i heard about her from you.

taryn how cute about jacey in the paper. definitely a scrapbook moment hehe!

Sarah, stick a photo of your head on the back of the toddler seat for her to look at.

You and your DH are sexy!

Shezi, I wouls expect you'd have to take the toddler seat off to fold it. I don't have toi worry about that issue as we dont have use the car with toadlet. A car capsuke would be bigger than the actual car!

Re sleeping in their own roooms. Monty slept in the lounge at night in our old place and in our room during the day. In this unit he has his old room. We only had him in our room on night 1 and 2 when he wasn't eating. Her's a squeeky pig and I couldn't sleep with him near me.

Tazzy, can you scan the picture in?

Decided to do the test with him to let him know and only one line came up??? Is this normal??? Could it just be an off day??

Because it is quite early in the pg the hormone would be very low, if you've been drinking lots of fluids and or if it was done using urine NOT from your first morning pee, it may be too diluted to pick up.
Or on the bummer side ... it may be the egg was fetilized but didn't stick. That's why it is good to test after AF was due, less likely to get a disapointing result.
Keep at it!!

i feel pretty bad about postponing wedding plans.. i mean seriously is this the right time to be 'thinking things through' 3 kids later we will end up getting married. he's the only guy i want to be with and could ever imagine being with. guess im just looking for some support from him and for him to step up a bit more. i dont want to go through life living week to week with pays. i want to buy a house & have savings.. normal things! i guess priorities are different for each person tho.. think i'd settle for me & the girls coming first.. anyway enough of this! hehe

Very sensible Shezi.. most young girls want to get married just for the wedding. Glad you've thought about how you want to plan your life out. Doesn't mean you don't love him just cause you dont' want to get married.

Guys need to be nudged a little sometimes with their careers, also they normally one day just "click into place" when they are ready. He's still young and most guys need to have fun for a bit and not feel pressured about a "career".

You could sit down and do an action plan with him.
Put some good ideas in his head and point out his strong points and how he could "do really well at this job"...

I've always been a little lazy with getting things finished and DP really motivated me to be successful with my business, I know for certain I woudn't have done as well without him.

Back to sleep for me.. very sore throat :(

My little girls pic was in the sunday paper today - birth section in QLD!! he he I forgot I put that in!!

My BIL was in the Koori Mail the other day lol and I had the FIL ringing me to brag and hsi son is 32 LOL a parents pride never ends:thumbsup:

Caithi~ test again first thing in the morning:hugs: thinking of you

Sheree~ no probs re: the p&t love mine hehehe
Like Hollie said guys are way slower to get to the "I want a gd career, steady pay check, house, stability, security etc etc
Where as women, especially those of us with kids, its kind a all we think about LOL we want our kids to be safe and cared for, fathers do to BUT we actually think through how we can get those thinks.

He'll get there, mines 30 and his just getting it now....it takes time.

Hollie~ hahaha I did put a pic up but not of my fugly mug hahaha I put up some black and white pics from the mobile we had, she likes it~ which is all that matters....but she does like the maxi/zapp better, sleeps so well in it.

BTW O used to be a noisey sleeper too, still is a bit of a toss and turner etc so we had to have him in another room also, I could never get a gd night sleep with him near me lol

We are all sick again, I think ive got the tail end of the flu, iris is blocked up and O is also.
hopefully im fine for the wkend, im going to organize to meet some other bubhubbers at the expo so if anyone wants to meet up pm me girls,

Caithi, hope you get those two lines this morning, we will thinking and praying for you.

:yelclap: Jacey is back to her old sleeping routine. She slept from 7pm to 4.30am and then 5am to 7.30am and Logan also slept through till 6.50am!! woohoo. Why though do I still manage to wake up and check on them during the night, just cant help myself! I need to know they are OK.

How did Griff sleep Lana?? Oh but you know the funny thing was that I changed back to the muslin wrap 2 nights ago that I usually use and :wizard: sleeping well again. She obviously has a thing for that particular wrap as it is a bit different to the rest!

Shezi at least you have time to train him up and mould him!! into a perfect husband to be :D

OK well, better go, lots to do as usual!!

PS I'm so excited about opening my own Inky Feet - it will be lots of hard work but I am so keen to do it. DH is going to help out heaps too. So we have decided to def go ahead with it as long as financial advisor likes what they see! Its all I think about and re-read over everything and I'm forever writing down questions. It wont be until October!

Awesome thanks Sheree!!! You can use the phil and ted for two sitting bubs from when bub is around 5 months or so.

Taryn - Yay for Jacey! Its funny how they can become so attached to one little rug so early in life hey! Unfortunately Griff still isnt back to his normal sleeps... He is still waking at around 2.30 for a feed... Im hoping it will change once his cold is gone properly.

LT + Sarah - I hope you guys are feeling better soon! I feel heaps better today!

Im lucky, Sam has always been very career oriented.

Hi Girls,

Hope you all had a good weekend!

We had a nice one, slept-in on Sat (incl. B) and went to a friend's daughter 100-day celebration on Sun. Haven't seen her since 4w old, the little girl has grown a lot now and so cute. B was a champ. It was around his nap time when we arrived there, but he was happy when introduced to everyone, then went to sleep in his little pram bassinet while DH and I had our lunch. He then woke-up on time when lunch finished, smiles and coos to everyone and lap-up at the attentions. No single cry throughout the party! * proud mommy smile *

The little champ is a bit unwell today though. He's been having some cough in the last week or so but it gets a bit worse since last night, so we're going to see doctor today.

BG, hugs. It's hard to see bub hungry (even if it's only for a few mins). My DS does the night feed but occassionally I run to help make the bottle to save B 1-2 mins of crying.

Lana, love Amity's big-girl moment! She looks adorable in the pic. Griffin is a big and tall boy. Love his 'Hmmm...' pose.

Ansam, well done to Leah weaning the dummy, fingers-crossed it stays that way.
BtW, what are you doing for work? Are you a midwive?

Re. sleep, B used to wake up a lot when he was younger (and wanted to snack everytime he woke up). We invited a mothercraft nurse and she suggested us to introduce some routine. His sleeping/feeding is much better after that. Now when he wakes up before he suppose to (and not screaming/crying hard), we leave him in his bed and usually he back to sleep again. He protested a bit in the first few days, but soon learn to sleep in longer chunks.

I'm not sure if B's finding his thumb yet, but he's sucking his little fist! He's also sucking his tounge/upper lips it's so funny! I have to upload a pic of him doing this.

Caithi, very clever with the books excuse.

Nemosmum, Iris is so pretty and what a nice thick hair she has! Love the pink shoes too, very stylish!
How was the househunting going?

Hi Sharon, glad to hear your father's operation went well.

Hi Taryn, yay for the weightloss. I still have a spare tyre around my waist to loose.
And it'll be good to be able to work from home. I've been thinking about it (working from home) too, but haven't found anything suitable so far. I still have 8m before having to go back to work, but time flies.

Shezi, such beautiful and unique names your girls have. Very creative too.

Nic & Carrie, hope you feel better now.

Carrie, sorry to hear about your grandma. I hope she gets well soon.

I think I'd better post this now, long enough as it is :ecomcity: Will continue to read and reply....

Hi Girls,

Just skimmed. Time is not on my side today.

Brendansmum, Im a doula / childbirth educator so attend births and do prenatal education and massage.

Sarah, how do you find that wrap? Can they get their hands out to suck on the fingers?

Re the wraps, I have done away with the muslin and cheese cloth - not stretchy enough. A friend of mine found this giftpack of wraps that are excellent. Cotton knit and large and they hold my littly houdini's arms in tight.

Leah was particularly unsettled yesterday. No idea what her issue was. Decided in the end she must have had a pain or something so she got her dummy back as she was doing that whole wanting to suck thing and then she had it for one of her two night wakings (yes girls, shes still waking twice a night :o ) when she refused to go back to sleep after doing the most massive poo in the world.

Had to go to meet a prospective (and now official) client and took her with me so todays been a bit up in the air too.

Oh cr*p......... there were other things but Ive plum forgotten.

Anyway, massive headache and phone calls to return so must dash.

xx

Nemosmum, O looked identical to Iris, very cute!
Love the pictures. And yes, O is an exact younger version of his dad!
And sister wedding = good reason for shopping!

LT, Toadlet is such a good baby. Could you please ask him to teach B how to sleep overnight?
B still wakes up once, either 12pm (having his night feed late) or before 6pm (having his morning feed early).

I still have squishy spare-tire...haha!

Lana, hope you feel well soon, and Griff back to sleeping through the night.

B looks 98% like his dad, his eyebrows and chin are my only claim to fame.

Shezi, this will just means that you'll marry the more-ready version of him later

B still sleeps in our room. We meant to put him in his own room since day dot, but then in-laws said they're coming to visit us for 3m! Because of FIL health they ended-up visiting for a week only, but by then we're used to having B with us.

Caithi, I also heard that it's very rare to get a false positive. :fingerscrossed: it's just because it's too early in the pregnancy.

Ansam, well done to Leah for the long sleep. Hope it sticks.

LL, it'll be so exciting to learn how to sew and make all the nice things.

Emma, Yay for Cooper's sleep-in. It must felt very good! We got one last Sat and it's so nice.

Better get prepared to see the doctor now.

anna dont worry about leahs waking at night. A is still on 2 night feeds most nights. and shes been my best sleeper at this age! M was up every 2hours..

Anna~ BG has a good selection of them TRU sell them too BUT often dont have a gd range as they come in three different sizes
Iris cant get her arms out which i think is why she sleeps so well at night in them. although shes naturally a good sleeper

Shes not well at the moment caught mummys cold and her nose is terrible plus shes not keeping her feeds down:no:

Sheree~:yelclap: for M thats brillant, im trying to get O interested in writing too he can do an O lol but thats it hahahaha
his more interested in acting out spiderman in typical O style!
Great news about the letters:thumbsup:

Anyone catch my thread about dh dressed as BUZZ lightyear? its hysterical he would kill me if he knew!

Do you think this is rude~ dh's bestie's wife rings dh today and tells him they are having a suprise party for her dh tonight and wants us to come
A) we live 2hrs away
B) its a bit short notice dont you think
and
C) who has a party on a monday night?
WTH??? shes never liked my dh anyway always being a real snotty snob towards him,
I told DH to forget about it coz of the above list lol

I just think its sad coz dh hardly sees his best mate coz of her...oh well

Oh Caithi hun go with your gut instincts. If I'd listened to the dr's E wouldn't have been here today!

It was our first try, only just gone off pill, expecting it to take a while cos I'd had endo cut out a couple of months before & other issues, brought a prg test while we were trying & couldn't wait until i was due for my period like it said. I did the test & it said negative ... then the next morning I went to the toilet & the test was sitting on top of the bin facing me & something was making me turn around to look at it again ... It said positive! I rang DH & I decided to do another test (2 pack) there & then as i wasn't sure if it was just cos it had been left sitting overnight or something or if I was as packet said discard results after so long ...

Anyway test I did that morning said positive!!! Yay!!! Very very faint but def 2 lines. I went to the dr at lunch time & she did a urine test which was negative! Sent me for bloods. the girl assured me bloods are NEVER wrong ... well they said negative ... for some reason i still had a feeling I was prg & even stopped eating deli meats etc. That week I started feeling like I had butterflies in my tummy I guess, a bit dizzy when I stood up, a bit sick ... i thought maybe i was wishing it upon myself so wasn't sure if the 'symptoms' were real or not.

About a week or 2 later (can't remember) I was 1 week overdue for my period, was getting bad cramps when I did my exercises at nights, especially crunches & had mega-sore boobs. Also felt like I was getting my period as i get bad cramps & bad periods if I'm not on the pill. That was a Thursday night I noticed this during exercising & couldn't even touch my boobs! I made DH go & buy a prg test again straight away ... he didn't want to since my bloods etc came back negative and a qualified dr said i wasn't pregnant ... He bought it, I did it, it was positive!!! Very faint again but def positive!

So i think i did it again Friday morning, positive again, just. Made dr's appointment for Saturday morning before my nephew's 1st b'day party & I wee'd in a cup, the nurse did the test & said neg. I told her the mixed results & what was going on, symptoms etc & said how confused i was ... She did it on a new stick - it was positive this time :)

So the moral of the story Caithi is to go with your instincts ... i know your instincts are hard to follow - especially if you have mixed results like this but try to trust them ... Have you had a period?

Sorry for the longy ... will go read other posts now!

Sarah - OH I think that is very rude of your Dh's Besties wife!! I wouldnt be going either! And especially not on a monday night when you live 2 hours away!!

Caithi - Have you tested again?? My first test with Amity came up negative... did another one 4 days later (as i had a feeling i was) and it came up positive!

Sheree - Yay for M being able to write her name!! Thats awesome!! Lol no worries re the site, i imagine they would be a fair bit cheaper!!

Griff is crying.. back soon

Sarah - WTF is her prob? Like u said who has a party on a Monday night?! Why would u invite ppl at the last minute, especially those who live 2 hours away?! What a freakshow!

Shezi - I SO know what you mean about your DP! David is 25 & because I worked in a law firm I am used to young motivated guys with goals & assets. Don't get me wrong I love David & I probably should've been saving my own money (it's hard working in the city where all the shops are!) and he is working very hard at the moment as he has been working longer hours & 6 days a week lately. He does want a house, a car etc but the first thing on his mind is always a boat! No way lol. He can use his little tinny for now as we so need a car!

I don't mind renting so much as at least (a) you get rent assistance (even if it is a pitiful amount!) & (b) you don't have to pay council rates & water which cost a fortune plus all the insurances etc on top of that.

Anyway like I have said a thousand times before, the ony reason we have a sh!t car & things is cos of his debt. I was never gonna pay for it out of my pay I worked for since his stupidity had nothing to do with me & he still hasn't put anything on it however he blames me for never leaving money in the account for him! Grr ... BIG CIRCLE!!!

Sorry Shezi, you got me going!

Anna - Ella's still waking in the night too! She has her longest sleep now (lately) from about 6-6.30pm to about midnight-ish - between 11 & 1.30am, I give her a bottle cos it's been ages then she wakes a few times for her g d dummy before i offer her a bottle around 4 ish. If only she'd drop the midnight bottle. If I don't feed her she is sort of all jerky & tired & can't hold her dummy & gets upset so it's easier to just feed her.

Although it was funny last night as she went to sleep with me about 5-5.30pm, i got up to watch BB & put E in her cot, I woke at around 12.30am to E laughing & talking to her mobile instead of wimpering! Yay! I left her for about 15 mins but she was getting frustrated so gave her a bottle. She'd wiggled out of her sheets & blanket nearly to the other end of the cot! It's amazing how much the move hey?!

Caithi - How did the test go this morning?

I have everything double crossed for you!

Who have i forgotten?

Ok best be off & prob put roast pork on soon! Waiting for dh to text to let me know when (never know when he'll be finishing work as different times always!).

Hugs to all the mums & bubs!

PS We start "New Parents Group" tomorrow morning ... bit nervous cos I won't know anyone, Ella might be older than the others in the group too as i was gonna go in the previous group which started in April but it was way full.

Also Ella has decided she wants to feed about every 2-2.5 hours lately instead of 3 hourly & the thing goes from 9.30-11.30 so really hoping i can get her to have a bottle around 9am then leave! I hope she is good as usually after bottle around 8 or 9 she stays up for a bit all happy but then really grumpy & tired & half the time won't sleep around 10.30-11am ... hope she's good! I suppose we're all in the same boat though ...

Do you sit on the floor at these things? Must be careful what i wear if you do cos my 3/4 pants & jeans all fall down heaps lol.

DH told her we could drop in on the wkend to see them and she wrote back "Dont bother we wont be here and we wont be inviting you ever again as you never bother coming anyway"

WTH????

Last wk I wrote her a lovely email asking about them and the kids etc and sent some pics of the kids as she was asking for some and she typed back
"where fine" and sent one pic back:rolleyes: shes weird and it annoys me as i dont like her being rude to dh!!!!

Sarah, I thik your sister in law's invite was ride for a few reasons...
1. She didnt' have the curtesy to let you know earlier, I'm sure that she knew about it earlier than today.
2. I think she actually invited you at the last minute knowing you wouldnt be able to come.
Very incosiderate of her and spiteful not letting her DH have his best friend there.

Anna. the kidopotamus wraps dont let them get their hands out. Monty always managed to get one arm out but then it was too cold for him.

I made some wraps so there were arm pockets for his arms that kept them warm and he could get his hands up to his face but it would still keep him fairly wrapped.

If you want to try a kidopotamus wrap I have the middle sized one x 2. You can have one for $20 if you like. Only used about 3 times each cuase DP couldnt wrap.

BrendansMummy
LT, Toadlet is such a good baby. Could you please ask him to teach B how to sleep overnight?
B still wakes up once, either 12pm (having his night feed late) or before 6pm (having his morning feed early).
He pigs out during the day havig 3 hourly feeds, then last feed at around 7pm to 9pm we give him his feed and a relaxation bath.
He's ever once cried during his night sleeps which is great.
I've been keeping him up longer during the days too which I think helps him to sleep longer.
Also we were very strict with him right from the start and didn't go into him when he grizzled. (heartless mummy and daddy). So he knows grizzling wont get him a cuddle.. or food.

So are we meeting up at the Expo?? I'm very excited about meeting you all.

Hey girls,

Sorry, I cant make the Expo I dont think. Do enjoy though.

If only she'd drop the midnight bottle. If I don't feed her she is sort of all jerky & tired & can't hold her dummy & gets upset so it's easier to just feed her.

Carrie, have you tried 'dream feeding' her? We used to do this with DS and I occassionally do it with Leah. Its popping a bottle in her mouth while shes asleep, she will drink in her sleep and she doens't need burping because shes not active enough to swallow air (or thats the theory and it worked well for us). Maybe give it a go about 10pm or something and see if she drops the midnight feed.

If you want to try a kidopotamus wrap I have the middle sized one x 2. You can have one for $20 if you like. Only used about 3 times each cuase DP couldnt wrap.
.
Thanks so much for the offer :hugs: but I might stick with the knit wraps I have as leah can get her fingers on one hand to her mouth but not out of the wrap. If they accommodated that need then I'd definitely grab one off you.

Sarah, what a b*tch that woman sounds like.

NM, that's was a horrible text msg your DH received! What a wally having a party on a Monday night and inviting you guys at the last minute. Tell her where to go next time she wants to talk to you!

Anna, I like your tip on dream feeding. Madi goes to bed between 7pm and 8:30pm and then wakes at around 12am - 1am and then again at around 4am or 5am. Sometimes she skips the midnight feed and only wakes at around 3am! DH and I are waiting for the full night sleep, I have to go back to work in the next few months and just hope she sleeps all the way through by then! :fingerscrossed: When should they be sleeping? I always thought by 6 wks they sleep - silly me. She is now 11wks this week and no sleep........aaagghh!

Tazzy, congrats on Inky Feet, I hope it all goes well for you. DH and I have decided to sit on the idea for a little longer, DH wants me to go back to work for a little bit longer and think about it some more first.

Carrie, good luck tomorrow, I hope you and Ella have heaps of fun!

Hope I haven't forgotten any replies, too tired to think tonight. Madi has been screaming all day, what is it with her? She wants to be carried around all day and hates been left in a room on her own, I can't even hang out the washing - is anyone elses bub like this? I think she is turning into a sooky puss, she is was so good before maybe it's a growth spurt?

I just filled in her daycare enrolment forms for ABC, it took forever. I feel so guilty putting her into childcare :gloomy: . She is going to 4 and a half months when she starts, the bonus is my sister will be her group leader so that is reassuring I guess.

Evening all

Well it's been a big day well not really just feeling like it lol. Got up at 6:30 fed Coop, He fell bk to sleep so I decided to follow in his footsteps. He woke me at 10:30. Had to wake my sister up to go to work at 11am. She went to work and the manager abused her infront of everyone so she quit. She came home and we went shopping. Target has alot of baby specials on at the moment.

Anyway this afternoon my sisters decided to go back to there place, and before they left, my eldest sister Sarah, had her bag over her shoulder and she was holding Cooper over the same shoulder. He spewed right into her bag. All over her purse and mobile and it even went into the bags pocket. My other sister Donna and I just burst out laughing. She wasn't so impressed as her bag and purse was very expensive :o Opps.

DH told her we could drop in on the wkend to see them and she wrote back "Dont bother we wont be here and we wont be inviting you ever again as you never bother coming anyway"

WTH????
I would drive 2 hrs just to slap her face and tell her to wake up to herself. What a weirdo. Your poor Dh though.

Anyway I better go and tidy the spare room. It has heaps of **** in it and we are having a house inspection tomorrow  . They suck lol.

ok im peeved.. some idiot just rang from a "you've won a holiday" company.. had no idea which one coz he was clearly indian with a thick accent (not being nasty but honestly why are they all indian?!) anyway i was like "look i have 3 kids that i have just got to sleep, im not staying on the phone" and he said "dont you think you and your husband will be going on holiday alone in the next 2 years?" (hahahaha thats the best joke i've heard in years!) anyway i replied i have 3 under 3 no i cant see that happening. goodbye. and i hung up.
yes i know it was rude but come on its 8pm!! :shame: so much for chris saying he'd put our number on some "do not call" register lol.

nic all bubs are different.. i was the opposite.. didnt think babies slept through till they were 1 hehe. dont know why i thought that. probably good i did tho. its so frustrating when you're running on hardly any sleep.. i hope madi starts sleeping better..

LT if you'd still like to sell the wrap i'll buy it :)

well done with the clients anna!

ok long story but i'll shorten it.. my brother and his ex had a son together. my nephew is now 7 absolutely gorgeous little man. he lives with his mothers aunty due to her running off to brissy when my nephew was 22months saying she'd be back in 2weeks.. we were extremely close to him and had him heaps. anyway my brother ended up following them as they hadnt returned 2months later.. she had already given him over to her aunty as she couldnt handle him. my brother wasnt in a stable position and had some issues so he was happy as long as his son was being looked after and he could see him often.(we didnt agree with that but can see now it was the right decision.. just wish we had him over here..) ok anyway they both moved on.. my brother is now with a nice girl who has a daughter, 3, from a previous relationship but she calls my bro daddy as her bio father has never been in her life and they have a gorgeous little girl together aurora.. he also has his son overnight every second weekend. his ex is with a new guy and has an 8month old daughter and also gets her son every other weekend.. she's not exactly trustworthy.. & loves attention..(ie i have sat with her at hospitals more times than i'd like to remember awaiting pregnancy tests as she claimed she was miscarrying yet the tests were negative..) ANYWAY i will cut to the chase.. i was talking to my nephews aunty today and she told me that the ex's 8month old was in hospital a week or so ago due to a broken arm. supposedly it happened while she was playing in her cot:eek: im sorry but as if! anyway the child protective people are onto her and investigating.. i just really really feel for this little girl. at 8months she cant talk.. she cant tell anyone what is happening.. its just sad :crying: my nephew is one very lucky little man. i really hope his sister is as lucky.
sorry that was really long to explain one thing hey..

Good Afternoon, Ladies.

Sarah, your hubby bestie's wive is very rude! Sounds like she doesn't meant to really invite you but did so just so that she could say to her hubby that she did.

Caithi, how did the bloodtest go?

Shezi, well done for M to be able to write her name.
Very sad re. the your bro's ex's little girl. It must be hard to know about these things but not really able to do anything.

Carrie, how's your parents group go? I was a bit nervous coming to my first mother's group, but it's great. I guess all the moms there were kind of nervous too.

 kiddopotamus wrap.
We're back to using muslin atm though cause B is between size. Too big for M but too small for the L one.

Anna & LT, congratz on the new clients.
Anna, you must be a superwoman juggling between 2 young ones and work.

M2B, I'm dreading the day I have to put B in childcare too. But if it's any consolation, my friend's son love his childcare. He becomes much more sociable too after going to the childcare. Are you back to work pt/ft?

Taryn, you must be relieved they're back to routine again.

LT, Monty is so cute!

Went to dr yesterday about B's cough. Dr checked his throat and said that its a bit red, so put him on Panadol. His little nose was also stuck last night, very sad to listen to :gloomy: I think I'd better keep him indoor for the next week or so since it starts to get cold outside.

Anna,

This is what I've done to wrap Monty at night time.

Dressing Gown (http://www.bizztools.net/m/dressinggown.jpg)

I've put snap press studs on the sleeves and colar, and at the bottom of the gown to keep him swaddled, but not restricted. He can still nibble on his hands but not hit himself in the head. He's been sleeping really well in it.
I don't need to use blankets either.

Just a tshirt, nappy and socks underneath.

BtW, what is the dressing gown made from? Is it fleece? I got B some fleece pyjamas, but not sure when to start wearing them, worry he'll be too hot in it.

Thanks for the sleeping tips, will try to get B work on his uptime today.

big w has some long-sleeve sleeping bags that are similar design on sale for $9, i have only seen the catalogue so i thought i might go check them out. we put Harper in his travel grobag to go to a party on sat night, he loved it! so easy to get him in and out of the car too (it has a velcroed hole in the back and double ended zipper thing so you can put the carseat thing through) then straight into bed nice and cosy. but the bigw ones would be great for day sleeps (not sure if they are warm enough for H's cold room at night!)

Brendan's Mummy.. Monty gets VERY hot and usually only wears a tshirt and socks and nappy ALL the time, but he doesnt get hot in the dressing gown which is good.
It is fleece, and we dont have any heaters in our house and his bedroom is fairly cool at night time.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry to be mia for the last few weeks! I have scanned the posts so sorry if I forget anyone.

Cathi - :fingerscrossed: on the tests!! Wow we thought we were quick with a 14month diff btw Tilly and Chloe!!! Good luck with the result!

Sarah - how rude of dh friends wife!! Has your dh told his friend what she texted you guys?

Anna - well done on all the work you are picking up

Shezi - the names are going to look great

Carrie - sorry to hear about the illnesses inyour family I hope it all improves

Bendensmum - Welcome!

LT - just incase you need another froggy item!!
http://www.oneitem.com/baby/home.asp

LL - Harper not smiling for the cameras sounds like my Tilly she never would smile! The first smile we caught was about 5 months ago LOL!!

Well we are great. Chloe is on average going down about 9:30 - 10pm and then gets up at 5:30 - 6:30 so am getting a great nights sleep. Which is great as I have started to set up another division within my dh business. He is laughing as I didnt last 1 month before starting a new business after selling the last one. I cant help it I get bored so easily and need to work. I should have it completely set up for a launch on the first of July, but will be very busy to get it organised before then.

Luckily Chloe is a great sleeper as I have set up an office in her room and work while she is asleep. I think she finds the printer noise soothing LOL!!! I will try to get on more often and catch up on everyones news more.

Evening girls

NM you naughty girl for sending me the pic of bum covers & matching singlets! I never buy anything over internet or phone & I showed DH as I am just in LOVE with them (yes it was me who is obsessed lol) but he said I'm not allowed! So I sent link to my mum - hint hint maybe she can make some like that too & do a matching singlet!

M2B - At least your sis will be Madi's GL!

Emma - That is so funny re Cooper spewing in your sis's exy bag! Haha ...

LT - LUV the dressing gown!!! U are one talented mumma!

Anna - The last couple of nights when i have fed her around 3-ish (yes she has been going 6pm - 3am so that is good for me!) i have stuck dummy in first & she is half asleep but she is so wet I change her & wake her up but she has been just going straight back down & falling asleep on her own. When she was getting up around midnight I'd started getting her up & feeding her before I went to bed but she didn't really drink it & she'd wake up fully when I put her back in her cot :( At least the last couple of nights have been better. I just need to go to bed at 6pm now but that's when I watch my shows! Lol.

BM - Hope Brendan is better soon! x

LL - Hello!

Shezi I think i somehow missed your post? What was wrong with the girl who broke her arm?
How weird is this stupid weather Bris girls?! It has been lovely & cool during daytime, then gets cold around 6pm then gets boiling hot during the night? WT? I miss winter ... I wish it were cold ...

Well I was majorly PO'd today - It started off well - Ella timed feeds beautifully - 3am, 6am then once i put her on her tum at 8.20am she finally went to sleep until i woke her at 9 to dress & feed her ... then she spewed on me, cried getting in the car (this started last week - thought this happened in like a yr's time!) running late, couldn't get a park, practically ran down to the clinic from the street with E screaming for no good reason then the New Parent's Group ("NPG") had been cancelled!

I walked in 15 mins late & said hi I'm here for the NPG sorry i'm late ... what NPG? Apparently the receptionists were both 'relieving' & the group starting today was crossed out & to start next week as there is a nursing seminar on today! There was a note on it to say to contact everyone to advise. I got mad at them cos I hadn't been contacted & they checked home number which was correct & said are you at home all the time? I said well I do go out & I do go on the internet but personally I am a legal secretary & for something as urgent as that I keep trying til I get a hold of the person!

Ended up ringing SIL & going there for the day, & her friend came over who has 2 kids - one is same age as neice & one is 3 days older than Ella. So had a nice day in the end. So tired when i got home. Ella feeding every 2 - 2.5 hours still but not necessarily drinking all her bottles. Tried to have a sleep with E when i got home since she hadn't had more than 10 mins sleep either today. Didn't happen. She was talking & laughing at ceiling fan for ages then fell asleep for a few mins before waking up screaming. Bathed her which made her feel better, fed her (only drank 100ml) then went to pick up dh & she's been asleep ever since.

Ok off to bed soon ... so buggered. Oh yeah i felt sick this arvo, my face hurts (WT? Sinus's?) and tummy pains & nauseous now i go to loo & get AF again! WTF is that? I only took 2 pills & 3 days apart so can't have effected it much when i stopped! Just finished it the other day!

LT, B gets hot easily too, he just moved up to long sleeve in the last week! He's now wearing long sleeve cotton bodysuit + socks + muslin wrap at night. He's sleeping in our room with heater though. We're thinking of moving him into his own room (which has no heater) in few weeks time, so it maybe a good time to start wearing the new pj then.

Thanks LT. I'm Indonesian by nationality and DH is Malaysian. But by ethnic, both of us are 3/4 Chinese. I have one Dutch grandma and DH has one Burmese grandma. So that makes B 3/4 Chinese with a dash of Dutch & Burmese bloods.

I'd love to come to the expo, but will see how B's cough/snotty nose goes. We'll be away the next weekend, would like the little fella to feel better before then. Are you coming?

Hi RTCsMum, you must be a superwoman with 3 kids and a new business to run, how do you manage all together? BtW, what kind of business are you currently starting, if you don't mind me asking?

Aw NM, hope Iris gets better soon. B had just woken-up crying because of blocked nose (he usually is a sound sleeper), heartbreaking.... Thanks for the get-wells girls.

M2B, bub will sleep longer when they're ready. You never know, maybe Madi decides to start sleeping overnight tonight!

Hi Aqua, Antonio is such a good boy sleeping so long. BtW, he's one day younger than B.

Carrie, very irresponsible for the receptionists not to let you know re. the cancelled meeting, it's good that you have a good time at the end. Hope you'll feel better soon.

BtW, does anyone know when the next growth spurt is? Is it 3 or 4 month? Just try to be prepared and clocked-in more sleeps beforehand lol.

Night2 everyone....

Hi Girls.

AD - totally understand on the DH 24x7 problem... my DH had nearly two months off and has now been back at work for a couple of weeks. We were both really glad when he went back, even though it means being away for days at a time, and seem to get on better now. I think we are just not used to being together so much....

Well after an absolutely perfect weekend with Matthew sleeping well at night (only waking once) and just fantastic day sleeps between each feed, Matthew's sleeping turned to mush last night. I think he is due for his next poo (now been a week) and he kept waking every hour or less. Only needed the dummy and he was back asleep but it meant not much sleep for me . I think he gets tummy pains or the urge to poo but just can't and this wakes him up.

LT Great idea on the dressing gown. Looks Fab! And isn't Monty just a charmer! Matthew was fascinated with the video clip you posted - so cute watching him watch the screen.

Carrie - bummer on the NPG. Dont you just hate it when people just don't follow thru on stuff? Glad you had a good day in the end.

All you working girls - I too am looking forward to getting back to work. I am keeping in touch with them and it is basically up to me when I go back. I would love to try doing some from home but not sure how many hours I could commit to. Family still comes first but i sure do look forward to my "me time" when Ryan is at childcare. Thankfully he just loves it - plays up something awful if I turn up early to take him home. He just doesn't want to leave.

Sorry for the long post - finding it hard to get on much ATM but I till try to keep on top of all the goss at least.

As for us - lots of drool starting, cooing and gaahing like he is really trying to talk to me (so cute), giggling (which I just looooove) and generally happy which is nice. Haven't weighed or measured for ages but need to as he has grown heaps. 13.5 weeks already .

Dad's recovery is going well but both Mum & Dad are really tired. I think Dad is starting to feel well enough to get annoyed at Mum fussing.... I'm sure you all know how it is. His cathetar (sp?) comes out Thursday and he thinks he will be fit to travel back home by about Saturday. It's nice though having them around to get to see more of Ryan and Matthew.

Cheers to all.

Just a thought....

Blocked or runny noses? Poor bubs! (Matthew has been a bit the same lately.)

Best thing I have found to help him sleep with it, is to use a humidifier in his room. Makes it really muggy and quite warm (good in winter) and seems to help with the breathing. I think you can buy them for about $50 or you can sometimes hire them from local chemists. I have been able to borrow my SILs.

I think you can also add eucalyptus oil or something as well but I have just been using it on its own with just the steam doing the work.

Shezi I think i somehow missed your post? What was wrong with the girl who broke her arm?
sorry carrie hehe i have a habit of being confusing.. its my brothers ex and her baby(8months old) has a broken arm. claimed to have happened "while she was alone in her cot". she's in brissy and i've only talked to her once since her daughter was born.. she's so into herself its sickening. i feel for her baby.

jenny any chance you could post a "family photo"?? yous all sounds gorgeous! would love to see it.

aalivyah is bursting out of her 000 bonds suits lol. its so funny.. she's just so chubby. i love it. im going to buy her a few 00's i think. in all other clothes she fits a 000, bonds are a smaller make i reckon. its pretty bad if A's a 00 in bonds and D is a 0 also in bonds.

speaking of danielah.. poor little chicken got her finger caught in mikaelahs bed side table drawers.. it was her little finger too.. very red. ouch!

sarah, orlandos bookcase is gorgeous. if you ever see them around again that cheap please let me know. even $100 is fine by me. cheapest i've seen is about $300. and looks the same as orlandos!!

sharon thats great news about your dads recovery.

i still cant get over this no poo for a week. my girls have never done that.. they have the opposite & like to poop after every damn feed  thankfully aalivyah is only like twice a day now. i hate the night time poos. i dont turn the light on while feeding or changing nappies(i dont even get out of bed!) but obviously i have no choice if she decides to poo!

Emma~ I think you can get them cheaper at the mink website, urban baby have tagged on about $15 or so:yes: :shame: :D
I think it was Gemma who bought one for Chloe?

I got mine off the oneitem web site for $70. They only have things on sale for a limited time but they seem to repeat items once or twice so if you arent in a rush I would just keep watching the site. I have signed up so they send you the sale items each week. This is good and yet bad for the credit card HA HA!

Hi RTCsMum, you must be a superwoman with 3 kids and a new business to run, how do you manage all together? BtW, what kind of business are you currently starting, if you don't mind me asking?

No prob, I just sold out of the family Jewellery business and have got involved with my husbands plumbing business. With the new level 4 water restrictions I am currently setting up a rain water tank supply and installation division within his business. Luckily the two plumbers I have just hired have worked with us before and dont mind me being in charge LOL!! I am planning to lauch in a month but I have already got three jobs booked!!!

Oh by the way I am no superwoman just organised and I am lucky to have really good girls (though they do have thier moments!)

Shezi - I am with you, my girls have always been big pooer's! Chloe is still every nappy! Well done to A for cutting down to only twice a day, can she give C a call

By the way has anyone heard from Frangi?

Caithi, :hugs: I hope you have good news soon, it could just be too early for reliable testing as all these lovely ladies have said.

Emma-that new pic of Cooper in your avatar is sooo cute! He really looks like a little boy now, so grown up!

Hollie, LOL, I read your shout out this morning (thanks for thinking of me by the way ;)) and have been trying to reply all day! I have 1 window open on this thread which I refresh through the day, and occasionally start a reply, then another window to cruise new posts... can't believe it's nearly 11pm before I'm replying!

I love the video of Monty, he is such a little sweety. I noticed him doing my favourite baby expression; where they soundlessly open their mouths and wrinkle their noses, in pure joy!
Just wondering, what program do you use to embed the video? (Or do you have another nifty way to do it?)

Sharon-great to hear your Dad came through well, phew!

Carrie-that is pretty bl00dy unfair of them not to call you, they of all people should know what a trial it is to get anywhere on time with a baby! :banghead:

That is one of the joys of my baby health centre, it's across the road, and down a short street... approximately 2 minutes walk, YAY!
My new Mum's group starts in a couple of weeks, I think I must have missed the last one.

Kes was given a bouncer on the weekend, fantastic! He has even started to reach out to hit the toys, I can't believe how smart they are.
ALso (totally cute), he sees my shirt lifting from across the room and freezes, then smiles and laughs! Awww, he is so awesome.

We had a shower together this morning, gave him a feed in there, he was very happy! I love seeing him naked, such a massive head and this scrawny little body in comparison!

Love my snotty snorty little giggle-box X

hi lovely ladies

i am still around, cant believe how busy i am - dont know how i will ever go back to full time work. am loving being a mummy, my boy is great and having similar stories to all of you - he usually sleeps 10 hours per night but the past week he has been up squarking a few times around 4, 5 and 6am, doesnt want anything in particular, just to let us know he's there i think!
i love to put him into our bed around 7am, so perhaps he's just getting excited knowing 7am is coming around! ha ha!

i am busy with mothers group, which has finished but now turned into playgroup, baby swim, wednesday movie at the cinemas, gym a couple of times a week, and lots of long walks.

bluegin - i would LIVE at my child health nurse if she was that close by - you lucky thing. I have a great one.

shezi - alexander poo's like your girls.

R&M'smum - good idea aout the humidifier - thanks for that. i bought some Fess nose drops, havent had to use them yet.

i have bought SO MUCH from the websites you girls keep posting links to - am hoping the packages all arrive when hubby is at work. Urbanbaby has given my c/card a hammering - i got the solids starter kit, the little kickers boys socks and some other stuff i cant even remember!
Oh and simply colours website too. I personalised a bodysuit for Alexander saying "made in italy", i thought that was cute, and "Xander - since 2007", on another one.

hopefully i will make some more appearances on here from now on.

have attached an updated pic of the little boy....

Hope everyone had a good day today! I have read all your posts but am way too tired to reply to them all.. sorry!

MIL called me yesterday (monday) and asked if i could work today (tuesday) instead as Her youngest who is 11 has Friday off school. Needless to say i have been run off my feet trying to get everything done today and even more so because we had to make sure we did the work today for end of month. It was good though, got it all done too of course lol! (i am one of these silly people that actually enjoy paperwork and data entry!)

Griff slept 7.5 hours last night which was really nice!! Oh and Amity is having her school photos as day care tomorrow! Cant wait to see them. I just hope she does a nice smile lol!

All the pics are lovely! (LT and Firsttime i think it was only you guys).

Anyway, im off to bed now. catchya tomorrow evening!

Morning!

Firstly, welcome back Firsttime! Alexander is so adorable i just wanna pick him up & kiss his cheeks & cuddle him! Lol - do u happen to be in Brisbane hun??

Sorry I scared u!

Emma I can't believe 9pm is early for you! Unless I am watching something or on BH i am in bed by 8.30pm! Always have been! I'm a chicky who needs my sleep :)

BM I hope Brendan is better soon - how is he this morning? Re bed clothes Ella wears either a Wondersuit or fleecy suit or long sleeve body suit with short legs & bonds long pants with feet. We don't wrap her anymore & haven't for ages as she just finds her way out & gets cold so we tuck her tight into the sheets & cot blanket plus a fleece cot blanket over the top if cold. If it is a cold night I wrap her in her fave flanno wrap (it is still a gr8 size for her so only one she may possibly stay in lol) then tucked into sheets & thin cot blanket. It is hard to know what to do sometimes as it gets cold then hot then cold ... grr ...

Gin Kes sounds just so adorable! I love that they are at the age where they seem to just laugh & talk to you all the time & to their toys! It is fantastic for me that for example before I went to have a sleep in my bed with E (so she did actually sleep) yesterday afternoon I was able to put her in her cot with mobile playing & a couple of toys tied to the side of the cot (one is a fat bear that jingles & she can touch him, the other a pull down soft toy that plays Brahms Lullaby) & she was enjoying it while I did bottles, went to the toilet etc. I also noticed that she is sometimes touching the toys on her bouncer & kicks heaps to bounce (it vibrates so I can't have this on until she gets wingy cos otherwise she will just sit there lol).

Shezi - OMG I don't understand how she broke her arm in her cot! Poor little thing ... is A still in 000 Wondersuits or the other Bonds suits? I can't believe it! Lol. I was thinking I'm gonna have to buy E size 0 Wondersuits soon! I bought her 00 short sleeve ones last week at shopping (they come in a 2 pack at Big W). I got her the pink & white and I really want to get her the baby blue - it is such a gorgeous colour! She can wear with her white leggings or something because at least at this age you can tell she is a girl! Lol.

I have to get 00 in the Bonds singlet suits too as they barely stretch over her nappy. Does anyone know if there is such things as white ones? I have 000 in the pale pink, mid-pink and hot pink & I cannot find white anywhere! I really like them especially in this cooler weather since her singlets come untucked out of her pants plus under dresses her nappy is covered so doesn't need a bum cover. (Oh no Sarah that reminded me of your website!!!)

RTC's Mum - Sounds like a great business to get into with these water retrictions! You'll do fabulously.

Sarah - Gorgeous morning pic of Iris!

Tazzy - How is the conveyance coming along?

Nic - Hey how are you? We'll have to get together soon! Hope Madi was good for you last night!

Ryan&MatthewsMum - How can u be looking fwd to going back to work? Lol. I NEVER want to go back EVER! I wouldn't mind doing something from home if I HAD to go back. We are getting by better than i thought though & it will hopefully be better next Fin Yr.

Lana - Lol you remind me of me! No matter how busy & stressful it was at work I would just go flat out to get absolutely everything done asap so I could start with a clean fresh slate the next day. Or when I discovered how addictive BH was I would keep it open & refresh everytime I had 5 mins or between jobs to keep me sane & motivated!

Caithi - Is Anais' christening still this Sunday? All the best for it! Hope the in-laws behave!

Have I forgotten anybody? Sorry if I have!

Well gonna go check new posts & emails now as E is asleep in my bed now ... She did another 9 hour stint - managed to get her bathed & fed before I had to get DH so she went to sleep in the car & stayed asleep til 2am! Stuck dummy in while I made bottle, came back & she was asleep!

She wanted dummy again at 3am & she fell asleep but Anna, I did your dream feed idea & warmed bottle & went & picked her up to bring her into the lounge & stuck bottle in her mouth. I had to resist the urge to change her as she was so wet! Lol. She opened her eyes once to see what was going on then snored for the rest of the bottle! She went straight back down, stirred a bit but once dummy was in she was gone til 4.30am. Dummy call again. DH got up at 5am & said she was wide awake so made him change her stinking wet nappy & bring her into me. managed ot go to 6.30 until bottle time, played fo a bit in bouncer while I ate, did bottles, she got tired & we went back to bed at 8am.

Sorry for the detailed update on sleeping but it is just it has been the same for like 4 nights in a row so hoping this is a routine & soon she'll drop the 3am feed :)

Look fwd to reading updates on the other piggies during the day! xoxo

Ok I have a question:

I was looking at the hands and feet Impression (as you do) I had done for Cooper and on the plaque I just noticed that they have engraved his length at birth at 51cm not 50cm. Now I can't remember what length the lady that did the impression had on the invoice that she gave me as I threw it out:( . Now should I ring her and asked what she has written down and if she wrote it down wrong get her to fix it? Or just ask her if she can fix it and I pay for it?

I can't leave it the way it is as it will annoy the cr@p out of me LOL

RTC'sMum, Nope, thats not freakish, I get it completely.

Carrie, what a crappy day! Hope today is better.

R&M's Mum, great to hear your Dad is doing better. You can always tell when they start getting grumpy with the fussing cant you LOL.

I second the vaporiser! and baby balsam (on bigger babies anyway). We brought a vaporiser with Sams first cold and have never looked back.

Gin, I love their little bodies too. My fascination is Leahs chubby thights. I cant get enough of them.

Leah has been waking 3-4 hrly through the night lately. Im a tired mummy. Her day sleeps are improving slowly - Im in a better frame of mind anyway so there must be improvement happening. Shes a lot happier too to be sleeping more during the day.

We've weaned off the dummy during the daytime but at night she looks for it sometimes so when putting her to bed I take it out of her mouth before putting her in her bassinet but during the night shes sleepy enough that she just spits it out and continues sleeping now that shes not dependant on it.... or she has been doing that but its bound to change like everything else.

Anyway, need ot do some online groceries, no milk, bread or most importantly, coffee!

P.S. Hope the sick bubbies get better Sarah and B's Mum

I guys, so much to read up on....

Jacey slept from 7pm to 6.15am so very happy about that. I think maybe she went through a growth spurt at 12 weeks when she was waking once a night there for a week! We had to go for Breaky this morning and it was terrible, she just screamed the whole trip in town cause she was overtired once we were there she slept though!

Had building and pest report done on our new house and it was all good! Anyway nice pics of the bubs girls, so cute, dont have time to write much more as I need to ring real estates to sell our house as that it what we have decided to do with it now!

Sarah you are so lucky with Iris and her massive sleeps.
Monty has gone back to doing around 7 hours.. hoping he'll do a big one tonight as I've kept him up a lot today.
Thats a gigantic smile!!

Shezi I posted off your "rhinowraps" thats what DP calls them.

LL.. I've posted off your material too.

I'm feeling really nauseus today and last night.. hope it goes away soon,.. even gave up climbing cause of it.

Monty was a grinning idiot yesterday, wouldn't stop smiling at everything.

DP was hopping towards him like a frog and doing farts when he got close to him... Monty found it hilarious I found it smelly. Love my two boys.

Ooo... forgot to mention, An @rsehole called me a "Stupid woman" today. I was in the city and the road was VERY clear.. no cars coming at all, and about 15 people were crossing the road with me on a "red man" This stupid foreign man called me a stupid woman for "crossing the road with a pram".. I couldnt believe he said that.. and what did he do?? Crossed the road as well!!! So obviously there were no cars coming. As if i'd put my self in danger,..let alone my baby@ I wanted to smack him out.

LT - monty sounds adorable & i had to LOL when i read what your dp was doing! Hope the windows were open! Haha ...

LL - did u get your housework done today? I was the laziest ever today! after brekky when E was tired again i went back to bed til 9 (she was meant to feed then but didn't wake til after 11!) so i sat on the internet til then & after then. She went back to sleep in her bouncer so i decided since it was like 1pm i should have a shower ... imagine if someone came to the door & i'm in my nighty & 3/4 pj pants, stripy socks, hair everywhere & no bra ROFL!!!

Decided to go to Bonds outlet today but by the time i decided & fed E her 2pm bottle, got her dressed etc didn't get in the car til 2.45pm so rang dh to see when he'd finish but decided it was too far to go to Bonds :( Maybe next week! Yay! I need stuff too - not just for E.

After rushing like mad to the nearest servo cos the stupid fuel gaige (sp?) was beeping at me (even though 1/4 full?) went to local shopping centre instead. I wanted to get this pack of dvds with Devil Wears Prada in it but didn't like 2 of the other movies so I looked at the price ($64.95) then managed to get 3 movies for like $50 anyway in the sale. I got Devil Wears Prada reduced to $20 from $36(!), and a 2 pack dvd with Rumour Has It & Monster In Law (HAHA).

Ella was crying in the pram as per usual & I was looking at the toys & found these FP keys i also got for my neice when she was 3 months & loved them so I put them in front of Ella & she started laughing & her eyes went as wide as saucers! LOL. So she got them as only like $12 anyway plus i think there was a % off. E also got another Size 1 pair of shorts = pink boardies reduced to like $5! They have elastic & pull in so should fit. They have silver writing.

Then I went to Kmart to lay buy her FP swing as she just loves her cousin's & she cries when i take her out. I read it was $179 so put on laybuy & must've been on sale cos it came up as $139! Yay! Can't wait to get it off ...

Sorry blabbing again ...

Nic & I were talking & as Emma's is a bit far for her & Madi to come tomorrow we thought to arrange something more central. We are thinking South Bank & we could have lunch at one of the cafes there? That way also there is public transport & the weather is great for it.

Thinking Thurs 14 June ... we can pm final details later ... Also Sharon it might be better for you with Ryan then? He will have a good time as we can go to the playground!

SHARON - Are you still going to Emma's tomorrow? Is it still on?

EMMA - Can u txt me & let me know if on or not cos i have to go to bed lol.

what a great idea - it's pretty cheap too - it's www.simplycolors.org (http://www.simplycolors.org)

OMG you have me addicted to that site! I sat here for ages busting to go to the toilet but sat there & designed like 4 things & thought I'd keep in shopping cart so i could save them & buy one or 2 each fortnight or something but when i logged back on to show dh what i'd done they'd gone! GRR!!!

Anyway I made:

Hot Pink L/sleeve shirt which says in white "Nobody puts baby in a corner" (Nobody was slightly bigger font).

White dress with purple fancy writing "Daddy's Little Princess" (Princess in larger font).

Red short sleeve body suit with yellow kid's writing saying "If u think I'm CUTE u should see my uncles".

Light pink bodysuit which said "CHUB SECURITY".

Just annoying cos had to put an * in first line before Chub otherwise it was like write up on the neck instead of in middle of suit ... looked like flower though so was fine! Wish they had more colours in the font!

Hi Girls, well Antonio slept for 9 hrs straight last night :yelclap:, 8 hrs night before, so be interesting to see what he does tonight.

I also experienced my worst nappy ever today, during his 4pm feed, he had to stop to do business... dad was feeding him ha ha! Yep you guessed it, it was the biggest sloppiest, runniest, most foul smelling one to date. (Of course i had to change him LOL) but it nearly made me :barf: too. I never gaged changing his nappy until today.

Still have no idea why it was that way, he is eating fine, formula hasn't changed, no temp or anything still happy and alert. Maybe just a clean out?

Hope you are all well, will catch up on posts in a min.

Here are some pics of when i went for Dinner at my aunts at the end of April.

Pretty exciting that you are starting to sew your own nappies, will you enter the next MCN Super Swap? I am thinking I will if they want anymore knitting entries.

Carrie- great deal on the swing! Hope you get to the Bonds outlet soon, they're great! I have one nearby, but have only been once... I wanted tracksuit pants (pay $50 I think in Myer) and they were marked down to $20, but scanned at the register at $10!

LT- your frog is a funny bugger, Monty must just love it :D

Anna- glad to hear that Leah's sleeping is improving, though slowly, hopefully a good night awaits you :fingerscrossed:

Taryn- great news on the real estate front, very exciting!

Gemma- great idea for the new company branch, looking forward to hearing how it goes!

Rough evening, Kes decided not to sleep today, off I go to settle him again! (Poor fella is starving and windy and needs hugs! :o)

**EDIT: AD-he looks so tiny in those pics, amazing how different they look beside adults! LOL

Taryn i think that Griff was having a late growth spurt too when he wasnt sleeping cos he is back to his normal wonderful sleeping habits again!! Yay! Im a very happy mummy again!! (he slept 9 hours last night)

LL - Are you still going to the SOR Perth meet tomorrow?? Really looking forward to being able to chat again (minus Amity annoying the babies lol)

AD - LOVe the pics of Antonio! he is beautiful!!

Brissie gals - hope you all have a great meet tomorrow!

Carrie - Love the Chub Security suit lol!! How adorable!!

Im so sorry that i havent replied to everyone!! I only just caught up on like 3 or 4 pages of posts and cant remember them all!!

Amity had her day care photos today so i will make sure i scan a pic once i get them back! They are awesome!

Amity was really good today! I went to the shops and she had her harness on (looped over the pram handle ) BUT the big thing is that she walked NICELY next to the pram the whole time!! She didnt want to use her skate board thingy! I was so proud of her and told her so too!!

Ok, enough of me bragging!

I was looking at the hands and feet Impression (as you do) I had done for Cooper and on the plaque I just noticed that they have engraved his length at birth at 51cm not 50cm. Now I can't remember what length the lady that did the impression had on the invoice that she gave me as I threw it out

i would ring and ask what was on the invoice & also get her to fix it. it shouldnt cost anything as she should have double checked everything with you! how frustrating!! if she has any business sense at all she'll offer to cover the cost. geez id be annoyed.

Shezi I posted off your "rhinowraps" thats what DP calls them.

hehe. thanx! did you abuse the guy back? what an idiot!

Griff slept 7.5 hours last night which was really nice!! Oh and Amity is having her school photos as day care tomorrow! Cant wait to see them. I just hope she does a nice smile lol!

well done on the sleep griffin! lana i cant wait till M gets daycare photos done. how cute! :D
is A still in 000 Wondersuits or the other Bonds suits? I can't believe it! Lol. I was thinking I'm gonna have to buy E size 0 Wondersuits soon!

I have to get 00 in the Bonds singlet suits too as they barely stretch over her nappy. Does anyone know if there is such things as white ones?

yep A is still in 000, i bought her a 00 bonds suit today and she swims in it.. but im sure i will shrink it in the dryer :o lol A easily fits 000 in the other bonds suits too.. they're actually baggy. D is in a 0 in bonds. i bought her a 1 today coz i was in myer and it was a pair of bonds leggings & short sleeved top.. very cute. but way too big. they didnt have a 0 tho. it'll fit her soon.. i hope lol.

its the fisher price papasan swing, we dont have it a friend of mine has - its around $300 i think.
thanx for that. will keep my eye out for it(on sale lol)

ok an update on us.. all is well. girls are as gorgeous as ever. we were out today till 2.30.. managed to get out the house at 8.20, went and got petrol.. felt SO terrible coz i left the girls in the car while i paid.. its the one thing i said i would never ever ever do.(i usually have 2 in my arms and M holding my hand) i parked right next to the door and no-one was waiting to pay so i jumped out locked the car and paid.. mustve looked like the biggest idiot to other people filling their cars up.. i was eyeing everyone up & down  im one paranoid mumma!
anyway then we went to my sisters.. got my eyebrows waxed.. then we all went to garden city.. so funny tho coz we both have double mountain buggys so we tend to take up heaps of room. then grabbed some lunch and went to my nan & pops as they've been a bit unwell so mum has been travelling the 40mins every day to stay with them so we shouted lunch for them all.. then back home and just walked through the door and my friend with 3 kids pretty much same ages as my kids rang and wanted to know if we were free.. so she came over. it was a really nice day and to top it off the girls were buggered so i had them ALL asleep by 7
forgot to mention aalivyah slept from 7 till 4.20am last night.. then had a quick feed and straight back down till 7.30. love love love my little chicken. i didnt get to bed till 11 tho. frustrating.

Carrie & Gin - you are so lucky to have a bonds outlet nearby! i LOVE bonds, always have and now i can get their baby stuff too. but not at outlet prices :crying:

just had my weekly dinner at dads, my stepmum was at work so my brother cooked us a rogan josh curry. for my bday each year we have a curry night and vote on the best to win the 'curryfest cup' (an old pewter mug). my brother has been in london for the 3 years we've done it so he is practicing cooking curries to enter in the competition! its really funny coz in our group, mostly the men cook and they are so competitive, they get right into it. i cook the rice in the rice cooker lol...

Suits me. Hopefully though Ryan is well enough to go to child care. His cold seems to have worsened overnight and he complained of a sore ear early this morning. He's still asleep now which is very unusual.... I am hoping when he wakes he bounces up as he usually does. If not then I will have to miss the meet and take him to the doc.

Will keep you posted.

Glad to hear you are feeling better Sarah. Sam has just gone off to the Drs as hes had a bad cold for 2 weeks - was better but seems to have relapsed with a really sore throat again so I think its a bacterial thingy now. Marc has gone too as hes dying of a cold and has had to work at home for 5 days  . Hanging out for him to get back to work and out of the house!

Just lit my first fire of the season. Yummo. Love open fires but freak out about the house burning down in the middle of the night hence I have 5 smoke detectors in the house..... a bit paranoid  . Anyhoooooo........

Morning!

leah is having a sleep in her cot this morning. Took an hr to get her down but shes there now....... now I have to wake her in 40 mins for the Dr for her immunisations. Yes, Ive procrastinated on it a wee bit.:o Love having my bedroom back - I can open the curtains and get some light in there.

Sarah, I agree! Lets do this meet. Lets arrange a time and date and who ever can make it can make it and who ever cant we'll get together another time because it seems we never are able to all get there at once.

Caiti, tell them to bugger off. Sometimes Im glad none of our family are in this country as DH's family would be exactly the same. Hope the stitches heal realy soon. When do you get the results?

Gorgous babies girls!!! We do have a stunning lot dont we  . So jealous you brissy girls got ot meet up. Put names to faces properly.

Shezi, A is gorgous in the little pram! Yes Sam is a small one. Hes only just getting into size 2 clothes now.

Oh what else.......... Madam is waking eveyr 2 hrs in teh night  Has been doing it for a week now so Im a bit brainless and exhausted. Dont know what her issue is. Doesn't seem to be any reason for it.

Ok, need to wizz through the housework then go to the Dr. Going to get Leah a warm sleeping bag too as Im thinking that might be some of the night waking evey though shes in long sleeved undershirt, socks, all in one, wrap and three fleece blankets. Takes after her mummy and gets cold easy.

Have a great day girls.

FRANGI SCOOBS and MrsMiggins.. where are you all?

Taking toadler for a swim today. (better do some muff mainenece!)

I bought a dinning room talbe yesterday, I saw it in a cafe DP and I met at, nice big solid table with two benches so they sit under the table when we are not using it. Fantastic for sewing on and for when toadlet want to do drawings and painting etc. Oh yes.. good for eating on too.

caithi :fingerscrossed: all is well. marks family are being ridiculous. thankfully you're strong ans wont put up with their sh!t. they need to have boundaries and mark should be setting them. very very rude. i'd move states :devil6:

Caithi, great to hear from you! :hugs: Your poor boozies, those stitches sound nasty, but good that it's done! Love the suitcase, when you're in Melbourne will you have time to catch up for coffee? I'd love to meet you and little Nai Nai.

Anna- you must be exhausted! Kes wakes every 3 hours generally at night, but as he is next to me it's not such a big deal. Cracks me up though because being so tired he is a sloppy eater overnight so he makes me all wet and keeps slipping off :o

Those Brissy pics are great, lovely to see your faces, and the babies together (such individuals, not hard to tell apart!)

Sarah-must have been scary with the Zap, not nice. Maybe you should get that Bugaboo... :p LOL

Feeling a bit off colour last couple of days. Had a sore throat yesterday, and by last night a headache and blocked nose too, I slept in today (went back to bed after DH left) so hopefully that will help. No time to be sick for Mums!

thats terrible. when i had a valco 3wheeler with toddler seat for M & D it tipped to the side while they were both in it. D was only 3weeks old  i was SO peeved. valco did absolutely nothing about it. they did not care at all. i sold the pram for a loss but just couldnt put my girls back in it. they're fab prams for one baby but the toddler seat just puts weight on the wrong part. M only weighed like 12kgs and it was an upto 20kg seat. not impressed!
thats why im not so keen on 3wheelers. p&t is turning me tho. just not sure how much fun the kid will have in the back.. altho probably lots as she'll be booting her big sister haha
im still debating prams.. its frustrating.. the one i have loved for ages is the SC transaction(i think its called anyway.. its the 4wheeler) gorgeous gorgeous pram but doesnt have a toddler seat or anything so not practical for me. then i think i wouldnt need a toddler seat right now anyway.. i need 2 proper seats coz D will sleep no probs in a pram. its just so hard. i love my MB but it does get to be annoying pulling it in and out the car every 5seconds..

ok just worked it all out. i need a new CAR! :D
great so now i need to work out the best car that is a 7 seater with enough room for my MB. fun fun fun:rolleyes:

Sorry Guys Lana was ahead of me and posted the minimink already Ha!!

Sarah - my sister has the bugaboo and loves it.

Caithi - hope the stitches heal quickly for you and the results are good news

LT - Monty is such a great sleeper!!

Shezi - dont you love what they can get up to when you step away for a minute!! Also I am jealous you actually get to go to the toilet without an entourage!! My girls have to come with me, and then Ruby does a running commentry "Are you doing a wee or poo mum? Have you finished, why are you using so much paper? dont forget to wash your hands mum etc etc...... "

BG - K's hair is so gorgeous I love the curls!! I am with Sarah, breast feeding pillows are great and I prop Chloe up on hers on the couch which she loves as she can see everything and is also next to me.

Sydney Girls - Where and when I will get there by hook or by crook!!

Oh by the way the suitcase Caithi had a link to has also been on oneitem really cheap so if you want one I would keep looking there.

I downloaded some of the photos from the family wedding we went to a few weeks ago. Unfortunatly we didnt get the perfect family photo I was hoping for with everyone all dressed up but maybe next time!

Had our shots. 2 freakin' hours later :banghead: . Half the day gone. Anyway all up to date now.

Gin, Leah is right next to me too but in the bassinet now. I put her in bed wiht me on the really cold mornings but I dont like feeding her sleeping as Im scared I'll suffocate her with my big boobs. Plus when I do feed sleeping she grazes me something terrible and I pay for it for 2 days following.

Ok, housework to do as Sam gets picked up in less than an hour. Cant believe how quick today has gone.

Hi girls.

Haven't had a chance to catch up on posts since Wed - dreading it lol.

The Bris meet was great, it was nice to meet you Emma, Sharon, Cooper & Matthew. You girls wait until Sharon posts the pictures she took of Ella & Matthew holding hands!!! LOL. I luv those little boys!

Update on us. E is still sleeping from about 5.30pm til at least 3am, it was 4 this morning & bottle at 5! Yay!

Been out all day again today. Windscreen dude came this morning to fix my windscreen & he'd said 11 but he rocked up at 9am when me & e were asleep! I heard the car at the last min & raced to bathroom & put some clothes on. OMG so glad i wasn't in lounge where he would've seen me in nighty & no bra! LOL. At least i got to see last 15 mins of niece's swimming which i wasn't gonna be able to go to.

Ella is on waiting list for swimming to start Sept or Oct. Better lose some weight by then! Oh & buy some new boardies ...

Went with SIL & niece to shops then & got a drink then did groceries. Had a nice surprise when DH got home early just after us! Bad surprise when he was doing bonnet on car & found a stupid dead cat! No one has claimed it although one chic who lives behind us said she has a black cat with a red collar like this one "but it wouldn't be" hers. Bet it is.

Lana - have fun at the dinner tonight!

Toady - dining table sounds beautiful!

Anna - Leah is adorable! I think the one in the pink singlet she looks similar to Ella in hers!

Sarah - Luv the skull & crossbones jumpsuit! I want! Oh & Ella was looking at something in the distance - her FP keys! It was the only way to stop her winging & wanting her dummy cos she's a sook when she's with other bubs (Nic remember GC meet? Lol). Those keys are the best! That is also why i have no good pics!

Gin - Luv Kes's hair!

AD - Antonio is so cute!

Nic - Can't wait to see Pixie Fotos. Have to book E's. I really want them done soon.

Jaimie - When you come back on let us know if u are free for a meet at SouthBank & you should bring Jaz as well!

Sorry if i missed anyone ... Oh LL how did Harper sleep?

Ok off to watch end of BB & H&A then FNL. Good night! xoxo

Oh btw my grandma's kidneys had had failure but it was due to drugs & now heaps better. Mum & dad finally got the radiographer (who went to school with my mum lol) and a nurse to sit down & tell them what exactly was going on as we had no idea. :)Unfortunately my g'pa is in as well as was in heaps of pain & he doesn't have very long left so he prob def won't be coming home :( At least he is no longer in pain from all the Morphine. They are asking after Ella so will be seeing them this w/e. They are in same ward, 2 rooms apart. I wish they could be in the same room together ...

I must try & get up there next week as well i think. I can just say i don't think my sis is gonna have a very happy 21st this yr poor chook.

Good night for real now!

xoxo

Ok major whinge to follow be warned!

I am covered in eczema and i know exactly how I got it............STRESS hence my sig stressed is desserts spelt backwards shoudl be hideous rash spelt backwards instead:banghead:

OK so this will sound selfish and ungrateful thats why im only voicing my opinon on here and not irl etc

I cant live with my mother anymore, shes only home one day a week and 5 nights a week BUT its like im 10 yrs old again!
ARGH im about to explode and the house is just a $pit we have to sell and cut our losses so the whole adventure so to speak has been a BIG waste of time,

I feel really awful as we have unsettled O's routine, taken him out of his kindy put him in another one and all for what????
This was suppose to get us into a nice home of our own and instead I get covered in this hideous rash and I feel like im suffocating!!!

Im having major talks with dh tonight as something has to be done!

My sis (the one who just got engaged) has kindly offered us her flat (rat hole lol) when she moves in with her man come sept. BUT thats way too far away we need out now!

ARGH! vent over please do not feel badly of me I do love my mum and am forever grateful to her, but I cant help it if shes nuts and is slowly sending me insane too:eek: :o

Sarah - hope you find a way to de-stress soon! i moved back in with my mum for a couple of months when i was 21 and she drove me insane! i love her but not living with her and my stepdad...

Gin - Kes so cute! Harper was on my lap when i played it and he was fully staring at Kes on the screen :)

Lana - nice of Sam to have both kids!
did i miss something? why are you weaning Griff?

well, i had an argument with DH on the phone last night. over a year ago, i witnessed a crime - made a statement and did a photo identification and now i have been summonsed to go to court! i rang them and said i can't coz H is breastfed etc but they said i have to  they suggested H can go in the creche when i make my statement. yeh, i want my baby in the creche with all the criminals kids!! (sorry, that is judgemental... not ready for H to be in any kind of creche yet anyway). ANYWAY i asked Al to come to the court so he can hold Harps while i go in and he said he isnt going to sit there for who knows how long and i should just leave Harper at home with him and some expressed bottles. but the problem is i don't know how long it will be and i'm not ready to leave him for an unknown amount of time. Al says i am being stupid but he just doesnt understand. H is only 12 weeks, i'm not prepared to go out not knowing how long i'll be away from him!! so yeh, we had a fight about it and i said i would find someone else to come to the court with me...
i'm going to ring the court and try to find out approx how long i will be there. if the witness statements are first thing then it will be ok but if i could be there all day, there is NO WAY i am being apart from my boy that long! am i being unreasonable?

Great to hear the dinner went well, it sounds like Sam is being very thoughtful, good one!

Thanks Shezi!

Sarah-that sounds so sore mate, nasty business :(
It's hard being back with parents, I'm the same, I love them, but it's just not the same once your a grown up with your own family. I hope it gets sorted soon and you get a new dream home!

LL- that is so cute, Harper must have wondered where the baby in the computer disapeared to afterwards! LOL
That is tough about court. I don't think you're being unreasonable at all, and I'm actually shocked to hear that you're expected to leave him in the creche, is there a reason you can't just carry him? Not like he's old enough to be listening to the testimony!

LL definitely not an unreasonable request! i can imagine chris would say just put them in the creche.. damn males. is there someone else that can go with you and watch harper? which courthouse is it? if you get stuck i can come up :D i'll just put both bubs in the double pram and we'll tour the crims

forgot to mention.. chris went to his parents on thursday to fix his brothers car.. they live opposite a park and this girl was walking and a dog was following her.. she ended up going to chris and asking if it was his.. he said no. but the dog wouldnt leave her alone so chris held it while she walked away.. then he let it go and it ran straight across the road and was hit by a car! :(
he took it to the vet and nothings broken or anything.. its only a puppy, isnt upto date with shots(not sure how they know that) and has no tags or chips so they were going to put it down after a week if not claimed(which i thought theyd go to a pound first??)
anyway chris has left his number to be called once the week is up coz he doesnt want it put down. thing is D is allergic to some dogs so we'd have to make sure she wont rash up. & i've told him if he wants it he has to clean up after it coz im not cleaing more poo! sounds horrible coz i'd love a dog but i had planned on getting one once all the kids are out of nappies. i just hope it gets claimed. i can see its just going to be more work for me.
chris hasnt once done a pooy nappy of any of the girls. and wont even take the rubbish out coz he doesnt want to touch the bin lid(sook!) so as if he'll pick up dog poo every day!

LOL Shezi, I'm usually the one emptying the kitchen bin too,
Very sad about the pup, but great that it wasn't killed or had any breaks.

Anyone remember me posting at about 16 weeks preg that I was doing some home plumbing? Anyhoo, I got too pregnant before it was finished (some parts were too old, and the new ones weren't fitting) so my laundry sink (Kestrel's bath) only had cold water running to it.
Well, today I went to Bunnings and got another part, and after a heck of a lot of banging and crashing and fury (nearly tears, but not quite! :p) I finally got the hot water connected, with NO LEAKS!!! :smiliedance:

**Quick note: No, I didn't bathe Kes in cold water, hehehe, not that mean, just meant bringing the hot in with a bucket ;)

Sarah.. I cannot offer you any advice, but I do have a tube of excema cream for you if you like and a bottle of arsenic for your mother!

BG.. Lovely Kes!!!! I wish I had a video camera with sound.

LL.. I'm going to go the opposite way to what the others have said... I reckon Leave Harper with your DH.. he's obviously willing and if you can express and have eough for hin frozen then he'll be ok.
That way you wont have to stress if he gets grizzly, and as you said you may be there for a long time.

It might be good for you too, practice run for when you DO have to leave him for a longer period of time. Al might actually enjoy having some boys time together. Plus it will make him feel good knowing you trust him with Harper.

Take some magazines with you, go shopping or for a walk when you know they wont be needing you.

I've been a witness for a crime that happeed to me ad it was very stressful, having a baby there worrying about an uknown person taking care of him may make it worse. At lease you'll know he's with someone that loves him and knows how to take care of him.

I bought a backpack carrier for the toaldet today!! Love it, so much more comfy than the baby bjorn cause he's so fat... I mean heavy. He is a little grizxzly today, maybe not very well, puffy eyes, but we took him out and he looked around and seamed to be enjoying it. Then went face plant forwards and zzzzzz. I need to get a sleepy neck brace for it so their heads dont get uncomfy if they fall asleep.

OK the expo was good, noisy and busy but good, didnt get many freebies BUT I did score two maternity bras for $10 each, really pretty ones ( hot pink and a light floral pink one very sexy lol)

O had an awesome time at the circus, ladies in sydney should go my sis said the kids had a brillant time

Hi girls

Not much to report here... dh went fishing again last night while i was watching FNL in bed, E was asleep & he was nice & fed her cos she actually woke up at 1am after he got home. Then she wanted another around 4 or 4.30! Hope this doesn't continue & she goes back to normal routine tonight ... so far so good - she's in bed!

Does anyone else sometimes go in the bath tub with bub so they can have a deep one? It was cold here today & this arvo me & E had a nice hot bath & she luv'd it - prob thought it was funny i was in the bath with her LOL.

Went to the hospital for a couple of hours today. E has been good today apart from wanting a feed every 2 hours but only drinking 100ml of her bottle instead of the 180. Weird. Lotsa pains today too :(

G'ma is looking heaps better, kidneys are working better now (think i wrote what happened in my post last night?). She's spoilt cos she gets this massive room with a sofa bed but that's cos G'pa is in there during days & can sleep on that etc then goes to his room at night I think. He looks terrible. It's so sad. He doesn't have long ... sorry depressing 'me' post again. I am just needing someone to talk to ...

Sarah - That is not unreasonable what you said about your mum. I couldn't move back in with my parents! Espesh with a kidlet in tow, let alone 2! Hope you find a lovely home soon. Is it possible to sell then rent for a while if you don't find anything straight away or rent while waiting for it to sell? I get eczma on my arms, occasionally other places too - I can't imagine it everywhere all at once though! Hugs babe xo

Gin - My computer is too slow for the video! I'm so disappointed!

Lana - Glad the dinner went well!

Shezi - That poor dog! At least it will have a home to go to. What kind is it? No one has claimed this dead cat & we don't know what to do with it. We wanted to call Council to get it but of course didn't discover til after hours on Friday so would have to wait to Monday! Aaagh!

LOL re your dp not wanting to touch the bin lid! Haha!! That is Dave's job, taking the rubbish down & i also make him take all the nappies from NW down too!

LL - I think I am with LT on this one. I know it would be very hard to leave Harper for an unkown amount of time (I won't even go to a movie yet!) but it is something you have to do & that criminal deserves what he gets & you need to help that happen! I think i would be more worried if he was in the creche with some unknown carer with a bunch of kids to look after so may not get attention a 12 week old requires. If your DH can look after him that's prob what I would do. I do see where you're coming from though ...

Who else? La di da ...

Gin (again!) - very impressed as well with your plumbing work! Quite the handy-woman!

Night! xo

LT- the new carrier sounds great, I too would love to see a pic . I am very keen on my camera, it's the Pentax Optio MX still shot camera, the video is an added bonus. Freaky looking camera, but great quality and it was pretty cheap (relative to others, I think around $400?)

Carrie-it's nice that your Grandpa can be with your Grandma during the day at least, it must be very hard though for you all seeing him going downhill :hugs:

Sarah, sounds like a fun day! Gorgeous pic, your sis is so lucky holding it! What circus? I went to the Great Moscow Circus years ago, was very exciting!

Gemma-I'd appreciate a plumbing hand actually, too cramped for me under the sink! LOL

I'm a bit excited, while at the hardware I bought a radiant heater with thermostat for the bedroom, it hangs on the wall! Hoping we have a cosier nights sleep and that it helps me shake my cold.

*Shezi-that party sounds awesome!!! Lucky little girls.

Shezi.. we took some pics.

Monty has been grizzly a bit today, not bery well, got back from taking him for a walk and asked Adrian to take a pic and Monty pulled out a huge smile just as he took it! My favourite photo of him. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/7918637@N06/525943754/)
It's very easy to put on. Very comfy too , it sits on your hips, heaps of storage space in it too, no carrying appy bags.

WOW Sarah! I bet O LOVED petting the lion

BTW the backpack is called Koala (http://www.paddypallin.com.au/page.asp?PartID=210&Step=3&CategoryID=&DepartmentID=7&BrandID=&ProductID=481), from an adventure store, Paddy Palin. I got it for $200, ticket price $230.
I'm sure there are heaps of second hand ones at lots cheaper prices..

Carry, Monty has a deep relaxation bath by himself. loves it. I just rest his head on my wrist and hold one armpit with my fingers. He has a bath with Daddy about every second day.

My dad has a great way of killing somone.. we were plotting how to dispose of my mum and save dad $80 k a year.
Put a thermos flask of liquid nitrogen in the car when they get in to drive, (with the lid off). Because nitrogen kills you, but leaves the body, there is no evidence of what killed the person.. or in the thermos!!

LT that photo is just wonderful! Makes a cute avi too
He must get a good view from it. You have a P&T pram yeah? Have you found that your curious little man gets a bit sick of the totally flat mode? I was naughty and did up the zips on ours (they usually only get done up in toddler mode) to give him a bit of a view, worked well when he was sad the other day. Back to flat for our stroll today.

As for baths, I fill the sink to a level that he can be nearly totally underwater when he is on his back, with his bottom on a flannel and me holding his head out... what is recommended depth?
Also, I keep his ears fully out of the water, that's right isn't it? I use the theory of bathing my animals, LOL, I should have got them to show me in hospital, but I was too keen to leave!
I wish we had a bath so I could jump in with him, I miss baths!

**EDIT: LT you're a corker, LOL, be lost without you! Wonder if it has been removed yet...

Little_Toad
02-06-2007, 06:58 PM
BG.. I put the zips up ages ago, they are only inclined a teeny bit, plus fully flat out mode it seamed like they were actually laying with their head lower than their feet.

He is holding his head up quite well now so the backpack is fine.

With baths I dont think the depth matters, His bum doesnt touch the bottom at all, he just floats the whole time.

The midwife said its fine for their ears to get under the water, just not their eyes and mouth.

He tilts his head from side to side all the time.

Hollie - just luuurve the photo of you and Monty. Can't imagine him being grizzly, just look at that beautiful smiling face.

re P&T Pram... I too have had the zips done up most of the time. With Matthews reflux he needs to be raised slightly and I agree with Hollie that it seems as they are too low on the head when it is flat. Problem is that it is really a little too close to the toddler seat with the zips done up. I am actually considering raising it up another set or when the toddler seat is on seeing if I can put the toddler seat on the back and recline it (I have the sport model) to see if that is okay for Matt. Love my P&T though. It is so stable even with both kids (except going sideways across steep slopes - not good in any pram). My first pram was a Valco Rebel (just loved it) but didn't like the toddler seat option - too high for stability.

Baths - I now run a smallish bath for Matthew where he can lay on his back and with his head on the bottom the water just comes up to his ears. I then use a little watering can to "shower" the water over him and he just loves it. Kicks and splashes and smiles the whole time. Just so cute. I then leave the water in and just add some more hot water if necessary when Ryan comes for his bath. (Ever the water conscious here in Brissy).

Before I forget - Carrie & Emma: it was really great to catch up with you both and meet your darling Ella and Cooper. I need to get on the other computer to upload the photos but (if I can get my butt off this couch and away from the choccies) I will try and do it this weekend.

BTW at the meet we had just the best behaved bubs on Thursday. All they did was sleep, feed and play for the camera on the couch. Sooooo proud of them - Clever March Mummies Bubbas. :yelclap:

NEWSFLASH......

Matthew poo'd yesterday - first time in 11 days  and yes it was enormous!

I was sooo hanging out for it though. He has a pattern now where at nights, once it gets past about 7 days with no poo, he wakes up several times an hour from about 2am right thru to morning. He doesn't want to be awake and is just grunting and 'squeezing' and pulling his legs up. If I just leave him he ends up screaming blue murder. I put the dummy in and he generally just sucks away and curls up and goes back to sleep (for anything from 5mins to 20 mins before waking again).

Makes for a Very Tired mummy . Three nights in a row with approx only 2-3 hrs sleep. Bad for mummy, bad for baby, bad for Ryan (poor kids). Dh was away but came home to a very tired me. so bad for Dh as well.

Anyway last night after his poo was a little better - he only woke every hour or so from 2am.

He's done another poo today (while shopping at Woolworths) so I am soooo hopeful I am in for a better night tonight. :fingerscrossed:

Would you believe I squeezed all of the girls in the bath with me the other day. Ruby and Tilly thought it was hilarious that Chloe and I jumped in with them, that was until Chloe decided to POO on all of us!!! Yes she was floating in the bath and decided that was a great time to go for it!! Needless to say I was like "Everyone stand up!! " and then turned the shower on to wash us all off. OMG AN 11 DAY POO! i think every day is bad enough. when Matthew is grunting etc do you push his legs up to his belly and cycle his legs? i do it to H and he does massive farts! its so funny. he likes it too, always smiles, must feel good!

Carrie :hugs: for your grandparents. i was thinking today about how special grandparents are and missing my nan.

Sherree, the birthday party sounds great! the 4th is my stepdads bday too. (they live in dubai). Oh and Al wants a puppy too but i said i already clean up enough sh!t. plus we have two cats and a bunch of fish. plenty of pets!

Sarah, i am so jealous of O - lions are my fave animal, i would love to touch a cub!

Hollie - that is a beautiful photo, i'd put it in a frame. Monty looks so gorgeous and cosy in there too.

thanks for all the advice re the court day, ladies. i think i'd get 'separation anxiety' but i have to think about it. i dont really want H hanging out at the court all day but i would like Al to be there, we could go sit in the sun at the park when i'm not needed, i need to find out when the witnesses do their thing. it all happened before i was even pregnant, i wouldn't have made a statement if i'd known it would be 14 months later!! apparently the guy had another trial in may so he is prob in jail again already! the police told me he'd done similar before (broke into a house, took car keys then he crashed the car into another car where i was at training - he seemed really out of it)
anyway i am rambling now lol :ecomcity:

omgosh speaking of birthday plans.. contacted a few bouncy castle places.. one tried to charge me $595 for a combo castle for 4hours. my face looked like this  haha. i have found an even better one for $335. its a similar design and same place we used for our engagement party(had heaps of kids there so it seemed like the best thing haha and it was.. apart from someone getting a blood nose.. not a kid either.. surprised? didnt think so lol.)

LL - Im with LT on this one i think. I say leave Harper with Al if he is offering! At least that way if he is unsettled he can be put to bed etc and you never know how long they will need you there! They may even need you there for more than one day! Better to leave him with someone he knows in an environment he is comfortable in.

LL - Im weaning Griff (or trying to lol) because i really feel that i need some ME time... Unfortunately though, he refuses to take the bottle! Not surprising though considering how much he hates dummies... I might try and express some milk and get him used to the bottle that way and then just slowing change him over to formula... Just means it might take a few months but thats ok... Even just expressing would be ok and breastfeeding normally the rest of the time...

I really do love b/f him i just the freedom to be able to go out as well. I havent expressed at all so im a bit unsure of how to do it properly without causing too much extra milk...

Amity used to LOVE her jolly jumper! She would bounce around so much that she would even fall asleep in it... I need to get one for Griff as i was borrowing a friends last time.

Sharon - I cant believe Matthew went 11 days without pooing!! Its no wonder he wakes a lot a few days before hand, he must be very uncomfy lol!

We went to a 2nd birthday party today! Amity had a ball of course and Griff was such a good boy! Amity was really good too though so that was nice!

here is the link to some of the pics from the Perth girls' night out last night... (dont mind my gummy smile!) http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=96074

Hi Girls,

LT - Yep Dp did look after bubs on my mum's birthday, came home to him passed out on the couch LOL. Apparently bubs gave him a hard time from the moment i left :devil6: - Good Boy! ROFL!

Elmo - Love the pics! Looks like you all had a good night.

Shezi - awesome that your Dp took the puppy to the vet, poor little thing.. :fingerscrossed: they find the owner/owner finds him/her.

Gin it would be fun to meet up .

I too bath Antonio in the big bath now, he loves it, floating away, i just rest his head on my arm, with my hand under his arm. Just deep enough to let him float, but not deep enough to put his head under enough to you know. (Don't want to say the D word.. too paranoid lol)

I measured him tonight and he is now appx 64cm's.

His next weigh in is on the 8th so im guessing around 7ish kg as he was 6.06 at the 8 week check.

He wasn't happy with me today, as i got some Nyal saline nasal drops and aspirator.. fun times LOL talk about tricky, when bubs is flinging his head all over the place, im trying to hold it gently still. Got there in the end tho, no more clogged nose.

Oh and he is really starting to hold his head up now, when he is sitting on my lap or shoulder he loves to do it now. Oh and heaps and heaps of smiles and giggles too- proud mummy!

Not much else to report, mum is coming over tomorrow. So i might head of to la la land..

Good Night all

ETA: Forgot to mention that Aunt Flow is back today... grrrr! I was wondering just yesterday when she would be back and bugger me she appears. Ah well 3 months not so bad. Dp goes ahhh that explains your moods last few days.. Oooops!

LL~ hope Harper's gone to sleep now for you hun,
iris has just woken after another 12 hour marathon, love love love her!
Its hard though when they are sick, I hate that noise they make when their nose is so blocked and they are trying really hard to feed!
The pic of O and the lion is def. a treassured item now, O wanted to keep it by his bed last night lol very cute!

Hollie~ There are no words hun to describe how amazing you look @8mths preggie! Be proud hun
Im sure Monty will be when he goes to kindy with that pic and tells everybody he was climbing walls before he was born....and its all his mothers fault hahahaha:laughing:

Sheree~ ok ok Im a pramaholic! no seriously I really like the P&T for two kids BUT I would LOVE to get a pram where bubs faces me, shes so lil forv such a short time and I keep thinking she'll be my last so want to cherish every lil smile etc etc
AND ive loved having ehr face me in the maxi pram and now that I have to sell it coz I dont feel its safe enough im very:gloomy:
Am secretly going to TRU today to see if i can grab a bargain on a reversible stroller

sarah i forgot to ask.. but why are you after a single pram? i thought the p&t was just as good for one bub? just curious & being nosey hehe.
Tell her thats a wise move.....long distance r'ships never work out;)

Lana~ you look gorgeous in that pic! Im so glad you had a good time, jazzaK looks like shes had one too many cups of coffee hahaha
Looks like a great turn out!

Re: the bfing/weaning etc.......have you though about investing in an electric breast pump- they are awesome so quick and easy,
I would get one but atm theres no need I love being with my girl 24/7 a nice change from when I had O, he was suffocating as a baby (not a nice thing for me to say but unfortunately it was true or at least thats how i felt:o )
Im pretty sure it wont increase your milk supply now that his around 3mths your milk supply would have settled by now.

awww almost forgot....well done Griff our first rolling bub! iris is still in rocking back and forth mode lol she looks very cute though!

I tried feeding while laying down this morning, in bed coz it was so cold....how do you do it? seriously it is so uncomfy and the latching isnt right argh! too awkward, so I ended up getting up and feeding while sitting...sorry iris mummy is unco hahahaha
maybe you can give me tips Sheree since you've got the whole walking and feeding thing down pat???? hahahaha

Hi Girls,

Super quick as madam only sleeps 1 hr in the morning and has just gone down and I have 2 days of housework to catch up on because DH seems incapable of putting things away after hes used them.

Nothing much to report. Leah has a cold and I have a sore throat. So now DH and DS are on the mend after 2 weeks of illness, we are getting it. At least its not been at the same time I guess, that would have been hell.

Leah is becoming impossible at night. Waking every 2 hrs still. She vomited all over me the night before last at 1.30am so that was just super and then last night she was just unsettled all night but I guess if she has a cold that may explain it.

Anyway, I'll come back to catch up on the goss later. I have about 8 pages to read.

Hope everyone is well. back soon.

i've tried unblocking his nose again but most of the snots are higher up in his nose, poor little monkey. he's laying on my lap all snuffly now, tried to have a feed but not too good.

RTCsmum, we had to wait a while (40 min) then I had to go next door and fill the script for the rotavirus vax then wait for her again. Talk about hassel.

Carrie, great to hear your gran is doing better.

Gin, Great clip of Kes!
Congrats re the plumbing! Id have NO clue where to start.
I dont put ears under water. Was told babies ear canals are different shapes to ours at present and it casues infection. Not sure how true. Still using baby bath while DS has his bath.

Sarah, I feel for you hon. I love my mum too but I cant tollerate her a week under the same roof.

LL, personally, I agree wtih LT, Id express and leave Harper with DH. As you said, who knows how long you would be so at least Harper would be at home in a baby friendly environment. Thats just me though. I have to get used to the idea of leaving leah as i have my first birth in less than a month.

Im quite suprised you cant do your statement at some other time and place that is child friendly. Not good.

Shezi, that sucks about the dog getting hit and I sympathise with the extra work with the dog. Not a big dog fan myself so resent the work ours costs me.
Wow shezi, I thought i was quick already booking for a September birthday. LOL. Sounds great!

LT, The carrier looks great. toadlet looks so happy.
Good lord woman! if i looked half as fit as you at 8 mths pg id be stoaked!

Lana, congrats on the rolling. leah did a roll the other day but it was an accident.

R&Ms mum, you poor thing! i thought i was sleep deprived. leah is constantly pooing. shes still very watery. must get her checked at the echc this week.

You girls and choc. Im going to be the size of a house soon. I am discovering i am an emotional eater:o

LL hope you get more sleep. invest in a vaporiser, its well worth it! leah has a cold too and her sleep today has been sh*t. not looking forward to tonight but then no sleep isnt s new thing for me. lol.

Think Im all caught up now. Managed to express 100ml and feed in the time that took.

I can do any day time or place. Sarah is your mums house near a train station?

If we do it at my place, DP is on holiday for the next two weeks, so the two weeks after that is fine.

Hello!

Caithi - Hope Anais' christening went well today! And the in-laws were ok :devil6:

Yes Sharon I agree about the best behaved bubs!

Emma I dropped past yours around 12.30 today & picked up camera. Thanks! Damn prg brain! LOL. There is a pic of Ella & Matthew holding hands on it! I'm not at home tho so i will have to upoad another day.

Prams - I liked your P&T pram Sharon! Ella wants to sit up in hers now & I tried it but the straps are way too big so it doesn't work. Also when i put her on tummy i have back of pram lifted up to see her but if i want to take it off it is joined to the hood so that has to come off with it which i don't wanna do. I def don't wanna get a twin pram for next bub cos my pram sometimes doesn't fit through doorways as it is.

Baths - Hollie, E was having deep relaxation baths like that every night when she was in baby bath. Now I put her in big bath & she lays on a towel like Matthew with water coming up just under her ears & she kicks & splashes & loves it! She plays with her toys & I have a washer on her tum to keep her warm, top up with hot water if goes cold & just keep 'showering' her also with a cup or washer which she luvs to watch.

Hollie you look fab in those pics!

So are you Brisbanites up for a South Bank meet? I am going there this Friday too to meet a girlfriend & her 2 kids who are 3 yrs old and 7 months old.

Next week i have a bit of a life cos I have NPG on Tues (the nurse running the group called me the other day to apologise!) then southbank on Friday. Prob shopping on thurs too. I luv parcel pick-up!

What are you up to today everyone? DH went fishing early this morning (yay he did E's 3.30 feed!) & caught 2 big snapper so we are having them when dad gets home from work as an early tea then heading to the hospital again.

Hope all the bubs with snuffles & colds feel better soon :hugs:

Have a beautiful Sunday everyone!

thinking of getting the girls a cubby house for christmas & then just a few little things each. they have so much already im running out of ideas! still hunting for a pink laptop for M tho.
omg and would you believe my brother might be going off travelling.. not impressed about that. he's the family cake maker!!(and i'll miss him ofcourse hehe)

Lol thanks re the photo! I already have a manual breast pump that never got used when i had Amity so i will just use that.. No point buying one when im not sure how long it will last.

Re feeding laying down, i found it a bit uncomfy and tricky at first but i just kept at it. I now lay Griffs head in my arm and have him right up close to me but on a slight angle (so his legs are closer than his head) and i make sure his mouth is just below my nipple then i leave him to latch on by himself. I also use my legs to steady myself and get into a comfy position.

i've tried unblocking his nose again but most of the snots are higher up in his nose, poor little monkey. he's laying on my lap all snuffly now, tried to have a feed but not too good.

feeding laying down - i've nearly got it, he dribbles everywhere there, sheets in the wash now!

LL - did you make sure you waited for the 2 mins first to let the saline drops soften the snot and bring it down the nasal canal?? I lay griff on my knees when i put the drops in then hold his head just off my knees and tilted back a little bit for at least 1 min.

Griff used to be a really messy feeding when laying down so i would just lay his burpy towel underneath him, that way i didnt have to wash the sheets everyday!

Griff slept really well for me last night. Im so glad he is back to his old sleeping habits... That cold really knocked him for six though.

All you girls having your meets, sounds fun lol! Us perthies need to try and organise another one.. even if there are only 3 or 4 of us!

Sheree - love it!! Dont ya just love the looks your kids give you sometimes!!

sarah sorry forgot to reply re feeding while lying down & walking
laying down is more awkward coz you dont want to block bubs nose.. while lying on my side i have to sorta push out my chest and lean on an angle backwards.. geez i hope this is making sense haha. as for walking.. i find it very easy. just one arm under bub.. latch her on and walk  my kids have never fed for long tho.. dont think i'd go well walking about feeding for a half hour!

Evening All

Had a good day. Dh worked this morning for a few hours with our church, doing odd jobs for the elderly (some sort of government run programme). Anyway I woke up about 7am with a headache and as I was suppose to meet Dh down at the park with a picnic lunch at lunch time, with Cooper and his Foster Mum, I decided not go as I wasn't feeling well. But then I fell asleep and woke up at 9am with the headache gone so I decided to still go. So Foster MIL pick Cooper and I up at 11:00 and when we arrived at the park a few other people from out church were already there. So we set up and about 15 mins later Dh arrived. Everyone had there own picnic lunch. Luckly the weather stayed fine for a few hours.

Anyway Dh had to go do a few other things so Coop and I went back to Foster Mil's place for the afternoon. Dh picked us up at about 6pm and we headed home. So we put the bins out, had dinner, fed Cooper and put him to bed now here.
Quite buggered LOL.

Anyway here's some photos from today.

well girls.. great night over here. well it was. mum rang at about 8.30 and we were talking and she was like 'i cant believe chris bought that tool box' i was like 'what tool box' surprise surprise im in the dark again.
well supposedly he has bought a tool box worth over $2000, its huge.(seen it but didnt make a connection it was new or anything coz shed is always locked and i dont bother going in there) anyway he was already in bed so i got off the phone and went and asked him what the heck was going on.. he said "it was only $1700 or something" and that he was using the money from his salary sacrifice thingy.. $50 a week or something and paying it that way. doesnt sound right to me. he said theres no difference.. we're not losing any money.. what does it matter.. couldnt be bothered arguing so anyway i had a shower and came out.
rang mum back coz i was looking up prices for airfares for my brother on the net. ofcourse conversation swayed and i wasnt impressed.. he then came out the bedroom(i assumed he was listening.. its quiet here at night) yelled 'why dont yous worry about your own f**king lives' slammed the door and went back to bed. i ofcourse yelled back "this is MY life".
i just feel like im getting dragged into his debt. he doesnt need a flippin $2000+ toolbox. he doesnt even need his own tools. work supplies the lot. he's not a mechanic or anything.. i just dont get this.
he knows he's being made to have his damn RDO's off so we're losing $400 a month on that alone.. i refuse to not pay bills by their due date coz i am not having our power cut or falling behind in rent.. but yet he will still spend whatever he likes and i just have to deal with it and budget the weekly food shop or whatever else to accomodate him.
its selfish. he's selfish. he said to me a few weeks ago "i get nothing(out of his weekly pay) so the least i should have is food" i was fuming.. the reason he should get nothing is due to the fact we spend $310 a week on his loan repayments.(reason i said 'should' is coz he spends any money he wants.. he was playing golf every weekend.. $50 there alone..) not to mention car insurance & his damn lunch money($140 a week is just being a pr!ck). thing is what do i get?! nothing!! he thinks i have it easy. just do what i want. spend my week doing nothing.. take the kids swimming & thats it.
i just want to be involved.. only reason i find anything out is coz my brother got him his job so they work together. its like im not worth knowing.. in his eyes anyway.

ok this was huge.. sorry girls:o

 @ Your Dp, and :hugs::hugs: x 50 for you Shez, man they can be pr!cks sometimes can't they.

I totally can understand your frustration when it comes to money, my Dp is similar.. thank god it is me who handles the finances! I have to agree who the hell spends 2k on a tool box? Even if they do use em. WTF? Are they made out of gold?

Maybe you will have to be cruel to be kind Shez and not accomodate him.. give him a bit of wake up call if you know what i mean. Why should you and the girls suffer for food etc when he is being silly with money? :devil6:

P.S $140 per week for lunch? OUCH!

i would if i could hey. thing is $260 is a direct debit for 2 of his loans and it comes out fridays.. but he gets paid tuesday so the money has to stay put. he doesnt care tho and overdraws his account if he wants more. a $30 fee is becoming a weekly avent. :banghead:

i feel stupid even whinging to be honest coz seriously he doesnt care. nothing will change & we'll just plod along till he does something even stupider.. probably next week.:(

Emma and Nic love the pics of the kids! Cooper is so adorable! Love his ready for bed pic, although he looks pretty awake lol! Madi is soo beautiful! She sure looks like she is happy and doing really well now!

Sheree - :hugs: babe! I can relate with you on this one. An ex of mine was like that! It can get very frustrating when it feels like you are just talking to a brickwall hey! I agree with AD though, maybe rather than making sure that he has the things he wants in the food shop leave them out on purpose so that hopefully he will realise he cant have it all. It sort of sounds as though he knows you will be there to fix things even when he does stuff up a bit. (oh and $2k on a tool box!? I hope its full of diamonds!)

ETA: Re the lunches, i always make a bit extra of whatever we are having for dinner and give Sam the left overs for lunch.. It is certainly a much cheaper option than buying it everyday and if he complains about it, ask why its good enough for dinner but not for lunch!

Oh Shezi I don't know what to say. I would be mighty po'd. I asked Dh if he would buy a tool box worth $2000 and he said, 'Depends what's in it'. I think someone needs to give him a good kick up the backside lol.

Love his ready for bed pic, although he looks pretty awake lol!
Haha yes the little bugger was wide awake

Sheree~ Firstly did you watch the Submissive wife last night on 60 mins? you would have appreciated Chris if you had LOL would have been a nice laugh anyway!

Ok my dh has no idea about $, he was just never taught how ot budget, how to plan ahead how to pay bills on time I know I know to me and probably all of you its just common sense
BUT its not to some people and my dh is one of them
I handle the $ BUT its been a long hard struggle ot get it that way
DH like most men dont like ot be told what to do, he hated me controlling HIS money before we had kids BUT his finally gotten the concept now thankfully

Its takes time BUT chris will either come around OR just hand over the financial side to you:fingerscrossed:
A is beautiful btw in her pics!

Cooper looks so happy!

Orlando can dress himself:smiliedance:
I bought him some spiderman stuff, shirt, shoes and a hat and the first thing he did this morning was dress himself!
My lil guy is growing up, im so proud of him!
He even did his shoes by himself:yelclap:

I also got these fabulous army pants yesterday they have zip off legs so he can use them in winter and summer, plus the side is adjustable they'll last him at least three seasons hopefully!
AND they were only $17 from BIGW

gotta go iris is regurgitating....blah

:hugs: Shezi, what an ***!!

Yeah I agree with Lana on the lunch idea. That is what we do for my DH too. He packs his own lunch each night! He could be using that money and paying extra off his loan to get it down.

My DH is a fitter by trade and has a good toolbox at work but he had that before we were got together and anyway he needed one for home - he was happy with a $99 one from Bunnings and he is a Fitter and has lots of tools etc. Sorry but Chris is being very selfish. He should try putting his family first instead of buying things that he can go without! Make a stand and dont back down - well that is what I would do! he he I'm stubborn though :D

OK well we ahve had the busiest 4 days getting the house ready to sell and half packing everything. Tiles and carpets get done tomoz. I'm going to miss this house  Real estate coming this morning - cant wait to find out how much its worth!

Anyway I havent read any off the posts and I dont think I will have time too. I did catch that Griff rolled - well done Griff!! Jacey we be a long way off I think. She loves her back too much and doesnt like tummy time! Logan was rolling at 11 weeks- they are so different to each other. Logan is still teething so was up every 4 hrs last night when panadol wore off!! Surely one of the 4 teeth had to have cut through last night.

OK Jacey just woken so better go. Take care and hopefully I can get on a bit more.

PS tell me if anything majorhas happened the last few days!

Sheree - I am sure Chris will wake up to himself soon. $2000 !!! WOW!! I make dh lunch most days as well due to the cost of buying it everyday just works out to be so expensive. Will he not take a packed lunch?

LL - sorry to hear of your lack of sleep. Hopefully you will get 7 hours at least tonight.

Sarah - you are a pram addict LOL!! Is the maxi that tippy?

Caithi - I hope the Christening went well yesterday, you had a beautiful sunny day for it.

Tazzy - I hate packing and cleaning the house for inspections, I hope it sells quickly for you.

Well done Orlando on dressing himself!!

Well done Griffin on rolling!!

Emma - Cooper is very cute

Oh oh now I know I can download video on photobucket you guys are in trouble. I love the video setting on my camera and have heaps of video of the girls. I thought I would download the most recent from Tilly who is "fish kissing" at the moment, very cute!!

i forgot.. check out the baby blues on cooper in the last pic. he's gorgeous!!

re lunches.. i was making his lunch every day since we moved in together. he'd have left overs or 2 sandwiches, 2packets of chips, 2 muesli bars, 2 yoghurts & biscuits or whatever else we had. and you know what.. he whinged! constantly! its not enough.. im still hungry.. then he'd still spend $10 a day on redbull. anyway just before i had A i got p!ssed off and told him to make his own(i'd still buy all the stuff just wanted him to pack his lunchbox himself) he said "no. if you wont do it i'll buy my lunch." and thats where we are now.

he even tried waking us all up this morning on his way to work. thankfully it didnt work seeing tho it was only 5am! i didnt sleep well anyway last night coz i was still fuming about everything..

sarah  yeah i saw a bit of the submissive wives part.. and i was very vocal about how flippin ridiculous it was. especially with them having kids.. way to show your daughters how to be treated  i think if chris could get away with what those men were he'd be all for it. thankfully im not that stupid.

ok, first things first - Sherree, i agree your DP is being really selfish. maybe if he NEEDED the tools, then paying it off weekly is ok but if he doesnt need them, that is really unfair! he needs to realise his first priority is his family, NOT himself!!

perthies still up for a meet? i can do thursdays now too coz the girls arent swimming till i put them in lessons somewhere.
i'm keen! suggest some dates... Al finishes work tomorrow so i don't have to work around his roster. we are hoping to go to Rotto next week but only for one night (my DH and my brother want to go diving for crayfish before the season ends YUMMMMMMMY!)

anyway i was wondering from the cloth mummies what i should put inside the nappies.. or do i just leave it as is and change them every time she wees? i have 4 small ones with velcro & 4 one size fits all ones with press studs. she still fits the small easily.. they just look so cute :D

very cute! hey, you can put them on her tomorrow for world environment day :)
do you know what they are made of? i think they can probably hold a couple of wees (depends if she's a massive wee-er like Harper lol) but they made need a cover? if the outer layer is PUL, wool or fleece it should be water resistant but if not you will need to put a cover over them or you'll get leaking.
heaps of info, including recommended way to wash them, is HERE (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=288)

LOVE the vid of tilly doing kisses, so sweet. i must charge our video camera (you'd think we'd use it more with a baby... slack!). i will put it on the charger right now...

Harps slept quite well last night, i went and got baby vicks yesterday and he finally had a good feed so it must have cleared him up. poor little guy. when he got up for his 2am feed, i kept him in bed with me (closed the door on the cats). it was lovely, he is so snuggly - his new nickname is Snugglepot :D and he woke up a couple of times but went back to sleep with cuddles. he had a feed around 5 then slept again til nearly 9! so this mummy feels 100% better today. i was so tired yesterday and had a headache and sore throat so i think H must have had the same.

ok this post has taken me about an hour to write coz i was putting him to bed.

oh, thats right... congrats Griffin on the rolling over! Harper isnt keen on tummy time at all, just grizzles and face plants!

Hey!

Yeah the submissive wives bit. I just kept chuckling to myself. DH looked worried - he saw the conversation brewing and got in first. Set hte feminist movement back 100+ years. I agree with teh whole waht are they teaching their kids? Their sons will nto respect women a nd their daughters will not be independant women in their own right.

Beautiful photos / videos. Such gorgous babies. Really looking like babies now and not newborns. Where does the time go?

Leahs still got a cold. Sniffling and snuffling all night.

Looking at a new daycare this afternoon. Not entirely happy with where Sam is now and this one though fuerther away sounds great.

Nothing to report here.

Hey Ladies!

Lana, congrats on Griff rolling, that's fantastic to hear, go buddy!

Shezi, wow that's alot of money for a tool box! We do the same as Lana with the lunches, make more at night for lunch the next day. Hope things get better!

Carrie all Brissy Mums, Southbank or the p&b expo are both ok with me, we are happy to do either.

Anna, hope Leah is feeling better soon!

LL, glad you got a great night sleep and Harper and a good sleep too. They are so cute when they snuggle in bed.

NM, great news about O dressing himself, I am sure it will make a huge difference now.

Caithi, I hope Nai Nai's christening went well yesterday, I am sure you had a beautiful day!

Hope everyone is doing well

Hello :)

Shez hun your dp is being a dh! $2k on a damn tool box? I agree with Lana - it better have diamonds in it! LOL. I can totally understand the situation & sending hugs your way ooooooo.

David doesn't take lunch - he'll take cereal for his break around 9am but doesn't really get a lunch break anyway but then when i ask where his money is he got out when he is paid (cos he leaves so early he gets out what he wants before i can do anything about it) & he says sometimes he had to pay the lunch man back! He gets up me for spending money and even used to tell me to stop buying lunch but when it was just the 2 of us it was cheaper than doing a big shop like now I am at home but he still 'ticks up' lunch!

I guess we have to be greatful we have no loans or anything atm. I have to admit dh is just lazy though ... he was meant to do a jury duty form & made me complete it! I'd said i wouldn't but then one day i was bored & just did it. However he hasn't sent it back yet cos there was some info on it i couldn't complete but it was my fault! Grr ...

Shezi hun you got me going again! I should move to perth & when our dp/dh's p!$$ us off we can go to each other's place & they can go & be dh's together. Haha ...

Lana - Congratulations Griff on rolling! E still doesn't enjoy floor time :(

Tazzy - Good luck with the move!

Sharon & Gemma - I can't watch videos as we don't have broadband. So disappointed!

Nic - Those pics of Madi are beautiful! Luv the outfit!

Shezi - A doesn't look too happy in the JJ!

Who else?

Atm e is asleep in the bassinette next to me & the dummy is half hanging out her mouth just stuck to the outside of her lips! It looks hilarious! I'd take a pic but it is in our car & dh has it.

Got letter today for antinatal class reunion for 23 June. Can't wait!

Ok have a good day everyone! xoxo

Hi March Mummies,
Hope you all had a good weekend.

I read through the 15 pages or so posts, but can't remember much now, so sorry if I missed anyone.

Gorgeous baby pics & cute moments - love them love them love them! The March babies look so grown-up now don't they. I can't believe B is going to be 3m old in 3 days time!

Lana - Griffin is such a smart boy to be able to roll now.

NM - I hope Iris is feeling much better now.
It must be hard back living with your mom again, especially with family. Hope you find a new place soon. BtW, you're so naughty keep sending these nice shopping sites...you'll make me spend so much $ :shame:

Sherree - sorry to hear about the tools. He may regret it soon when the novelty wears off.

Re. family photo, sadly the only one we has is not very clear, but I'll upload it as soon as I work out how to use the photobucket. We're not a big picture people, even our digital camera was a gift from my folks when B is born! I do make a concious effort to take lots of picture of him now though. I'll upload pic of myself & B, DH & B which are much clearer.

RTCs Mum - the new business sounds very promising with orders lining up already.

Carrie - I haven't bathed B in the big tub, but may have to do it in near time cause his small bath is getting to small for him now. The nurse in the hospital said that deep warm bath helps with bub sleep, so the lucky boy has a one every night.

Gin - well done with the plumbing!
Just realised you live in Melbourne. We lived there for >5y before moving to Sydney 1.5 years ago and absolutely loved it. Melbourne is such a cool city. I still missing the long room.

LT - Monty looks like he's really enjoying the backpack. I've been thinking of getting a backpack too as B is almost getting too heavy for me to carry in baby bjorn, especially with heels I feel like I almost tip forward (I love my heels as I'm only 5' zip). Is it hard to get bub in & out of backpack?

I'm so amazed that you could do rock climbing when you're 8m pregnant!

Caithi - hope you're doing ok.

LL - sorry to hear about H blocked nose. Have you tried using the humidifier (thanks for the tips R&M Mum). It works very well with B  I also seconded Lana on the nose drip, it helps a lot clearing the mucus. But B hates the aspirator, so we don't use it much.

Sydney girls - sorry we missed the expo. Did you have a good time? Look forward to the next meeting.

Thanks for all the get-wells girls, B is feeling much better now :yelclap: He still a bit snotty but is feeding and sleeping better now.

Ooops forgot to mention last night.. Congrats Griffin on your rolling! :yelclap:.

Shez hope things are bit more settled today for you :hugs:.

Anyone else's little ones chattering away? Antonio is just full of funny sounds lately very cute indeed! Just now he is doing his ooo ahhhs, and cute squeals hehe. Is this what they call babbling? or is that when they are older? His poo has gone back to normal too, still soft but thats normal for him, not watery anymore. Must have been a bad batch of formula, as it seemed to clear up on a new tin .

He'll be 3mths on Friday ... where has the time gone?

Anyhoo off to do some more laundry and the dishes - yay how exciting! LOL

This written yeserday, LOL:
Re the video: I imported it in to Flash, that's why it's kind of poor quality, as it automatically squishes it (went from 17MB to 3MB). Sharon, I think it's different in shape to your camera, but you get the same quality if that makes sense!?!

LL-sorry to hear about the rough night, poor little munchkin must be very uncomfortable! Have you tried squirting milk up his nose while feeding him? Works for Kes.

Today:
hello all! Sorry for the absence, we're a pair of sickies here at the moment. After seeing DH off this morning I went back to bed with Kes and we stayed there till midday, very nice. Great to know that Photobucket have a video option too, now we can see more action from teh little ones I hope!
Anna-I see now a bit more why the night wakings tire you out so much! (you were saying you don't feed her lying there as you feel you might suffocate the poor dear), not easy for you!

Sarah-for feeding lying down I help him latch on by 'shaping' myself the way the middies did in hospital, that way his nose is clear and he doesn't need to wake to concentrate on staying attached.

Kes has been having more plasticine like poo, but then had a big one that was like yellow water, not nice... it seemed to burn him horrible, though it was only on him for a very short time (as long as it took to carry him to the bed and whip the nappy off), any ideas why it could be like that?

Love that video of Tilly kissing, that is so cute how she says "bye" then looks confused as she realises you are wanting her to do something!

Matthew looks super cute in his jumper! Nice strong legs there.

Shez- I feel for you matey, that must be so frustrating for you. I wonder if it's his way of getting out his frustration at the responsibilities of being a partner and Dad? I know DH sometimes got/gets overwhelmed by the fact that we are relying on him for not only food, but bills and the house too!
Mine doesn't blow money on tools though... just on computers and gadgets! :o
I have found it helps to get a bit involved in the stuff he likes, and accept that he'll blow a bit of money now and then, but not make him feel bad for the smaller stuff.. That way he doesn't hide them from me or feel guilty, so feels less like splurging on the big stuff. I don't know if that made sense, or if I just come across like one of those wives from ACA that you guys are talking about  ;)

Frangi-hope you're doing well, and just haven't had time to post!
You too Firsttime and firstbubonway, hope you and your bundles of love are keeping well

Thanks! The reason she is saying bye is that she was off to bed for her sleep. I usually say are you ready to go to bed and she kisses everyone then says bye and off she goes. She is looking confused because I am getting her to kiss again. LOL!!!

BG - not sure about the pooing, sometimes if they arent well they do funny things down there.

Sarah - will scan in the instructions from the womans weekly cake cook book for the spider cake and pm them to you. Its really easy!

A - hope the new daycare was good!

LL - love the new nickname.

Well we have had a lovely day with a few friends from mothers group over for an impromptu get together. So a crowd of kids descended on the house and went mad with toys from the back balcony to the front room!! The other mothers and I sat on the back balcony drank coffee and let them all go for about 3 hours. They are all so cute and now with brothers and sister etc now all part of the gang they just have a ball. It took Ruby Tilly and I about 30 min just to pack all the toys, lego, crayons etc back into there right places! The birds went mad for the all the biscuit and sandwich crumbs out the back this afternoon which was so exciting for Tilly. She just kept saying "birdie, birdie!" Great Day !

Hello!

ELLA BLEW RASBERRIES!!! Cheeky monkey! I'd been blowing them all day as she thought it was the funniest thing in the world & she was kinda making the noise in the back of her throat with spit bubbles etc & trying to do it then this afternoon she did 3 in a row at me! So cute!

Off to parents' group tomoz. Hope i make it on time & that it's worth going to ...

Wish i could watch videos ...

Gin I hope you & kes are better :) Did you have a c/s Gin?

If so, were you breastfeeding lying down in hospital too? I found it easier personally than sitting as I could hold my boob out of her face. I had to have a towel under my boob when sitting cos too heavy for Ella. Damn big boobies! Lol.

Ok better go now ...

Sarah & Shez u are making me a pram a holic too! Shez where's this post about a strider pram? Yes, i am looking into options for bubs #2 already (even though not allowed to have it yet!) as even though i have a toddler seat i found it too hard with a 8 month old boy in it (Mason) and it barely steered. And def don't want a twin pram.

AD, good to hear that Antonio's poo is back to normal. B is also chattering a lot now. His favourite 'word' at the moment is 'agroooo'. He also loves me saying anything with 'r', so I've been doing lots of 'brrrrrrr', 'grrrrrr' and even 'warf'...

Carrie, B also likes blowing raspberies, and he likes it even more when I response the same way.

Tummy time - have you try putting E in your lap for tummy-time? At first B only likes doing tummy-time in our laps, but now he likes it on the mat as well.

Gin, hope you & Kes feel better soon. Sorry I can't help with the poo question.

Guess what? We're buying an apartment!
We've been talking about it for quite sometimes, but never really done anything serious about it. Then last week I saw an apt for sale 5 mins walk from where we live and that it'd be open for inspection on Sat. I casually told DH about it at around 11am on Sat and we checked it out in domain.com.au...and it opened for insp at 11am! So DH went to see and then called me saying that I should take a look at it. We made an offer Sat afternoon and today the RE agent told DH that the owner had accepted our offer! We also got quite a good price because the owner needs to sell it (settlement) before end of June to take advantage of the new super law. Guess it's meant to be.

Hello!

ELLA BLEW RASBERRIES!!!

Lol.

Awww, that is so cute! Good on her, little sweetheart that she is :p

Yep I had a c/s, and add to that that I am unco at feeding, LOL, seems a lot of people (99% it seems) can just hold their baby in front of them and it attaches and eats... not us :o
Maybe when he is older!

I've still got a tickle and cough, but feel OK, but worried about my little sparrow (a kestrel seems to grown up for my little boy some times!), he screamed for an hour earlier and wouldn't eat. I did these things to try help:
*nappy off-didn't help
*in to the bath-helped, but screamed the second he was out
*feed-wouldn't eat
*nappy off, in dryer-warmed towel-didn't help
*in to bed in the dark snuggled beside me-still screaming!

At that point DH got home, and Kes was slightly winding down, but still going in to fits.
In the end the only way to calm him was to hold him upright for around half an hour. He still didn't eat till 9pm, so that was around 4.5hours. Now he is in his bouncer with his nappy off, borderline happy/upset. Poor fella, any ideas welcome girls!

Sorry to be so self-obsessed, can't think straight with him like this, got all paranoid earlier that he might have some weird disease making him cry :o

*EDIT:B'sMum-gorgeous photos! That one of him sucking his lips is 100% pure gold, LOL, I can just imagine it poster-sized at his 21st!

RTCMum.. LOVE the video. such cute girls.

Shezi... I make DP's lunches and we both eat really well and don't scrimp on food.. but there is NO WAY we would spend that much on just lunches in a week. Even with smoked salmon and protein drinks.
Maybe make them for him .. got to make a compromise on these things if you want him to cut down on expenses. Worth the extra 15 minutes in the kitchen to save the $.

Clever Griffin on the roll overs.. I dont know if Monty toad can do it as I don't give him much tummy time. He did it at about 2 weeks 3 times, but that may have been fluke.

Caithi.. got any photos oif the Christening? How did she go with her nappy?
I made a huge super nappy of green furry fleece yesterday.. very oscar the grouchish.

Brendans Mummy, the backpack is easy to put on and easy to put the baby in as it sits on the gournd. I bought the sleepy head rest so he doesnt face plant when he nods off. He looks like just a head in the backpack now.

That last photo of Brendan is hilarious!!
You are very pretty too.
Congrats on the apartment.. what suburb? How many bedrooms? Room for expansion?

Ad.. Monty loves to laugh and chat to the telescope.. not sure what his fascination is with large falic looking objects.

Bluegin.. hope Kestrel doesnt do that again.. very distressing when you don't know whats wrong.

Last night Monty was grizzling in bed. he was probably just bored and didn't want to be asleep but it stressed me out... DP went online to check out soundproofing for doors and he's going to buy it!!! Naughty DP. He's already spent $300 on a solid door to block out most of the sound.

Ok... I wasted time today instead of doing work,

carrie dont worry about the strider pram if you're wanting a pram for 2 kiddies. it doesnt have a toddler seat or anything.. its in the product recommendation thread.. in the preg part i think.. might be parenting.. it kinda looks like a bugaboo but nicer (imo)& cheaper.
i love pram shopping hehe.

my brother came over this morning so we took the girls for a walk. nice to get out and about and the girls loved spending time at the park with their uncle pickle(yep thats what they call him!). bugger i shouldve taken pics.
