Hey girls!

Massive headache today. Ouchy. So prone to headaches its rediculous. Need my neck adjusted but no time.

Just cleaned out my pantry and baking and baby cupboard. feeling very proud!

Well things are much better now with Madi,

So as you know Madi is waking still twice a night, is anyone elses bubs still waking at night?

Great to hear!
Yes, I get woken 3hrly on the dot. Last night it was 12am, 3am and then she stretched out to nearly 4 hrs and woke at 6.40am. *yawn*

So am i doing anything wrong?

Seems to me that all your bubs are rolling, sitting, touching there feet etc.

I think im just worried that A is not doing what a lot of your bubs are. Its not like i leave him on his back all day either.

Leahs only just found her hands. Dont think she knows she has feet yet. She only just starting to bat hanging toys (and I mean 'just' she started today). They really do all develop at their own pace so dont fret. A will do things quicker than some babies and slower than others but he will do it all regardless and in his own time.

Annsam, Monty gets really hot so at night i put him in a short sleeve tshirt and light pants with feet and his Thomas dressing gown that i've put snaps on to swaddle him. We dont have heaters or a warm house either. He's more than happy with that.

So is it normal for them not to want their bottle at 3 months?
Usually toadlet is gasping for his bottle bang on 3 hours during the day. Today at 3 hours ten he screamed when we gave him his bottle, stuck him int he JJ for 20 minutes and he scremed again when he gave him the bottle. So we put him in our bed and he had a sleep, then he ate a small amount about 5 hours after his last feed. What's happened to my greedy piggie toadlet??

Sam was like that. The kid could sleep (and still does) in an air conditioned closed room with only a singlet on. He wouldn't wake till it got to like 15 degrees when I forgot to turn it off.

The bottle rejection is usually for breastfed babies who suddenly realise that the bottle isn't where they want to get their food from.
With toadlet, are the teats you are using fast enough flow for him now? or perhaps hes going through a not hungry phase. They do that regularly and seem to need next to nothing for a few days.

:hugs: All, thanks for the reassurance i actually broke down down in a pool of tears very early this morning, i think im just putting myself under too much stress, seeing as DP is a lazy a$$. I'm not depressed or anything just feels like i do friggen everything around here these days while Dp does jack. His excuse "i'll play with him when he is older" or "i cuddle him for an hour or so" or "it's mums who babies need this early on" .. "he doesnt like me" "he doesn't laugh/smile for me" (he does) umm yeah ok buddy :banghead:.

That all sounds very familiar  . It will get better as A gets older. Most blokes are clueless with babies and babies bore them. I give DH a kick up the a$$ and force him to spend time and learn what to do and it seems to work. Hes pretty good now. Had to do the same when Sam was a bub too.

Anyway, both babes are asleep so Im going to try and grab a few minutes myself.

Bl**dy hell, not moving for another week now as settlement has been put back until monday but DH starts his shift again on tuesday so we have to wait until his next 4 dys off. So it will be 25th!! grrh had to ring up and change everything that I had organised for tomoz. At least I can have locks changed/house sprayed/ house cleaned etc all at a nice pace before we move in now! Down side is we are having another open house this sunday so more cleaning and organising which is hard when the house is half packed!!

Well i am having a great day NOT! Dp and i had a huge fight today, he even pushed me . It didn't hurt or anything but still. I guess i knew his temper would get the better of him one day. So we are not talking and he can GGF'd as far as i am concerned.

As for Antonio's once a day **** load of runny poo. Turns out that it is caused by Karicare Gold's new prebiotic sh!T .. apparently when the changed the formula to this type, you are meant to wean them onto it, as there guts cant handle it. So A was on normal KK Gold, then they changed it but not the tin etc so you could barely notice it was a new formula so i kept happily feeding him what i thought was the same. Why couldn't they state in the tin to wean them not just give it to them straight away. :mad:So now i have changed to Nestle NAN as KK can also GGF'd. So hopefully his poo will return to normal now. Fking idiots.

Bless A, he just made me laugh he is in the lounge on his bouncer screaming Oooo's and Ahhhh's at the top of his lungs, at least someone can make me smile.

Sorry for the anger post, had to vent.

:o

hehe taryn AD's post made me giggle too.. mainly that everyone 'could ggf'd' hehe

ok on a more serious note.. AD :hugs: your man has one heck on an apology to make and sooner rather than later! if he ever does that again i'd pack his things and put them on the front lawn and steal his key so he cant get in :devil6:

Antonio sounds as adorable as ever!

ok gotta go just dropped in coz girls have just been bathed and dressed.. now onto dinner  will be back on later to reply properly!

AD sorry to hear your dp is being such an a$$hole! :hugs: he can def GGF
but jokes aside, pushing you is totally not on!!

we went to the clinic for 3mo check today, Harper is 6.34kg and 62cm, weight right on the centre line and height just above. the nurse said how strong he is with his weight-bearing (he loves 'standing up') so i was a very pleased and proud mummy.

i love this age - he is so smiley and doing new things. and i am so much more confident now, with knowing what he needs and being able to predict what he's going to do (sometimes lol), and feeding him and even just carrying him around, taking him places etc. yay for parenting confidence :D haha but you know what i mean.

Ad.. spend more time with your happy cooing Antonio!
You need someone to make you smile.
Give your DP a big kick up the bum.
WHen I told Frog about him thinking he ionly had to play with A when he is older. Frog said "Oooo is that an option?"

Silly Frog.
'He's been extremely helpful today, taking Monty out for walks, feeding, bathing, doing washing and bottles, folding nappies and making my breakfast and hot chocolates all while I do work. .. his subtle way to get me to earn more $.

AD.. if you want I can send Frog over to teach him a lesson.. either in helping out around the house and doing baby stuff... and if that doesn't work, he's got massive muscles to teach him a different kind of lesson.

Annsam. I think you were right about the bottle screaming.. he just wasn't hungry and was pee'd off about having a bottle shoved in his face.

Well done on feeling so confident LL.

Forg and I were wetting our pants laughing at Monty, he really is the biggest dill sometimes. We aren't sure what his obsession is with the telescope, but he can be yelling his head off, turns around to see the telescope and then smiles his head off.

We took this picture (http://www.flickr.com/photos/7918637@N06/546962825/) while he was looking at the telescope, then these (http://www.flickr.com/photos/7918637@N06/546962815/in/photostream/)were the Flash after shock picutres.

And a picture of mummy and toadlet (http://www.flickr.com/photos/7918637@N06/547036116/) that I don't hate.

Having a late night doing some work tonight. Heaps to do!

Dp is still asleep sulking little turd! and yes i re read my post and i agree ROFL. (What a prat i am ha ha).

Love the Pics LT, Monty looks like such a cheeky/happy boy - stunning!

A is getting a lot more like that these days. It's great!

As for Dp seriously he can GGF'd.. if i don't get a big fat apology then i ain't talking to him until he does. :yelclap: Nor will i be cooking dinner, making him coffee etc etc. STUFF HIM!

As of now it's about A and Me he can do what he likes. (i pray A has more of my genes than Dp's LOL!)

Anyhoo someone is crying. Catch ya later. x

Hiya Ladies,

Just a quick one before going for a nap. B has been waking-up 3 times/night in the last couple of nights so DH and I have been a bit flat. We gave him his first dose of Rotarix vaccine on Tuesday, not sure if the waking up is related to this, but whatever it is hope it sorts itself soon.

He's rubbing his ear a bit too, so we went to a GP yesterday just to make sure that he didn't have ear infection. Good to hear that all are ok.

Carrie & NM ~ so sorry to hear about your loss. Please be strong hun :hugs:

AD ~ some MCN can be b****. Mine made similar comments about B when she came to my place on B's 2nd week! Silly me I tried to limit B's feed and ended up making him so miserable. Few weeks later we saw B's paed who said that we could give him up to 180ml per kg body weight. Since then I don't bother weighing B in the MCHC anymore.

Sorry to hear about the fight. He'd better apologise soon.

LT ~ great news about work, that must feel good :yelclap: Love Toadlet's shock pictures.

M2B ~ glad to hear that Madi is on the mend.

BG ~ sorry to hear about the washing machine, it's annoying when those things happen hey?

Anna ~ hope you feel better soon. I occassionally have migranes and completely non-operational on those times.

We had our first family holiday last weekend. DH took Friday & Tuesday off and we stayed 3 nights at Ettalong Beach, just north of Sydney. The weather was not all that flash, but we had a nice time. B was good in the road, busy playing with his new hanging rattle. He's also very curious with the new places and keep looking around.

Development stage ~ B has found his hands and love playing with / staring at them, but he hasn't found his feet nor rolling.

Bumbo seat ~ not sure who asked about this (sorry), we bought one from BG few weeks back and it arrived yesterday. B's loves it but he's still a bit wobbly when sitting in it, so we only place him there 2-3 mins at one time.

Below are some pics of him sitting in Bumbo and staring at himself in the mirror.

Firstly-AD, grrrrr, I hope he is currently thanking his lucky stars you've left him breathing!
My DH is a bit like yours it seems, thinks the bub stuff is my domain (unless I wean him and go back to work, LOL, he promises he'd be the perfect SAHD!)

LT-great photos! I think you've got an astronomer on your hands there, or a peeping Toadlet... ;) LOL

Washing machine still leaking, I'm currently weighing up whether to wash a load of nappies and just let it leak... or run the risk of running out! Hehe, I'll get DH to help me get it out on Saturday, so might just keep washing and leaking till then (after all, wet walls can only get so wet! )

Taryn, sorry to hear about your move being put back, no fair. It will be good getting more stuff organised, but still frustrating I'd imagine.

Anna- hope your head is better by now, everything is harder with a sore head :hugs:

Caithi-LOL, that pram is ridiculous!!! Funny though! How is your little princess doing, all better from her sicky bout?

Sarah-that photo is freaky, no mistaking who her Mum is! I thought they looked just like your DH, but wondering now!

B'sMum- Brendan is such a sweety, I just want to pick him up and hug him! Such a squishy cutey little man :p

Lana-Kes has been enjoying some tummy time lying over the zoo pillow, awesome. He also uses it as an armchair from which to order me about... LOL
I hope Griff takes the bottle happily soon, a rough time for you watching him fight it! :hugs:

I noticed 2 teensy white spots on his bottom front gum earlier, I don't know whether to hope it's thrush or a tooth, hehe, which is worse eh?

Brendans Mummy.. love the pics. It was me asking aobut the bumbo seat. Mine should be waiting for me at the post office I hope.
I got a green one,... surprise.

Bg..
LT-great photos! I think you've got an astronomer on your hands there, or a peeping Toadlet... LOL

Every time I have him over my shoulder, I know he's staring at the telescope when he laughs. Perhaps he thinks THAT is his mummy!!

WHen I told Frog about him thinking he ionly had to play with A when he is older. Frog said "Oooo is that an option?"

 atleast you know he's joking! gotta ask tho when he takes monty out for walks does he carry him in the backpack thingo or take the pram? only asking coz my sisters best friends hubby takes their 2 girls(20months&7months) out for a walk every morning, the oldest on his back and the little one in a babybjorn on the front hehe. looks so cute!

gorgeous pics of monty & brendan!

here's what chris got on his way home from work.. http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p175/Shezi26/girlsSmall.jpg its amazing the lengths a guy will go to when he's deprived  my first q was 'what have you done?' thats bad hey! but no i love my flowers!

here's a recent of aalivyah.. she's in her rockin jitter bug car.. http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p175/Shezi26/girls021Small.jpg
im trying to not buy things so im putting prams and swings and rockers to the back of my mind lol.. not easy! but i know once she's a few more weeks older she will go nuts in the jolley jumper & car and we wont need the extras.. im trying to be good..

BG i feel for ya with the washing machine.. my sis gave us her old dryer when we moved in here.. she bought a new one coz the timer wasnt working on this one.. anyway chris fixed it in like 2minutes.. she wasnt impressed lol. but anyway M swung off the door and its snapped off.. so i have to click these two bits of plastic in to make sure it stays on.. we've been going like this for 6months or so and no probs till today.. the door keeps flying off! thing is i have no other option.. we do have clothes lines but i cant reach them haha. seriously even when i put on my platforms which are 2inches high i still struggle! damn tall people putting up clothes lines!

great stats for harper! and thats great you have the confidence hey! it took me so long to be able to not care what anyone else thinks.. i was always really paranoid about people judging me.. still am at times but now i can be out & about and not care if i have one on my boob, one throwing a tanty & one demanding i buy her everything coz she's a "princess" while she throws things in the pram. while everyone stares!! lol!

going to try to get up early and have everyone organized by 8 coz chris has been made to have his RDO.. which sucks coz if he works them(which he wants to) we'd make another $200. but anyway so he's going to be home tomorrow but M has kindy so i want to walk her there which we havent done yet.. i'd say it would be a half hour walk each way.. finally got around to pumping up the MB tyres tho so pushing that is an absolute breeze again.. M can even sit on the center of the foot plate and you wouldnt know you're pushing an extra 18kg.. think i've fallen in love with my MB all over again lol.

anyone breastfeeding but not wearing maternity bras? im sick of them already but usually i wear the fab padded bras from bras n things so trying to pull them down is a bugger.. any recommendations would be great!

Every time I have him over my shoulder, I know he's staring at the telescope when he laughs. Perhaps he thinks THAT is his mummy!!

 F'ckn hilarious!!! You know, for some reason i thought your telescope was red...

AD - :hugs: re your DP.. Heres hoping he gets his a$$ into gear, and SOON!

LT - Love the pics, Monty looks adorable (and cheeky knowing what he is 'admirig' lol)

Gin - Hope you washing machine gets fixed soon hun, i couldnt live without mine!) And im glad that Kes is loving his Zoo pillow so much!

Sheree - Lucky you getting flowers! Pi$sed myself laughing when i read bout your dryer door flying off!! (sorry) Oh, and with maternity bras, i have been wearing the Bonds bumps ones.. they are slightly padded/moulded and are lower cut and comfy plus they dont have those hideous wide straps! They arent that expensive either! You can get them in Myer.

LL - Harper sounds like he is going great! He is going to be tall like his daddy i think! Its feel great once you have a bit of mummy confidence hey, good on you.

Jenny - Gorgeous pics of B in his Bumbo chair!

Taryn - What a pain in the butt bout having to postpone the move...

Guess what!? I went and bought some of the Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature bottles and Griffin drank 230ml with no fuss!!! He really seemed to like it and he didnt have any wind issues afterwards either! Here's hoping he continues to like them and his new Nestle NAN formula!

Morning......or afternoon. Boy this day is zooming by.

Hows this for night waking:
I go to bed at 9.15pm. Woken at 11pm, 12am, 1am (where she cries for 1.5hrs till I give her a dummy at 2.30am), woken again at 3.30am, Sams wet through at 4.30am, Leah wakes again at 5am then 6.50am. *yawn*. I sure hope this phase passes REAL quick.

Great photos LT, shezi and B's Mum. Really cute bubbas.

Just trying to do my grocery shopping and catch up on some pc stuff that I haven't had time for....... oh lordy, there she goes again.

Be back later.

Hello

Only read a couple of pages cos computer is too slow to read all of them unfortunately.

Sarah i can't believe the price of your sis's ring! I picked mine out & I love it & it was only $350 on sale! My wedding ring was about the same price & our wedding only came to about $6k ... if I had $18k I would buy a new car & go o/s :)

Luv the Dior dummies! I should get it to go with E's Ralph dress & Calvin Klein jumper & shirt lol. Nah too exy (I didn't buy those btw, a friend got them from LA when she went as cheap over there).

LT - You go girl! Your business sounds very successful & it is gr8 that you can work from home & care for the gorgeous Monty Toad as well. I agree with Shez - he's prob peeved cos you're a hot chickie doing better than him! LOL.

On Wed Ella saw her first movie. I went to Shrek 3 as on BIA sesh with 2 other BH mums who live near me. Ella loved the big screen. Afterwards me & one of the girls went across the rd for a $5 pub roast lunch. I felt like sh!t (have the cold now) but had a good day & can't wait to do it again.

Yesterday was g'pa's funeral. Dad (granpa was his father) did a wonderful job at the eulogy (sp?) and made it to the end. He did up a dvd slide with music presentation with 4 parts - first bit at the beginning, one part after dad's eulogy, an ending, another bit somewhere in there. We were smiling & had a chuckle even in some bits of the service, the pastor/priest who conducted it was a friend of my grandparent's and is non-denominational so may go with him for christening/naming day.

We had to laugh tho cos when he was naming my dad & aunty etc and us grandkids he kept calling my brother Steve instead of David! He must've got confused with the 2 David's. Out of all the names tho it is quite appropriate cos my bro & cousin (on mum's side - no cousins on dad's side) used to always call each other Steve and always say "Hello Steve" LOL.

Grandma handled it well, so calm, the family all viewed the body before hand except for me. My bro even touched him! This is from the boy that was too scared to visit me in the maternity ward of the hospital haha.

One of our best family friends is an undertaker and he did a wonderful job & did things like put him in a beautifl redwood coffin for a very cheap price with exy lining for cheap etc & GET THIS - they offered us a dvd of the service! WT?? Our friend chucked it in for free but no one is in a hurry to watch it hey!

My grandparent's dog came, Jemma and she and Ella were both very well behaved. Ella fell asleep during the service to grandpa's song & spent the 'wake' talking & smiling at anyone who would listen/watch her!

The service was nice & the only part where I actuall started crying was the end when the curtains were closed.

SO can anyone update me from about page 5 onwards? Lol. My computer sucks as way too slow :(

Hope everyone has a gr8 day :) xoxo

What an annoyance with the dryer door! My machine still broken, grrrr, will try to get DH to help me with it tomorrow.
As for bras, I wear the Triumph ones that look like crop tops. I saw them on the rack and thought :barf:, but in fact they look fantastic on me, whereas the other brands (haven't tried Bonds, I think they'd be good too, no pointy front) looked rubbish. Super comfy too, I often sleep in them.

Lana-great news about the bottle!

LL-sorry, missed that post before, it sounds like you and Harper are going really well, great to hear how comfy you are with him. I too love going out with Kes, but still a bit shaky on the feeding!

afternoon

I decided to cook for a change lol, yep I don't cook much and I found out why...I made patties and a lot of them fell apart lol. I made Pumpkin soup for DH and that turn out pretty good. While I was cooking I thought I might go and check on Coop as he had been asleep, so I walk in and looked in his bassinett and he had the corner of the blanket over his entire face . He was wriggling and when I quickly moved it he was laughing. But it freakwed me out.

Carrie glad the Funeral went well. I agree with BG I wouldn't be in ahurry to watch the DVD.
Also it's good Ella moved the movies.

BG I love the rainforest mat.

Sarah i forgot to tell u that on tues i bought E the cutest shoes & i thought of you lol! I bought her white satin mj's and also some soft mj's in a bright pink with blue stitching, the strap is elastic. I'll get some pics for you. My photobucket is playing up so will get MtM to upload for me. I also got her some nice clothes from Baby Booty & Trade Secret. OMG she has too many clothes!!!

Gin this is the swing I have on lay buy for Ella:

http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=112001&e=detail&site=au&pid=35048&selcat=bgsw

I luv that play mat you posted! I'd better put some money on her lay buy ...

Had to ring & update "Bogan Link" the other day. First dude stuffed it up cos I upped dave's income (cos he's been working overtime) & then explained i will be earning $0 next fin yr so just dave's wage & the amount he gave me is $30 less than what i get now ... realised 15 mins later (e was screaming so didn't really take it in) & called back. This guy was so lovely & fixed it and now i will get $360 per fortnight as i will be getting all of Part A plus a bit of Part B plus rent assistance :) Yay that sounds more like it.

Just made E a bottle but she's fallen asleep ... again. She must be tired today as had heaps of little naps! And she pretty much slept thru - woke at 3am (finally back to normal after cold f**king it up lol), dummy, slept til 4, dummy, slept til 5am. Well thought she was still asleep at 5 then DH went in before work & she was staring at him! Then started wining but not crying ... like "daaadddyyy ... daaaaddyyy" so I gave her a bottle.

Jaimie wherea re you?

Sarah.. Yes, selling the P&T.. very tempted to get an EMmuljunga, I already have a classic version, wouldnt mind the Cerox 360. Naughty me.. I've caught Shezi's pram addiction.!
Luckily I dont have to ask DP for the $ or he'd have kittens. (or tadpoles)

Sad you ahd DP are having issues. I'm very lucky that Frog doesnt let me get cross with him. Any way you kow yo can make up? or is he too hard to forgive .

I took my keyboard back yesterday cause the N key wasn't working, now it's the U key that is having issues, this is now the 5th keyboard in a row that has stuffed up for me.. I just can't get one that works 100%!!!!

Better get back to woerk before Frog gets back from the gym.... I have already finished another tub of So Good Bliss that he bought for me last night.

Back.

Sorry to hear you are having issues Sarah. Will PM you some stuff.

Sooooo tired. Is anyone suffering from a major sleep debt? Kicking myself badly, Leah is having a great sleep, I tried to sleep myself and cant. You know how you just get to the point where you are so tired you cant stop your brain to sleep? Its madness. Gave up. Back doing my groceries now. Please someone tell me this hourly waking in the night will pass soon. Sam never did it. He was sleeping through at 7 weeks so Leah is a shock to the system.

Carrie, so glad to hear the funeral went well. :hugs:

ANNSAM.. NAUGHTY LEAH! How inconsiderate of her.

Ok.. not sure which pram to get.

I have an Emmlunga classic pram which I love, but its hard to manuevre. (Also heavy).

Im very tempted to get either one if these

City Jet (http://www.nurseryworld.com.au/shopping/prams/reversible/emmaljunga-city-jet.html?Itemid=6) or City Cerox (http://www.nurseryworld.com.au/shopping/prams/reversible/cerox-city-360.html?Itemid=6), but not sure which.

Cant belive i just typed that but thats raw honesty for you:gloomy:
i feel the same sometimes, that i love him but some days i really don't like him. he can just be so *** lazy and sometimes i honestly would love to punch him! nasty mummy...
hope he steps up and changes his attitude soon :hugs:

Carrie - at my nan's funeral, some guy from england (nan's nephews kid or something? none of us knew him) videoed the ceremony etc. i thought it was such poor form, i was crying and looked up to see this scruffy stranger filming! who wants to watch a funeral video? i dont understand that???
anyway, i'm glad your grandpa's went as well as these things can.

LT - love the flash shock pics, H always gets a really serious face when we take his photo. so our little boys are 101 days old! H was conceived about the 10th june... i was going to have his aming ceremony when he was 100 days but then i realised the weather would be ****. so now we are going to have it in sept/oct (prob oct as my brother is footy mad and going to melb in sept...)

well, Al has taken Harper for a visit to the in-laws so its nice and quiet here. sunny day too so i've just hung out the clothes and the nappies are in the machine now. oh, the housewife life LOL :D

oh how cute! if you have the camera handy next time i'd love to see a piccy of them in it! she'd look adorable!

It's an apple Sports model.
Only used about 5 times.
What would you think I could get for it?

if you cant find a buyer put it on ebay.. the ones i've seen on there get $500 easy. without the doubles kit i still think you'd get $450. why are you selling it??
the city jet looks fab! but then the cerox has the reversible handle and more extras.. tough decision! i like them both!

I've caught Shezi's pram addiction.!

 well i caught it off sarah!!

LL someone taped the funeral?! i wouldve hit him.. no i take it back.. dad wouldve beaten me to it.
enjoy your break!

carrie :hugs: im with ll and am happy it all went as well as possible.

anna no advice re leahs sleeping.. M pretty much woke 2hourly till she was nearly 1! she didnt sleep through the night till she was 19months old. A is my best sleeper at this age.. D slept really well till she hit 5 months then everything went haywire and she'd be up constantly.. its prob been the last few weeks where she is settling herself to sleep at night and during day naps. and now A has decided sleeping in her cot isnt fun through the day!
im struggling to find a routine for A.. its so easy with the older 2.

my mum is going to have D at some point next week and im going to take M & A to watch Shrek 3. i was thinking of going to a Babes in arms session but as long as A has my boobs she's fine. M cant wait to go.

D makes me laugh coz she sits in the maxirider when M isnt in the car so today she sat in A's seat(rearward facing) she didnt whinge once and still had heaps of leg room  oddly enough A & D both have their straps at the same level. my little minis lol.

LT - I like the cerox one.. Even though the jet is lighter the cerox has more extras, reversible handle AND i like the front wheels better. My RAD has those and they make pushing it an absolute dream!

Carrie - Glad to hear that your g'pas funeral went well and that you were all able to remember the good times.

Anna - I dont know how you cope with two kids on suck little sleep, i would have admitted myself to the loony bin by now!

Sarah - :hugs: re you and DP... I hope things get a bit better for you... How long have you two been together? (if you dont mind me asking that is)

Sheree - Oooh, have fun at Shrek 3, let me know how it is!!

Well i gave Griff his bottle as his last feed last night and this morning i actually had to wake him up!! My boobs were sooo full and sore that i had to wake him up and beg him to feed... So he went to bed at 10.30pm i woke him this morning at 7.45am and fed him then he basically slept right through to 11.30am! He was asleep the whole time i was at work!!

Sooooo tired. Is anyone suffering from a major sleep debt?

Yep im averaging 3/4 hrs a night or day, broken sleep, i think it's worse now than when A was a newborn. Back then praying for the nights he sleeps thru, which he does now. Now i cant sleep coz my brain like yours wont switch off, or because i keep waking thinking i can't hear A (damn paranoia). :banghead: Or overtired. How the hell does that work LOL.

Shez .. yep that rash/redness is heat rash .. A gets the exact same thing when silly mummy over heats him. Not on purpose mind you.

Antonio tried to roll from back to front today, only tried tho. Didn't get very far. He is also learning how to put the dummy back in his mouth. He trys to shove it with his arm, or lean over to get it, tongue stuck out as far as it can reach. Quite funny to watch. So i helped teach him to hold it today and he seems to be getting the gist of it. HA HA.

I think he maybe just starting to teeth too, like very early days yet, as he is sometimes chewing on his dummy , he pushes it to one side of his mouth and chews rather than sucks. If that makes sense. Or maybe playing with dummy? /shrug.

Sheree - Yep, looks like a bit of heat rash to me. They say that as long as bubs chest is warm then they are fine. (a lot of babies/people have cold hands ad feet even if they are warm. Im one of them lol) Hehe, how chubby is A!! I love her thighs, so cute! Wish i could think of mine as cute!

Yeah Griff has taken to this new Tommee Tippee bottle. So far he has had two feeds from it within 24hours and no problems. I also changed his formula to the Nestle NAN which seems to be a bit gentler for him too. I still wish i didnt have to wean him though. :crying:

LT - I love seeing the nappies that you make! Inspires me to want to learn how to sew!

AD - Glad that you and your DP are on talking terms again. :fingerscrossed: you can sort a few things out.

Sarah - LOVE the pic of the kids in the pram and the one of your mum brushing Iris' hair is awesome! Such a little princess!

Ok, guess what!? While i was getting Griffs bottle ready today at 2.30pm i had him up over my shoulder and he started to suck on my shoulder/neck bit... well, he gave me a HICKEY from sucking!!! Now THIS story will be told at his 21st!!

Hi Girls

Well what a day....DS is driving me nutz!!! He is being sooo naughty. Nearly had me in tears a few times today.....what to do, what to do :banghead: !!

Then tonight while he was screaming cause he didnt want to go to sleep I was reading emails and DH sent one from work tonight (he's on nightshift) and it said:

I love you darling

I appreciate everything you do for us .

Your warmth and love is all and more that I ever hoped for

I love every minute I spend with you

All my love your forever husband me.

Valentine isnt he just a sweety
love my man... he is truely my rock, I couldnt do it without him. He even woke up early today cause he knew how bad DS was behaving (as he could hear him from the bedroom) so he took DS shopping and I got some peace.

I am only have the TWO children!!!! I dont think I could handle three!

Anyway I'm pretty tired too!! Jacey woke at 4am for a feed and then by the time I get back to sleep around 5-5.30am Logan woke at 6am! I cant stand this 6am waking business either. He has always slept until 7am even as a bub and now its 6 and its been perfect weather for a sleep in!!! I just hope it doesnt last long.

More packing over the weekend.

Yeah Shezi, thats the hard thing I know Logan is feeling lots of things at the moment cause we are moving so the house is not the same and its def a jealousy thing too. I dont have much free time at the moment with organising everything - spent most of the day on the phone talking to solicitors/banks/insurance company/ emailing back and fouth to them as well. arrh cant wait to be settled again.

Nar my DH is just like that. He tells me those things nearly everyday anyway - very supportive of me handling the kids etc.

Yep I kinda think closer together would be easier in lots of ways! Funny how I was set on having three children until Jacey was a few weeks old

Oh and A is just gorgeous!!

Lana, tried Jacey on formula tonight cause she was fussing and she wouldnt take it. I'm going to try another type of bottle too and see if that works. Only have 5 weeks to at least get her to take expressed milk cause I want to go fishing with DH and SIL :D .

Oh, and lucky you having such a sensitive loving hubby... Sam is very loving and will send me random messages telling me he loves me too. Makes me feel fantastic.

Sarah - Fair enough! Well i hope that you guys are able to sort something out soon babe. It must be horrible feeling the way you do. :hugs:

Tazzy... that was really beautiful what yor DH wrote... dangerous ground here though with lots of girls' DH's being poo heads.
I feel bad that I have such a perfect frog when some of you are having such a hard time.

When I met Frog it took me about 3 months to fall in love with him. I could appreciate that he was handsome etc, but I knew that I liked him not just for his looks and I really loved his values , intelligence and sense of humour. I know that no matter where we go I can always be proud of him.

I know when I wss with my ex when it was purely physical attraction it was a really crappy relationship.

I hope AD and Sarah get it all fixed up soon.

Thanks for the compliments on the nappies girls.. but I wont be making any to sell. Just selling the materials. Its about 10 times more profitable for me to site down for 2 hours and do some programming than make a nappy.

I sure hope that it's something that passes, one of those times you look back at with bewilderment! Either way, I hope you find some peace with it soon. You too AD, I hope that you can get some good solid sleep under your belt, and that it somehow helps!

i wish me and dp had a better 'friendship'. we were friends prior getting together obviously coz i've known him since i was 17.. but to be 100% honest i think spending a day together 'just us 2' doesnt appeal to either of us. probably due to how we've been tho. he works.. im with the kids. he comes and goes as he pleases.. where ever i go i have 3 in tow. it works for us.

taryn im still up for 4 kids. i have my days where im like ok maybe 3 is enough.. then its nah whats one more :D i cant imagine never being pregnant again.. never having another baby.. *i do hope this feeling passes at some point tho.. thinking of 5 is scary so i think 4 will be it for me* lol

sarah thats cute about the song. my main memory from my dad is him walking me to school and we used to jump on snails and yell 'that made him pop his head in'.. not proud anymore of the poor little snails we killed :( my dad worked away heaps so he prob only walked us to school one week out of 6 or 7 but i dont recall my mum walking us ever.. yet she walked us EVERY day! LOL. how bad is that! oh and another one.. we used to go food shopping together. it was our 'thing' and he'd knock tomatoes and grapes on the ground and tread on them of kick them under shelves.. geez imagine the people that wouldve tripped.. it was a crack up for me obviously as i was like 7 and younger but HE shouldve known better.. damn big kid lol. still is!

Where's Jaime???? Get your little bum back here!
Who else is missing in action? Scoobs?

Thank you! We had a great time. Also missing Frangi and a few others...

Gin~ thanks for your warm thoughts:hugs: Kes is beautiful he is so so so good looking with those dark looks and big lips! I bet he'll give griff a run for his $ in the hickey dept. hahahahhahaha

You're welcome,I posted once before we were friends about my issues and you were the first (of only 3) to respond! :hugs:

As for the hickies, you're right, I have a pretty big hickey on my bicep (far less romantic!) fading in to a lovely bruise at the moment

**EDIT: LL, dinner sounds lovely! And the roast beef... *drool*
And Sarah-in another photo from yesterday I thought Kes looked quite a bit like a young O! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v671/Edmund1/granshoulder.jpg

Gin - Hehe is that hickey on your arm from Kes?? I think its hilarious that he poos when g'ma holds him!! she must really give him the sh!ts  (jokes! couldnt refuse using the pun!)

Another reason for holding off on solids is that they need to get rid of that reflex that pushes everything out of their mouth with their tongue! Certainly makes feeding them tricky. Oh and the fact that he wont be a purely booby boy!

Was it in here that you posted bout your issues hun??

LL - Sounds like you had a great night. Isnt it funny how sometimes when you are with the kid(s) you wish you could have some 'me' time but when you actually get it you end up spending most of your time worrying about them!

Sarah - I cant believe Iris can go 11 days without pooing! It must be massive when it does finaly come out... (thats when u need to express and leave her with your DH :devil6: )

Griffs last feed worked out to be booby last night, needless to say he didnt sleep as long as when he had the formula. Amity on the other hand, is still asleep and it is 10.15am!! I guess she was worn out at day care yesterday lol.

Lana, yep it's a Kes special on my arm, LOL I let him suck it because he was upset and then suddenly it started hurting and I looked down and it was bright purple!
Nah, I posted the prob well before Kes was even a twinkle in our eyes (I had the sh!t something shocking with DH and was questioning whether to keep trying for a bub!). Needless to say we got it sorted :D hehe *also, I used an alias ;)

Yeah, I laugh so hard at my poor Mum, I told her she gives him the sh!ts, she didn't laugh :o

so its true then? my MIL says i should give H formula at night to make him sleep through but i said no...
just out of interest tho - how are FF babies sleeping at night compared to BF babies?
H is fully BF and he sleeps about 5 hours then 3-4 hours.

I think it varies from baby to baby. A lot of breastfed babies sleep just as well (and sometimes longer) than FF bubs...

LL. toadlet is FF and sleeps from about 7 hours till 11.20 hours.

I was reading that thread/article about the baby born without a face and it made me really sad. Not because I felt sorry for the girl (which I do) , but I find it extremely cruel and selfish that someone can be so desperate to have a child they dont care if it doesnt have vital organs needed to survive like a stomach and is severly disfigured. It would be more humane to think of the child future, how alienated it will be from society, the agonizing pain it will go through with endless operations to reconstruct her face.
Thought I better not reply in the thread as I know I'll get slammed.

Hollie~ its a very hard decision to make, My friend had to make it when her lil bub was 20wks as he didnt have any genitals:gloomy: very sad situation and I just thankgod Ive never been in that position.

 This girl will be the death of me. Put her in her cot for bed last night as shes started really disturbing me in teh bassinet for some reason. Anyhooo, Sam woke her when he went to bed and then she didn't resettle until I put her in the bassinet at 12.30am then she still woke at 3.30 and 5.50 for feeds. *sigh*.

Another reason for holding off on solids is that they need to get rid of that reflex that pushes everything out of their mouth with their tongue! Certainly makes feeding them tricky. Oh and the fact that he wont be a purely booby boy!

Not to mention alergies they are more likely to grow out of if left longer to start solids. I dont plan to start solids till nearly 6 months. I hated making food and feeding Sam. It took FOREVER and used to frustrate the hell out of me. 30 minutes for no more than a spoon full of food and then there was the cooking and freezing food only to have him gag or turn his nose up at it. I started him at 4.5 months though so he still had the tongue thrust reflex which is a pain in the a$$ when feeding.

so its true then? my MIL says i should give H formula at night to make him sleep through but i said no...
just out of interest tho - how are FF babies sleeping at night compared to BF babies?
H is fully BF and he sleeps about 5 hours then 3-4 hours.

Sam slept through at 7 weeks fully FF. Leah is 13 weeks and still waking at least twice a night fully BF. Once they are on solids though they should go longer through the night and in reality, thats less than 3 months away so I'll stick it out till then. I have considered giving her a bottle of formula at night though to see if that makes any difference but truth be known, half the time shes waking shes not hungry anyway so Im not sure if its just me jumping the gun because I hear her stir rather than waiting to see if she'll resettle. :o

Speaking of hickys, leah gave me one on my boob a couple of weeks back. She misaimed in our sleep.

Well today has been a nothing day. Too tired and too wet to go out. DH has taken Sam out now for a wee while and Leah has been rather unsettled today. Just sitting here looking at my pile of unfolded washign that is hiding my cough.......

LT, I haven't seen the thread but from what you have said, I couldnt' agree with you more. Sounds like quite a selfish act.

Cant remember anything else. Hope everyone is well anyway.

Sarah.. O looks hilarious.. already taking after daddy?

I was thinking earlier that Kes looked a little like O.

BTW, you are right, that would have been a very hard decision for your friend. Can I ask what they decided to do? Could they really tell lfrom an ultrasound that it didn't have any bits? Lucky they didn't just mistake it for a girl. But I think there comes a point where if the baby couldnt survive without drastic medical intervention and serios malformation then there would be no other decision. Still very hard to do though.\

Very glad I never had to make that decision. You can't detect "funny looking rodent" in an ultrasound.

They were told there was a problem at the 12 week scan (thickness of the neck) and then at the 16 week scan and nuchal test thingy they confirmed heart problems, no genitalia and some stomach/bowel problems
They werent really given an option in the end and she was induced at 20weeks and delievered bubs, they were given a birth certificate and a death certificate and they had an intimate funeral for him

She is now 36weeks pg with a healthy baby it will be her fourth including her lil angel baby:angel:

Sarah - Love O's pose!! He looks very comfy! That would have been horrible for your friend to have been told all of that. Oh and your bargains sound great!

LT - I agree with you! No matter how much you want a child you need to think about how it will affect their quality of life.

LL - On booby juice Griff sleeps from 10pm til 5am and on the bottle it was 10.30pm til 8am. You could always try formula at night if you really want to but as Anna said, the 6 month/ solids arent that far away anyway!

I feel terrible today. been lying on the couch with a ripper headache. its right behind my eyes and in the forehead and kills when i move... lots of pressure in there.

Evening ladies

It's taken me over an hour to catch up on 7 pages ... prob cos i was talking on MSN as well ... We were going thru a quiet patch weren't we but doesn't seem like it anymore chatterboxes.

Sarah I hope that you & Dh manage to sort through everything & get back on track again. I have had a lot of rough spots with my dh over the yrs with things i don't wish to disclose online but we always got through them as we just love each other so much & knew from the day we met we were it even though my parents always wanted us to stop seeing each other - he was a bad boy lol. They luv him now tho ... he & dad gang up on me! We have been married 2 yrs this September & together for ... it was 9 yrs in April. I hope that it is just the stress u are going through effecting things and nothing more. Hugs babe xoxo

LT - that poor baby! I agree with you.

LL - When Ella was having EBM bottles & formula I had heard ff bubs slept thru better at night but not true. She has only just been going through the last week or 2 without a feed. (except when she was sick). Ella is sleeping from around 5.30-6pm (actually wants to go in cot instead of cuddles :( ) and waking at 3 for dummy, 4 for dummy, sometimes in between and I give her a bottle around 4.30 ish. I did that this morning, took dh to work, expected my alarm (Ella) to go off at 7.30 but didn't & I woke at 8.30, her around 9.30 so that was nice.

Lana - HAHA Griff! Talk about kids these days starting early ... Ella likes to suck on our necks as well but never got a hickey - prob cos we pull her off lol. Ella likes sucking on my hands when in the way of hers ... she sucked my thumb the other day! What's wrong with hers?

LT - How's mummy telescope going? Lol. It reminds me of that book where the chicken(?) is asking everything/everyone if they're his mummy. Ella's obsession is the ceiling fan. She will be crying then see it then stop, talk & smile! Cheeky bugger.

Ok speaking of cheeky monkeys I bought a Bonds Hoodie for me the other week. I wore once. Every other time I have attempted to wear it Ella has projectile vomitted ALL over it EVERY time & need to wash again!!! Grr...

Sarah - Gr8 Bargains, gr8 pics, love Miss Iris's hair and outift your mum is making for her. Got E some more MJ's (Bright Bots - purple) today. Will get a pic for ya. Always think of u when getting shoes! Haha.

Bibs - Anyone who has a very messy feeder like Elly-moo you should buy these Bright Bots bibs from Trade Secret. They'r $3.95 each, big, towel on front, plastic back. They actually work!! Yay! Bought 2 the other day & 2 more today. I no longer have to use 4 layers of cloth nappy! Haha...

NIC - Hope little miss Madi is feeling better & you are too. Can't wait to catch up again.

Um ... Ella has too many clothes lol. i am going nuts.

LT - I LUV YOUR P&T PRAM!!!! How much??? Can u add the tandem bit on separately when #2 comes along? Out of the others u posted i like em both. They look pretty bulky tho. I luv my pram apart from when the front tyre blew. That pi$$ed me off. Mine is light, easy to use, swivels easy, good height, nice big wheels, front wheel can be locked in place for walking (i never do tho).

Shezi - Luv your pics! A reminds me of E with her rolls.

Tazzy - You're hubby sounds adorable & so so sweet!

Jaimie, Scoob, Frangi, Mrs Miggins ... where are you all??

Anna - Hope you get some sleep hun. You too AD.

Baaaaaack (http://www.bizztools.net/misc/baaa.jpg)

I need to get some embroidery thread to do a cheezy grin.

Can't wait to try it on him!

Very proud of my little toadlet. We woke him up 15 minutes before feeding time, took him out in the backpack for a walk, went and got sushi and decided to eat in. He was due for his feed but sat qite happily while we ate and didn't grizzle once. Took him home 40 minutes overdue and he was a perfect little toadlet.

We take him out every day, there has only been three days since he was born that he hasn't been out. So happy he's well behaved.

LT- you've done it again! Pure brilliance in that nappy, can't wait to see your rodent modelling it (and the grin, LOL) Toadlet sounds like a real traveling man, it sure makes a difference doesn't it!
I love taking Kes out, and am constantly amazed at how he adapts. That's where the P&T's works well for us, as I take the train a fair bit and the newborn position sways as we go along which he loves.
Although... last trip, he insisted on standing on my lap to look out the window, didn't cry, but grumped and frowned till I held him up :o
I constantly miss his feeding times, he usually just chills till I stop somewhere, then guzzles it down like a man in the desert.

Carrie-sounds like Ella doesn't like your new top! LOL, either that or she's jealous ;)

Sarah- fantastic bargain hunting! very jealous, I'm a big fan of comfy t-shirts.
Love the armchair, can't believe how grown up O looks, terrifies me that they look so old so soon, I'm not ready!!!

Lana- I hope your head's better, no fair having headaches on weekends. Sam being a good bloke and taking care of you?

AD-the swing looks great, I'm itching to buy something like that, but trying to save for that FP rainforest mat... will I resist..? :o

Kes hasn't eaten much today, and my poor boozies are like rocks, painful rocks. He was pretty funny before though, just had a lick, then watched the fountain start, LOL, I was madly grabbing for cloths and he was grinning away, having the occasional lick. Cheeky little beggar!

my nephew ry broke his wrist today.. he's 11 and first broken bone.. poor little guy! my sis rang me this morning as she was in the drs but didnt know whether to go straight to the ER. i rang the ER to see how long the wait was and explained the pain he was in and they said he'd pretty much go straight in.. rang sis back then on their way there her friend rang who was watching her 2yrold twins and she had to go out(she has 4girls) so my sis had to grab the twins first.. i was going to go up but she lives 40mins away so by the time i got there she couldve had ry seen to. and meeting her at the hospy was out of the question coz i'd have 5kids then lol.
ok long story short her hubby picked up the twins from the hospy and took them home.. rys xray showed a clean break, thankfully, as that meant no surgery just plaster. oh and i forgot he broke it while riding his bike. to be honest i think he did damn well not breaking a bone prior to now! i broke my thumb and collarbone both in the same year! same age as him actually..

A is finally having a decent sleep in her bed through the day. about an hour.. and only one a day. but thats huge for her!
D's fave word is NO. and if you ask her to do something she asks its either no or 'why' i usually say coz i told you to then she goes 'ah'. im fairly certain she has no concept of what shes on about.. she just likes making conversation!! oh and she says 'i love daddy' chris drilled that one into her.. i've been saying to her all day to say i love mummy or i love sissy but it always comes out 'i luv daddy!' cheeky!
M is the princess as always.. weird to think of a 3r old with attitude.. but my gosh she has it! i think her fave word is also no. hence where D got it from!
the girls have been trashing the place lately and i've been the one cleaning up after them but now they have gone too far.. they got into the bath tub and squirted baby shampoo & baby powder everywhere(oddly it stayed in the tub! finding positives in negatives lol) and they've been going into the toy room and just tipping containers of toys out.. i can handle mess caused through playing but not just out of being destructive.. its my own fault tho coz i've always been easy on them but now im paying for it seeing tho M will be 4 soon! time to nip it in the bud i think..
love the nappy hollie. very cute! monty is such a well behaved little boy isnt he!
i try to get the girls out the house every day too even if its just for a walk. we all get bored very easy. their fave place here is the backyard lol.

AD i miss the "play buys" at TRU. so easy to spend up and pay it over the next couple of months.. i went there the other day and spent $300 stocked up on nappies and what not too but i was like  whereas before i couldve done $500 and not batted an eyelid

sarah your poor friends..(the fact that they knew the probs but bub wasnt delivered till 20weeks i am very happy about tho.. that comment might seem silly but prior to 20weeks the baby doesnt get a birth certificate.. its classed as m/c and thats it but the fact their baby was acknowledged as being born i feel makes a difference *i know everyone prob knew that before 20weeks is a m/c but just had to explain myself anyway*) thats the main reason i get so peeved when people make comments in regards to me not having a boy. its like they dont realize how lucky i am to have 3 healthy children.

hollie im just so happy i have never had to be in that position to choose whether or not to terminate coz in all honesty i dont know what i would do. i think in terms of huge deformities or problems i would hope that i wasnt given the choice. having to 'decide' whether your unborn baby lives or not would have to be the worst decision any parent could ever make.

carrie sounds like ella doesnt like hoodies lol

hi all - firstly, i hope you are all well...

just a note to say i am still alive and kicking, and Alexander is doing fantastically. he is holding things with his hands, making lots of talking noises, but not rolling on his own yet.

Lana - thanks for your text - i am sooo sorry i have been missing in action, i have been so VERY sick with bad flu for nearly one month now, hubby got a new job which means more travel for him - luckily only WA, both my mum and grandma have been in hospy - mum's ok now but gran's been in there already for 1 month, it's a long drive every day for me, and i just cant get over this dreaded lergy.

so, i wont meet up with the Perthies, i am battling to get much done at the moment, with still trying to keep up with playgroup and family committments. thanks so much for thinking of me, and i hope you have a great meet.

well alexander is 16 weeks and 4 days now, and his 16 week stats are as follows:

weight - 6.84kg
length - 62.5 cms
apparently this means 75th percentile.

we are still b/feeding although sometimes when i give him an expressed bottle he wants close to 300 mls - and i cant keep up, so i am now going to have to occasionally top him up with formula.

apart from him already having 2 flu's, he is well. i found a BRILLIANT doctor in the northern suburbs for him (GP), who i love, and he sucked the mucous out of the poor boy's nose out with a machine the other day - what a horrible thing, but he has been getting better since.

i think he got the flu from the creche at my gym. needless to say, i havent been back to the gym for 3-4 weeks, with both of us so sick.

i must admit i have been reading our posts lately, here and there, and am so proud of all of us march mummies, we all seem to have the occasionally prob (ok except LT!), but we bounce back and go on to support each other, it's just amazing - WE ARE AMAZING!

i must go get to bed, just wanted to reply seeing as you texted me lana, but i only just saw your message and i thought it's too late to text back, i would hate to wake anyone....

ps - i dragged myself to the TRU sale - oh dear, sooo many people - but some GREAT bargains. unfortunately only enough credit left on the visa for nappies!!!

Firsttime - Hey hun!!! No problems re the message. Sheree gave me your number cos she didnt have any credit. Sounds like you and your little man have been doing it tough lately, hope you are both feeling better soon. :hugs: re your mum and g'ma being in hospital, i hope they are ok.

Alexander sounds like he is thriving! And what a clever boy to be holding things on his own!! I really hope that you guys are feeling better soon and hopefully you will be able to make the next meet once you are feeling better.

Sheree - Aww your poor nephew! I have never broken any bones so i cant really sympathise BUT i can imagine how much it must hurt.

I miss the TRU play-buys too! It meant you could really take advantage of their sales...i guess too many people were maxing out their credit cards and not being able to make the repayments.

 to D & M loving the work "no". Amity is the same. Its actually quite annoying. If she tells me no i just keeps saying yes, she always stops saying no before me! :devil6: Im lucky because Amity hasnt started the whole "why" stage yet, D is getting in young though! I suppose that happens when you have an older sibling though.

LL - thought i would add this in for you. After giving Griff formula last night (and him drinking all but 90mls) he STILL woke at 2.25am for booby. Im sure that if he had of finished the bottle it would have been different. So it really does depend on the baby!

Sarah - I love your new Avy. Haven't taken a pic of the shoes yet but I will! Are you going to go to counselling? It's a shame that it has gotten to that stage however if it works it works & that is the main thing isn't it. Hugs babe

Shezi - Your poor nephew - and your poor sis! Mind you I think kids are more resiliant than us old gals (lol) - I broke my arm when I was 3 or 4 but hung off my uncle's arms (he was the dr - oh and not real uncle just close friend iykwim) after getting plaster on and riding my BMX the next day! I have broken my arm then I broke my fingers playing basketball when I was 14, my foot when I was 19.

D is a cheeky monkey! Did the Dummy Fairy visit M?
Lana - Hope your headache has cleared up. Poor Sam having to work all weekend ... Dave worked yesterday too but has today off.

FirstTime - Welcome back! Too bad you have been having a terrible month! Here's hoping you get better, Alexander gets better, your mum & grandmother get better very soon.

Gin - I took E on the train & she sits up in her pram but I got her out last time but then realised we had no window as we were in the bit near the doors on the sideways seats so I could have pram etc there.

I am so confident with Ella now it's wonderful & I love taking her out all the time & showing her off. Especially now I discovered bathing her in the morning makes a massive difference! Lol. I think I am more confident cos I know what she wants & when to expect her feeds / sleep etc so I can get her fixed before she starts iykwim? I love being a mummy!

LT - Gorgeous nappy! Dh was wondering what it was thinking it was pants but I explained that that is the new cloth nappies hehe. Luv the sheep! Monty Toad sounds like the perfect baby. I haven't had sushi for ages now I feel like it!

AD - So sorry! I haven't looked at the actual catalogue cos my computer was so slow on that site last night ... might look now! Woopsy!

Anna - As of yesterday Ella started reaching out on purpose to grab her toys on her play mat (which we actually have to put on her dooner as she is too long for it!). She has her fists but she wraps her arms through this ring with a bee on it & then eats it! Haha... But she reached out on purpose to tap the keys on the keyboard this morning too!

It won't be long now until they are getting into anything and everything!

I looked at playgroups, gymboree etc last night. Gymboree is too far for us to go but the local playgroups sound good. There is one freebee but don't really like the sound of it. The other 2 are $3 or $4 per visit or $20 per term/quarter, very close, have activities for under 2's, structured activities and regular outings. I am gonna try & convince SIL/bf to come as well with my niece (2). I just have always wanted to do things like that with my kids and happy I can finally do it! Ppl say I am good going out already but like LT I luv it and enjoy it.

Best be off - have to get ready for my SIL's Grace party (skincare & jewellery). Bringing E with me now cos other SIL's hubby is working so bringing nephew so niece is staying now & is asking about E all the time. The boys are gonna go fishing again (they tried out the new boat motor early this morning but caught sh!t all).

Have a beautiful Sunday girls & bubs xoxo

Morning all,

Better sleep last night. Leah slept in her cot :yelclap: . Still woke at 12am and 3am and 5.30am but at least I wasn't waking to her every stir so feeling a little more rested today. Sam performed like a pork chop till 10pm last night and still didn't wake her so happy about that (not about his performing though:mad: ).

Annsam,... Valium??
Would love some thanks!.........oh you mean for Leah  .

Thats very sad indeed.

Made my first nappy from my material stash I got on Friday.

.
that is seriously too cute! Good on your well behaved toadlet too.

Kes hasn't eaten much today, and my poor boozies are like rocks, painful rocks. He was pretty funny before though, just had a lick, then watched the fountain start, LOL, I was madly grabbing for cloths and he was grinning away, having the occasional lick. Cheeky little beggar!

LOL thats so funny. Hate it when that happens. Or when you're lying in bed with the baby feeding and you feel a warm trickle down your side. Thats usually when Leahs falled asleep but hasn't stopped sucking and forgets to swallow. LOL.

Think I have come to a very big decision today. I think Im going to do my midwifery or nursing/midwifery degree next year. Do want another baby or two but it might just have to wait a few years till Im working in about 5 years time and I'll have to take the gamble on my fertility. Its something Ive had a lot of trouble deciding on as I feel guity as all hell giving up being a SAHM when I have the financial capacity to be one in lou of doing something for me but on the other hand, I dont think I have the mental disposition to have 3 young children and be a SAHM while we have no family support. I think I'll go nuts. Anyway, thats my brain wave for the week.

Off to research courses.

I put A on his tummy again today, after me thinking yesterday that he is a lazy so and so as only little prog and not much effort on his behalf.. until now.

He not only lifted and held his head up straight but also his shoulders/chest. For like 2 minutes! (no crying) Face planted and did it again, and again, had a rest and did it again, the fell asleep LOL! Huuuge effort for him. Very happy mummy... so i think :fingerscrossed: he is finally gotton used to it!

He has also been very chatty and smiling, even giggling to Dp... a first in it'self. Dunno what happened over night but he is a new boy LOL.

Oh and i found a new tickly spot, when he was on his tummy i was gently tracing his back with my nails and he he full on giggled! :yelclap:.

His flat spot seems to look a lot better too, and he is moving his head both sides with what seems to be more ease now too. YAY!

When i stand him up he also bears weight on his legs too.

Im one proud mummy today :D

ETA: How many times can i type 'too' ... LOL

ooo good luck with the degree anna! sounds like a great plan! im thinking of looking into starting a family daycare.. once D is at kindy tho. i really need to suss it all out coz i have a feeling it'd be a fulltime course over a few years which im not prepared to do right now. part time yes but not fulltime. another option i looked into was fostering.. you can actually be like a helper and take foster kids on the weekend to give carers a break.. i think this is something i'd need to do once mine are older tho as i feel foster kids would need complete attention. if i do go through with in it a few years i would become a proper foster mum tho.

jumping topics here but what do yous think of gay couples adopting or using surrogates? chris & i disagree. he's against it.. his opinion is he wouldnt want to have been raised by two men. i think i might have altered his opinion tho coz i said with all the sh!t parents out there any child is better off with parents that love them to bits. who cares if its gay couples, straight couples or single parents!

sarah :hugs: damn men! im sick of mine too. but nothing new there..
less than 4weeks till orlando is 3! time flies hey! spins me out that im going to have a 4yrold soon! scary.. altho i cant wait to hear back from the school i put her in.. im hanging to go out buying everything she needs.. wrapping scrapbooks in contact.. all the mummy things you get to do once their in school.. hehe.
carrie nope no fairy visit as yet.. due to funds lol. i want to get her something special coz her dummy has been with her since she was 3weeks old.. any ideas??

firsttime hopefully you can make it next time. :hugs: hope you start feeling better soon.

lol lana re saying 'yes' to amity.. good idea! will try that. M was never like D at this age so i definitely think its coz shes #2.. scared to think what A will be doing at 19months  lol.

I think foster parents are worth their weight in gold!! A very admirable (sp) career.

I agree that any child loved is a lucky child regardless of who is raising it.

I cant believe sam will be 3 soon either. Leah is 3 months today. where the hell did that go?

Clever Antonio!!!:yelclap: Leah lies on tum but no push ups yet.

Leah just slept a whooping 5 hrs. why doesnt she do that at night :banghead:

How about this for the toothfairy gift.....she can keep her dummy and still grow up!
You put it on a t shirt or romper very cute

Anna~ Fab news about your decision to become a midwife you will be fantastic at it!

My sister has decided she HAS to get married in May 2008 coz her df's friends are going to live in India in june and they want them at the wedding (as he only has one sister and no other family etc)

AND got a close look at the ring, they arent cherubs they are mermaids with boobs:eek: I am not kidding!!! tried to take a pic but it kept coming up all chiny and fuzzy will post the best one of the lot later
Its the fugliest thing ive ever seen!

ok is it bad of me to NOT go to the funeral service with dh tomorrow (for his friend and her family)???
I really dont want to go as I wont know anyone, Iris will be all unsettled as she doesnt like loooong car trips AND we have ask my brother to babysit O as there is no one else available and my bro has never babysat anything in his life not even a cat lol

I feel bad should I just go?

if no to both then i wouldnt go. imo funerals arent for kids so i can understand why you dont want them there.. i guess its more practical for your hubby to go alone but if he needs/wants your support and to be there for him its prob best if you went. tough call hey. i dont like funerals

the dummy top is a good idea.. she can wear it to bed! thanx for the link.(hope you dont get in trouble tho - mods are cracking down hehe)

LT - LOVE the nappy, is that your new honeyboy pattern?

Gin - Kes sounds so cute. Harps new thing is to have a few sucks then pull back and give me big grin... while being squirted in the face and up the nose

Carrie - i second the whole confidence and loving being mum thing, isnt it the best feeling?

PERTHIES - looking forward to tomorrow!!

Anna - that is great news about doing the degree, you will be an excellent midwife.

Sheree - you are such a great mum, any kids who came to foster with you would be so lucky.
re the gay adoptions, i think there are so many kids with cruddy parents or no parents so if a couple is out there who would love and support them, then who cares if its two guys??

Sarah - MERMAIDS WITH BOOBS??? WTF? that sounds so rank!
re the funeral, i don't think you should go. i'm sure your husband will understand that the kids are first priority.

well, my little sister's 18th last night was good but we had wayyyy too much food. so we took home about 3kg of roast beef :D going to give some to a friend coz we will never eat it all. my brother scored a box of chicken pieces (he lives with 2 other guys now so i'm sure that will go quickly).
how short are 18yo girls dresses?!? lol. my uncles, dad, brother, cousins, DH were all having a huge perve HAHAHA. these girls were all clustered around the heater tho, freezing their skinny butts off lol.

ok time for a roast beef roll

Anna - I think the midwifery course will be awesome for you! Yay for Leah sleeping in her cot! Hopefully she will start to sleep a bit longer for you too now!

Sheree - I agree that having parents that love you is far more important than having them be a heterosexual couple. I also believe that children who are bought up in same sex households are more likely to be open minded about things in life than some of the kids bought up in stereotypical family.

Great idea about becoming a foster mum. Shows how much love you have to give too! Im not sure that i could do it though, i find things hard enough as they are sometimes.

AD - :yelclap: for Antonio!! Looks like the exercises and persevering with him has really paid off!!

Sarah - Mermaids with boobs!? :barf: i couldnt imagine anything worse!! I certainly wouldnt want boobs on my engagement ring!

Its a toughy re whether you should go or not. Dh probably wants you there for a bit of support. If Iris becomes too unsettled you could always just go outside with her and is there anyway that you could time it so that she is due for a feed just as you arrive?? Im sure you bro will be ok with O, at least he isnt a baby and able to communicate a bit.

LL - Yep im looking forward to tomorrow too! Been doing some cleaning lol! Griffin does the same thing with pulling off the boob to smile or he will smile with it in his mouth!

I know what u mean re 18yr olds dresses! They are more like belts than dresses. I would much rather wear pants and be warm and comfy thank you very much!

Have a killer headache still. I think it might be time to buy a new pillow cos i think it is my neck that is making my head sore. It is right up the left side and into my temple and behind my eyes... Ouch!

only thing putting me off fostering is that you have to give them back. which is great if the parents are ready but not great when its damn drug addicts.. poor kids just get stuck in a cycle of parents & foster homes. ridiculous!

I hope the days goes as well as possible and im sure Iris will be fine for you babe. :hugs:

Sheree - Yep i feel for the kids that are in and out of foster care their whole lives. Not because they have to stay with other people but because their parents are too selfish to think about their kids and the way their behaviour is affecting them (and yes i understand that not all parents are drug addicts and some arent able to help it, but im talking bout the ones that are!)

Hey

Thought I better post while Madi is having her lunchtime nap. She is loving her soy milk and drinking most of the bottle now. She is doing really well and sleeping great at night, waking once a night for a quick feed and straight back to bed. It's been so cold here and her hands are freezing, I put mittens on her but they are still cold poor bubba.

I just phoned my work this morning and extended my maternity leave, now returning in September on a part time basis, was meant to go August but an extra month will make a difference I am sure at this young age.

Carrie, glad your G'pa's funeral went as well as it could go :hugs: . Great news about E and you feeling very happy and confident with her. I might try bathing M in the mornings - hehe. We should catch up soon so the girls can have a play.

NM, I hope the funeral goes well as it can, it's such a sad time for you guys! Your outfit sounds very appropriate. I also hope you and DH sort out your problems and things get better. BTW - I agree that ring sounds horrible, what made them get that one?

LL, glad your sister's 18th went well. I can't believe what the girls wear these days! HEHE.... I would be so ancient if I ever walked into a nightclub these days

AD, Antonio sounds very cute giggling for you! Madi doesn't giggle yet, she squeals but no laugh or giggle noise comes out her mouth - LOL, I must make up for it with my loud mouth.

Hope everyone is well and doing great, sorry that I didnt' reply to all, just quickly looked through the posts.

Oh, I did want to ask, what age do bubs have to be to turn their car seats around? Madi hates facing the back seat and wondering when I can change her 'cause it might make her like car tirps a bit more

18-06-2007, 12:00
Hey girls!

NM - I hope that Iris is well behaved for you tomorrow. What we did with Ella was hold out for a feed (cos she just sleeps in the car anyway) and arrived 1/2 hour before the service was due to start & fed her in the car when we arrived. By the time g'pa's song came on in the service (beginning) she was off to sleep in my arms. She made a couple of noises before she went to sleep but nothing her dummy didn't fix lol. After the service we got the pran out of the car & put her in it til she woke up at morning tea where she talked & smiled to everyone (I discovered when I changed her after her next bottle that she'd done a pooh & that's prob what the noises were! Lol).

I think what you are wearing is very appropriate. I don't like all black at funerals. I wore black pants & a pink collared top (from work!) and my black suit jacket cos it was cold but wouldn't have worn it otherwise. I believe a funeral is to celebrate a person's life. Although in this situation with the very young children & young parent/s it is a lot sadder & harder to think of it as a celebration. I will be thinking of you & your dh (& iris!) and hope it can go as well as something as tragic as this can go.

Anna - I think it would be great for you to do your midwifery course! How long does it take?

Shezi - You would be a great foster mum & any kid would be lucky to have you looking out for them. I always wanted to run family day care (when I was doing ECS) but you actually have to study now for it & get the certificate/diploma/degree. I am still considering doing this at a later stage. You never used to have to do a course. You will also need a current first aid certificate - although you've prob had heaps of practice! Lol.

Lana - I hope you are feeling better today! Is the Perth meet today? Hope it is going well.

AD - Yay Antonio! That is wonderful that your persistance has paid off! Ella is getting better too & I didn't even put anything under her front the other day & she was holding herself for ages really well. On the floor i use a bed head from her Gosmer (sp?) Wings cot set folded in half & a clothy over the top for spew. I discovered it helps to put her play gym in front of her so she looks up and towards that instead of toys on the floor.

Ella loves standing up on the change table in the nude before a bath or shower lol.

Nic - Glad Madi is enjoying the soy milk and sleeping better for you. Def try bathing in the morning (I just give her a shower with dh or me at night time now so no playing). Ella is asleep for the 3rd time today!

I was having a bad night cos E woke at 12 and kept waking til 2am winging for her dummy. I ended up feeding her at 2 and she woke at 5 but took her to bed & we slept til 8.30 ish. She was awake stirring a few times but then dozing again & it is easier sticking her dummy back in as you don't have to actyally be properly awake & just reach over instead of going to her room. Much easier.

I went to this Grace party yesterday at SIL's. Ended up ordering tinted moisturiser & pressed powder in a gold compact. It is so light & natural when u don't wanna wear foundation. I still reacted to the cleansers & other skin products though. I am considering becoming a Mary Kay consultant next yr as I love their stuff & don't react to it (do to pretty much everything else).

I have decided for my sister's 21st I am going to make her an Aunty frame with a pic of her & Ella (must take a good one!) and also a tin which says "Mandi's Treasures" and put a 21st charm in it. What do you think?

If any Brisbane mums are interested the Scrapbook Lovers thread is organising a crop night so if you wanna get into it this is ideal. Wine & cheese etc are usually provided plus you can usually buy stuff from the shop where it is as well during the night. (Dangerous lol).

Ok sorry for the long post ... I will prob get the award for longest posts at the next BH award lol!

He girls.

Leahs being feral. We've been out all day so I guess she has every right to be. Shes just performed for 40 minutes until I gave her the dummy which shes been quite happy without for a few days now.

Did some post baby clothes shopping today. Got a couple pairs of jeans and 2 jackets. Colarado is having a fantastic sale......... so is Jag. Picked up some great bargins.

M2B, between 8 and 12kg. The heavier the better as they have more neck strength and are less likely to sustain bad injury. there is a length recommendation too but I forget what that is but basically its for super light kids (like Sam was - he wasn't turned till about a year when all other kids his age were turned about 6 months before that).

As for the shower, yeah they are slimy little suckers arne't they. Used to scare me rotten with Sam but you get used to it.

Carrie, the degree is 3 years plus I'd need to work 1 year before considering more babies. Its only an intake of 33 though for over 800 applications so its very likely I wont get into it and will need to go the nursing route which can be done part time with more flexibility so I guess it depends on the degree as to how long I'll take to do it.

Sorry baby E is waking so much. I get 12, 3 and 5.30 as the standard. Pretty exhausting isn't it?

Sarah, I hope the funneral was ok. I feel for you as I too wouldnt' cope with the whole thing.

The ring sounds just fab!

Lana, hope your head is feeling better.

Sorry girls, just skimmed. Leahs still performing so best go give her a big cuddle.

Hi Mel and welcome! Yep, this is for march bubbas!

Sheree and Michaela - Thanks for coming up today! I had a great time and i think Amity did too. She is in bed now! Lol i think your girls wore her out Sheree, feel free to bring them up anytime!

Sarah - Is the funeral today?? I think it is but cant remember. Hope it went well and it wasnt too difficult.

Anna - I hope Leah settles for you soon. Hopefully she will have a big sleep for you now.

Carrie - Aww i hope Ella sleeps better tonight!

M2B - I think they generally say between 8 - 12kg or 6 months old. It should tell you the exact info on the booklet that came with the car seat though. Does yours have a upright reclined and normal upright setting?? If so, then when you turn it around set it to reclined that way when Madi falls asleep her head wont fall forward.

Had a great day so far! Had the girls and their bubs/kids over this morning which was great! Aalivyah is so little! Harper had his baby blues switched on too (his eyes are so blue!). Griff was a good boy and was quite happy to just sit in his rocker for most of it.

D is only 10kg now lol) but we'll see how we go. thankfully she loves her seat. M on the other hand hated it!

Hey girls,

Got back about an hour ago from the funeral/wake, we are all pretty much drained (except for O as his still full of beans)
Thought id log in and get my mind off of soem stuff you know how it is switch on and tune out sort of thing!

O was good for my bro (although i had to ring and remind him to feed O lol)

DH has taken O to drop my bro home and iris is sound asleep.

She was great on the trip up but about 10mins into the service started to grizzle so I took her out and fed her in the car (I missed most of the service)
It was packed so fortunately I didnt get to see the baby coffins (which im very glad about as i would have prob. :o myself and blubbered!

Went to the wake and dh got to chat to his friends about fond memories of his dear beloved friend which I think helped him alot, im glad I went for his sake.

very very hard day, cant imagine what it was like for the families involved.

Hey all, Sarah, I hope today went OK for you guys :hugs:

Perthies-come over East, your meets sound fun!

LL-Glad the party went well (and yay for leftovers!), Harper sounds like such a sweet little boy, must melt your heart when he gives you a big milky grin! :D

M2B-the first shower I draped a cloth nappy over DH's arm to hold Kes with so he wouldn't slip. However when I took him in the shower myself I didn't bother and actually found he didn't slip at all! You could maybe put a towel down and sit on the bottom of the shower the first time to get used to it? So great to hear Madi is taking to the soy so well, fantastic news!

Shezi-that dummy t-shirt is great! I was thinking maybe she is old enough for a bracelet? If so, a charm bracelet with a dummy on it (the first charm, you could make up heaps of things she can get charms for) would be good? Like she had reached 'girlhood' and wasn't a baby any more?

LT-how goes the lovely chubby Monty, has he been for any more climbs lately?

Mel-Welcome! I'm sure you'll be at home here in no time. I love your girl's name too

I had the 'new parent's group' today for the first time, pretty cool! There were around 10 others there, with bubs from 3 weeks to one at nearly 6 months! (I guess she missed the earlier group). Kes was really good, a bit grizzly a couple of times but generally wonderful. Afterwards most people sat around chatting, and he dozed off! I was stunned, must have been all the checking out of other babies that tired him out. There was a gorgeous little 4 month old girl there who just grinned at everyone the whole time, very sweet. Now I just have to remember to bake afternoon tea for next week... feel free to remind me! LOL

thanks for all the support girls:hugs:

RE~ car seats you turn the seat around when bubs is 6mths of age OR reaches 70cms OR is 9kgs or over

BUT some car seats now take bubs up to 12mths so you would need to check and see if yorus is one of them

Rearward facing car seats are safer as bubs risk spinal injuries in a car accident when they are very young,in forward facing seats.

:hugs:'s Neosmum, glad it went as well as can be expected for a funeral. :hugs:.

BG - sounds like you had a great day. My MCHN told me about a mothers group around when bubs was 6 weeks old, but im no good at crowds/meeting new people so i declined, I'm too shy. I don't have a problem with 1 or two but not a whole group LOL. YIKES! :o Plus i have this image in my head of mums comparing babies, and criticising if not on par with there baby etc.. is it like that??

18-06-2007, 17:28
AD - When i went to mothers group with Amity it wasnt like that at all. It was actually nice to realise that all babies develop at their own pace! You would be surprised just how many other mums there are also shy and scared out of their brain!

BG - Sounds like you had a great day! How god of Kes to just doze off! That bracelet idea you suggested to Sheree is great! I might just have to used that myself one day! Lol, you are more than welcome to come here for a meet!!

AD- nah, didn't seem like that, as everyone's bubs were so different! And it was great to see the older ones doing stuff I can picture Kes doing in a few weeks. The good thing about a big group is you can blend in more easily I think ;) :p
By the way, not sure if you go to the city much? But if you ever wanted to catch up for coffee (I think the city is about as close to central for us as possible!) that would be great fun!

oh and i'll go halves with lana to get you over here ;) haha

looks like my brother his gf & their two little girls will be over in about 4weeks! yay! only down side is my brothers son has to stay in brissy as he lives with his mums aunty. my brother usually has him every second weekend.. now its going to be one week out of holidays and half of chrissy holidays.. atleast we'll see him 4 times a year too!

off to the CHN tomorrow.. getting D & A weighed while M's at school. then off to do our food shopping.. fun fun fun hehe.

AD some mums are like that! very much into comparing but its due to their own insecurities  you should try mothers group.. if you dont like it then dont go back :)

Would love to catch up for coffee, be good to have an morning/afternoon or day to get out of the house. What day/days suit you? I cant do anything for another 2 weeks time, as Dp is doing a training course and takes the car. But after that im free any day pretty much. Shall we organise something closer to then. I'll remind you :D.

Shezi-yeah, I think the 'fairy' aspect might be appealing, it's the kind of thing I loved as a kid.

Kind of on topic, just a nice story... but when I was about 4 or 5, my brother made up a story of a magic fish in the sea opposite our house. He'd put seaweed on himself and come out of the water and give me presents sometimes, like a beautiful heart shaped rock, and other stuff I can't remember. I kind of knew it was him, but was so wrapped up in the magic that I didn't care. Great brothers I have

Hi Girls.... still got 10 or more pages to catch up on so this is just a quickie...

Ditto with Matthew :gloomy:. I think it is because he seems to be suffering from yet another cold and is still congested etc. He seems to wake at least every hour and if I get 2 hrs in a row its like a huge sleep for me. Very very tired.... hope there is some good news re Leah sleeping better is the last 10 pages...?

BG - GREAT CAKE !!!!

We had Ryan's 4th Birthday yesterday which is why I am so far behind on BH. Great day - also did a big Thomas cake and being my first ever decorated cake it was quite exciting. Ryan just loved it and I will post a piccie when I get a minute.

Dont remember much from reading through pages, just popped on to say we have the keys to our new place :smiliedance: Locks changed today and going in tomoz to clean etc (never know how clean the prior people were!)

Well done on bubs reaching milestones. Jacey is like A Shezi, she just turns her head and doesnt roll to the side yet.

My little man is Dora mad at the moment  , pretty funny!! Keeps him sitting still though, but means no dys of our lives for me

I have forgotten to ask this before but has anyone still been dizzy at all?? I was dizzy during the pregnancy and I still get it now. I had a bad one today and felt very sick and once I have an attack I feel sick for the rest of the day. I get at least 2 per week. Going to ask for a check up at docs next week when I get Jacey's needles done. During my pregnancy I didnt have blood pressure issues or sugar issues so dont know what it could be but its def not normal is it??? I wondered whether because I'm breastfeeding if my hormones are still going crazy??

Thanks! As for the family, she had one of our Grandmas stay when each new birth approached, and made sure that they spent time with the new baby so she could hang out with her boys, other than that, there was a big focus on how much a baby depends on its older siblings, so my eldest brother is very fatherly towards me. Apparently they were so excited to have a baby sister (I was taken for show and tell :p :o) that there wasn't a problem with jealousy.

are you serious? thats so clever! my mum used to make cakes sink every flippin time. she gave up. im gonna tell her to try again and fill it with smarties lmao!
Yup, totally serious, LOL. My Mum's cakes always rise too much and split, so it's funny for mine to sink! I am quite used to my baking going funny so am getting better and better at pretending I meant it ;)

Wow! Gorgeous video, love him smiling at the tickle at the end! Can't believe he can already roll back! Kes can roll from tummy to back, but prefers it with his nappy off, has a bit of trouble when all clothed up. Jealous of your TV too!

Her length is literally off the charts in that blue book thing lol
My family though are amazons lol

I'm glad you said that, as I was thinking Kes must just be a short @rse! I'm the shorty at 176cm, and I did a calculator thingy on the internet that said Kes should end up 6 foot 1 inch I think...

Sarah- GREAT to hear you have a buyer, and the 5k cushion, phew! What a pity poor O is sick, hopefully the 4 month break will mean it doesn't affect him too badly, his voice sounds sweet though, I love husky little boys!
I have those depressing moments too, generally I'm annoyingly optimistic, but yeah, I sometimes wonder if I'd be happy with what I've done if the ride ended early...

Anna- it sounds like Sam is picking up TT very quickly! Let's hope it's a relatively painless process for you. Sucky that Leah didn't want to go back to sleep for you, are you getting any more sleep at all? She'd be due for a growth spurt around now wouldn't she?

Taryn- I still get nasty dizzy spells, the ones where it's sit down or fall down. Not nice, I get scared it will happen when I'm holding Kes, but they are reasonably rare (a couple a week) and sometimes I just need to lean on the back of the pram for a sec. Might be the feeding, do you get a funny feeling in your chest while feeding? I only get it when lying down, kind of like butterflies. No idea what it is sorry.

You wont believe this, Kes is asleeeeep!!!! I jumped on a train to do some shopping with him earlier, me freezing my nose off, but him all snuggled up in the pram, and I think it tired him out!
I also grabbed a couple of Bonds t-shirts, and 2 t-shirty hoodies for Kes at a sale, very exciting as I don't use jumpsuits so am always short of tops!

Oh LT-I got my person for the super swap, you got yours? I'm excited, but nervous, don't know what to make them!

And one more thing (I keep thinking I'm finished then remember other stuff, LOL), I entered the latest knit off again, so I'll be posting a link when voting starts if that is OK, I don't expect you all to vote for me, but fun for you to see!

Hi March Mummies

Haven't had a chance to post in the last few days, thought I'd better do it quickly while B is having his nap.

We visited a gym earlier today (for me...to put my jiggly bits back in place lol) and it was awesome. It's not very far drive from where I live and it's a women only gym with pool, spa, naturopath and most importantly a creche. The girls minding the creche are lovely, one of them has her 3m old daughter with her as well. I left B with them for around 30 mins or so when inspecting the gym and he behaved very well. Very proud of my little man. So I joined the gym and will start working out tommorrow...really looking forward to it.

LL ~ B is FF since 2 weeks old and he's not yet sleeping through. He sleeps around 6-7.30pm and wakes-up for milk around 10.30pm-12am then back to sleep until 5.30-7.30am. I have no complain though, as he understands that there is no playtime after night feeds, plus I am lucky DH is doing the night feed every night (gotta love him!)

Monty is such a dream boy, you must be really proud of him.

Shezi ~ Sorry to hear about your nephew. I hope he recovers soon. I think being a foster parents is a very noble and kind things to do

Carrie ~ glad to hear that your grandpa service went well. I hope the lovely service brought comfort for your family.

What's this about the morning bath? Does it help with bub sleep?

Sarah ~ <hugs> Glad the service went well. It must be so hard and sad, I'm sure your DH was very gratefull that you'we on his side through it.

BtW, love your new avatar. Iris is so adorable...all that thick wavy hair! Hope little O is on the mend. Re. mermaid with boobs, I guess she will be the only one having it, so at least it'll be unique!

Taryn ~ lucky you for having such a romantic husband.

BG ~ Kes is stunning as always. And what a cheeky boy he is! Happy to hear that your first moms group went well. Cake...yum!

AD ~ My moms group is quite enjoyable. It's good meeting others in the same situation. Most of my friends are still single, so it's hard to meet them with bub. I find that I'm feeling more relax when going to the moms group cause don't have to worry if B cries when chatting to other moms, cause everybody is in the same situation. We're going out for mums and bubs movies this Thursday, so that's exciting.

Good to hear that your preserverance (sp?) paid off. What a great progress A made.

Lana ~ hope you feel better now. Griff is just adorable, he looks so grown-up in your new avatar. And btw, Griff has the same bouncer as B.

Anna ~ Congratulations on taking the decision to study. It's a big decision you must be very excited about it. All the best.

Anna & R&M Mum ~ :hugs: lots of sleep dust for your little ones.

M2B ~ you must be happy able to extend your maternity leave. And glad to hear that Madi is taking on the soy well.

Mel & Erin ~ welcome to our little group!

Good news we got a buyer for the house/land and will break even with about 5 to spare so at least we are no longer going to be paying for a house we cant even live in!

NM, that's a great news!

Re. apt, sadly we couldn't find a solicitor that could do the trust thingy we want by 30 June, so we decided not to go ahead with buying the apt . Well at least we have all the finances arrange now, so next time we find a suitable apt we'll be more ready that this time.

I still get them too.. I thought that it had something to do with low iron as well... Although i could be very wrong lol! Im pretty sure the doc said that because of all the blood that is lost during birth and then for the weeks after as well, alot of people have very low iron and it can cause the dizzy spells. FGF iron tablets are the best because they have the Folic in then to help absorb the iron.

Welcome to the new mummas!

Sarah - I hope O is feeling better!

Gin - YAY for Kes being asleep! Lol, you need to take him on the train more often!

Jenny - Bummer about the apartment but as you said, at least you are ready for next time!

Caithi - Hehehe i have added Nai to my friends lol!

Griff is a bit grumpy today because we have been in and out all day and he hasnt had a proper sleep... Poor little man.

I'm only 153cm...:o

Q - for the bubs that go in the shower, how to you bath them, I am scared I will drop her but want to take her in at night to save time and plus she loves the water so much.

Carrie, that sounds great for your sis 21st, very personal and from the heart. I just checked out E's online pics, she is so cute and growing so much! Love the satin shoes too, where did you get them from?

Just hold her under the bum so she sits on your arm & wash with other hand. I don't take Ella in anymore, I get DH to do it now as she is too heavy for me to do like that. With bathing she goes in the big bath & lays on a towel. Luvs it!

Thanks Nic, the shoes are from a local baby shop here called Baby Booty. I have seen other babies wearing them though so I am certain you could pick them up elsewhere. I think the brand is Gold Bug?

OMG 6 pages to catch up on ... too bad I can't multi-quote!

Hi chicky babes.

All this talk of babies rolling over, I feel like such a bad mummy not giving toadlet any/much tummy time. I put him on his tmmy this afternoon (not using the zoo pillow) and he just lay there sucking his left hand. Then had a grizzle, I'll try to do more tommorrow.

He's discovered his right hand.. stares at it, rotates his wrist to look at the little picture on his mittens and goes cross eyed looking at it up so close.

Went for a swim yesterday, we stayed in the water for 40 minutes, he got dunked 3 times and doesn't grizzle at all.

Well done on the house Sarah, great you haven't made a loss, must be a huge relief. Glad you got through yesterday, must be very disturbing and not surprised you had bad dreams.

Mmmy2Noah.. welcome! How is Noah, I read he had problems when he was born, are his lungs all ok?

Hooray for Sam on the potty training, that's fantastic for the first day.

Oh yes!! GIN!! Can you make me a pretty cake like that? dairly, egg and gluren free please.. and green.! Talented little chick!

Caithi, how is your business going?

TIP FOR THOSE NOT REMEMBERING POSTS

I read the page and first thing I do is Reply by doing right click on reply and "OPEN IN NEW WINDOW"
That way you can write replies to each post while you are still reading.

Tazzy, I get micro dizzy spells, they last for about 2 seconds where it feels like I have blacked out for a bit. I'ver had a couple of bigger ones too but not passed out. let me know what your doc says... save me having to go see one! You can bill me 50% of the appontment.

Oh LT-I got my person for the super swap, you got yours? I'm excited, but nervous, don't know what to make them!

Got mine too Bluegin! Very excited, I thought what to do while I was lying in bed last night. Meanwhile.. I discovered today I don't know how to embroider. The sheep nappy Imade has two lopside eyes and DID have a very wonky mouth that i unpicked.. so now the sheep can't bleet.

Bmbo.. I'm really disapointed with the bumbo seat I bought, Toadlets hardly fits in it even with his small nappy. The fat baby on the box fits better than toadlet.. I'm sure the one they sent me is too small :(

Brendans Mum.. Watch out tomorrow forr the soreness! I love that feeling of being sore after excercing.

This is so funny! B has similar fascination...to the aircon. DH was crushed the other day when he realised that B was actually smiling at the aircon and not him!

That's hilarious.. I have no doubt that the toadlet loves the telescope more than me.. i learnt that very early on.

Caithi, excellent job of the myspace page... still can't believe what long legs she has.

Just handed toadlet to DP in the bath.. I was holding him naked and I said "Don't you dare ........ wee on mmmy.. good one rodent!!!"

Yep Tazzy, Dizzy spells here too, i am meant to be taking iron tablets, but i always forget. Mine too last a few seconds or sometimes a little longer, but have never passed out. Feel like i will but don't. I hate taking iron makes me constipated so at most when i remember i take every second day instead of daily. Maybe i should just bite the bullet and get constipated. LOL. So anyway due to me losing a lot of blood at c/sect, and then with lochia, and then infection. I am surprised i have any left ROFL :D.

That's what my Dr, and the midwive told me when she did the home visit. Im just naughty.

Would be interested to see if your Dr says the same tho. Seems to be a case of who and where you see one these days.

ETA: Do you think something to hold/support baby in shower with mum rather than hold with own arm/hand would be a seller? Is there such a thing?

Just wakes up grunting, feeds, then back to sleep! Both girls have had cold on and off lately and Jazz had croup a week or so ago but all is fine now.
No much else going on here....just picking tiles and stuff because we are moving back to the Sunshine Coast and back into our hose in October!! Im so excited!
Oh and finally got my tattoo done. There is a thread somewhere....!
Will go and try and catch up on posts now.

Great to hear others are dizzy (if you know what I mean), I forgot the iron tablets, oops! I'll try to remember them now as I had another spell tonight so they're more frequent.

LT-LOL, don't know how to make it green, it's actually purple yam made in to a mock icing! LOL
Sad little muted sheep, I hope he gets a mouth soon!

Shezi-When Kes wears his bonds top I'll try to remember to take a pic and tell you the size, it will be interesting to see how he compares to your littlies!

Hello Jaimie! happy Birthday Jazzy  2 years old, how exciting! Roxy sounds like she is doing well, great that she's sleeping in the day. Lovely to hear from you girly :hugs:

DH took Kes to bed so I could have a chance to wash my hair and chill, a fair bit of screaming so I went and settled him, a bit of crying then, but I'm trying to resist going in as I know he is being cuddled by his Daddy, so doesn't feel unloved, but it's still hard to hear him :(

Ok I have this page open with a reply & another open to read the thread so I can reply as I go lol & not forget anyone!

NIC - We discussed turning carseats around today at MG. The middi advised it is 9kg or 9 months, whichever comes first.

ANNA - Yes it does get exhausting! I am tempted to leave her with mum & dad one night but I bet she'll sleep right through!

MEL - Welcome! You will make some lovely friends on here. We are always here for each other to support, laugh, advice or a shoulder to cry on. I noticed you're at the Gold Coast? When we do next Bris meet you should come along. My little one, Ella was born 1 day after Ellery! (Love the name btw!). Oh & BH is ADDICTIVE!!!

LANA - Glad to hear the Perth meet went well. Was it at your place? Good that Shezi's girls wore Amity out for you too!

SARAH - Sounds like that young family will be missed by a lot of people. It must be terrible what their families are going through right now. I would've lost it myself if I saw baby coffins. Glad Iris behaved well for you & your DH got to relive some fond memories...

GIN - Glad your NPG went well! Mine finished today. You had a lot of ppl turn up. We had one couple the first week with a little girl (can't remember names), another lady, Nicole with Abbey (4 weeks older than E I think), Michelle & Matthew, Shona & Matthew. Last week it was only Michelle & me then this week, Michelle, Shona and me. The others want to be on the list to keep going to each others houses or whatever though which Shona is going to host next week. I'm not sure if I will go next week as I have a clinic appt (with the middi who ran the class as well as doing E's first 4 week check, she's gr8) at 11.30am & I wanted to go to the 3 month group which is 9.30-11.30. I'll see ... Oh & the babies always behave at NPG!

GIN & LANA - Don't forget to drop past Brisbane! HAHA...

GIN - Awesome cake! Your dh must be very proud of you, I know I am! Lol.

AD - That's the camera I want - the red one I think isn't it & it's very small?

R&M Mum - Can't wait to see Ryan's b'day pictures, especially the cake! My mum always made our cakes, we got to pick what we wanted & woila (sp?). It was the highlight. I remember my 10th one I had a roller skate cos I did figure skating. Sorry to hear you're not getting much sleep. Hopefully Matthew's better soon & you will be able to catch up. Hard to believe cos he was such a good sleeper when we met him!

SHEZI - Gorgeous pics! I would love to see some of the yummy mummies too!

OK this thread is moving fast! Everytime I go to a new page the next post doesn't make sense & I have to go back to previous & there is a post (or 2) which has obviously moved down to it! PLS stop talking for 5 mins! LOL. My post is too long!!!

LANA - Congrats to a clever Griffin!!!Unfortunatelt I don't bother even trying to watch vids on this stupid computer lol. Was weird when you said G was 4 months already! Where is the time going?!

CAITHI - Runt at 173cm?? LOL I'm 157cm so what am I then?!

About to look at Anais' myspace. I have made an address for a Windows Live Space (MSN) but every time I put a pic on & add text it freezes so nothing on it! Must do at mum's on Thurs.

SARAH - Poor O I hope he is feeling better now. Ella is no where near rolling, if I put her onto her side she'll just roll onto her back but I don't think that's on purpose lol. Congrats on the buyer!

ERIN - Welcome! Wow 2 newies in 2 days, yay! Ditto what I said above lol. Don't you have a cutey!

GUARDIANS - In our Wills we have my parents then if they are unwilling, unable or predecease us then BIL & SIL. We also stated in our Wills that under no circumstances whatsoever is MIL to have guardianship. If it wasn't in there she could challenge the Will. I recommend yous doing the same if you have any preferences & make a legal binding Will.

ANNA - Yay for Sam's tt & yay for Leah rolling!

BM - You asked about a morning bath? I have started that when she wakes up around 7.30-8am, a warm bath & a play in there for a while before her bottle. I don't know if it is a coincidence she started actually having regular sleeps during the day (feed, play, sleep) as she'd stopped that or if it is the bath that helps ... I just don't bath her at night time - she has a quick shower with dh & no play time then. OMG You're shorter than me (& Sheree)! YAY!

JAIMIE - Welcome back!! Happy 2nd b'day JAZZY!!! Hope you stick around this time. I know what u mean - i dread catching up when I have been off for like 3 days or something lol.

ME - Had a big day - NPG/MG then had to stop for petrol & had to get DD out cos couldn't park outside door. Went home, E played in cot while I vacuumed & washed/sterilised bottles then decided to trapse over to Garden City around 3pm cos my front pram tyre got a flat yesterday arvo when I went for a walk. The manufacturer is gonna send a new one out. Got excited when dug out receipt etc cos instructions had a drink tray in so said I didn't get that but it was a 'misprint'. Pooh heads. Got some nappies cheap, found a Maclaren stroller i like but still $200 on sale! No way jose! They're having a good sale, wish they had lay buy.

Ella's grabbing things on purpose & eating them all the time. Ella's also doing KISSES! So cute! You say kisses and leans towards you (me) and opens her mouth & drools on ya cheek lol.

SORRY FOR MY ESSAY!!! If you didn't chat so much I wouldn't have so much to reply to hey?

Good night! xoxo

Caithi, how is your business going?

Bmbo.. I'm really disapointed with the bumbo seat I bought, Toadlets hardly fits in it even with his small nappy.

Business = more cash urfhhhhhh BUT should be ready for launch next fRiday FFS!! Very pi##ed off at them for taking sooooooo long - had a launch date of April

Nai seems too big for it too but apparently the heavier they get the easier they fit into it?? Not sure though.

Do you think something to hold/support baby in shower with mum rather than hold with own arm/hand would be a seller? Is there such a thing?

YES!!! I wuld def buy it!!! ( can promote it though ebump if you do it!) I think its a fantastic idea!!

CAITHI - Runt at 173cm?? LOL I'm 157cm so what am I then?!

Ella's also doing KISSES! So cute! You say kisses and leans towards you (me) and opens her mouth & drools on ya cheek lol.

ok so anyone elses baby not lifting their head up for long periods while on their tummy? i definitely need to make sure A gets more tummy time. she can lift her head but not for long and she throws her arms back down by her sides instead of using her arms to help her up..

Jaimie - Welcome back! and happybirthday to Jazz! 2 years goes fast hey!

Caithi - LOVE the shrek baby pic!! Way too cute lol!
Were you looking for an australian link for this?? http://www.urbanbaby.com.au/epages/ecomm5000.sf/?ObjectPath=/Shops/UrbanBaby/Products/BNFP
Otherwise another good thing is just buying one of those small plastic storage buckets (like the ones you get at bunnings) that have long holes down the sides so that the water can drain out. A much cheaper option and you can get white ones with bright pink handles too!

Sheree - I wouldnt worry too much bout A not lifting her head, maybe try turning her onto her tummy after you change her nappy, even if just for a few minutes on her change mat.

Forgot to mention that all day at day care today Amity used the Big girl toilet!! She is self Toilet Training. She kept going to the toilet on her own whenever she needed to wee and just took her nappy off! I think it is helping her see the bigger kids use it. So they said that on friday i should just put her in knickers and pack heaps of spare clothes.. My little girl is growing up!

 Elmo... why are you up at this hour?

A has only just settled .. little turd! I think he is possibly teething. Could be wrong but im pretty sure.

Shez as for A lifting her head, A started with hands down his side, i just kept moving them to where they should be. Also i did what Elmo suggested and when i change him/his nappy i roll him onto each side and onto tummy for a few mins.
I also used a rattle etc to make him look up.

It did take a lot of effort and patience but he has got it down pat now.

ETA: YAY! Amity! Clever girl.

well done to amity on toilet training!!:smiliedance: they grow up so fast hey!

caithi ignore the 'splash shield', it sounds like a great idea but my girls have taken to throwing tubs of water over the bath edge.. a shield wouldnt make a scrap of difference lol.
loving the sit and store tub.. we just have a step so M can wash her hands.. but a storage tub would be fab! & the shampoo rinser..
avoid any toy that is a water squirter.. they fill with mould & end up in the bin. not good.

Morning ladies and babies:wave:

Feeling much better today

O sounds 100% again so I cancelled his doc. appt. BUT took iris and got her 2mth needles doen finally:o
I didnt give her panadol before hand as they say not to now...where as with O they recommended giving it 30mins prior to needles??? go figure
she screamed for about 30secs then took boobie and was fine.

My mother is driving me nuts (shes been on hols all week) BUT this morning she insisted on driving em to the docs (even though I could have walked its nto that far)
So I got myself ready, plus a screaming O and lil iris and was ready to leave....we waited in the car for a good 20mins waiting for her to blowdry her hair!!! how hard is it to get yoursefl ready, if I cant three people ready on time surely she can!
ok vent over!!!

My sister is also driving me nuts lol shes insisting on making the christening cake for iris (very sweet of her) but then she goes around telling everyone how the cake is going to take her four days to make and how hard it is :ecomcity: I feel like saying "dont bloody well make it then" coz it sounds like im making her when she offered!!! AND she chose the hardest cake to make too I might add!

My poor other sis I feel bad for as my mum cornered her df and told him my sis wasnt ready to get married and that she had emotional probolems
my mum is loco!!!

wow thats a looong me me me me me post huh oh well if you dont read it I wont blame ya's hahahahaha

just feels good to vent!

Ok yet another silly question from me:

So A sleeps as ya know from 11/12 to anywhere between 8-10am (i never let him go past 10am)

My dilema is this, i wake him at 10am for a feed, as apparently they are meant to have 5 feeds per day. I can only fit in 4. Whether he sleeps til 10am or not.

I don't want him to go to bed later than 12am.

So it's either 8am, 1pm, 6pm, 11pm, 9am, 2pm, 7pm, 12 am and if he wakes at 10 he gets his 4th bottle a little earlier so 12am.

How the hell do i get him to have 5 bottles?

He is on 200ml every 5 hrs.

Do you think its ok to only have 4, as he seems content enough, and sleeps thru so he must be getting enough... and is growing well, or should i force him to have an extra bottle somewhere in between?

Is it an absolute to have 5 feeds?

Hope that ramble makes sense.

his happy yeah? his putting on weight right?
No need to worry about the 5feeds imo:)

Im off to visit a new preschool that O will hopefully get into once he turns 3 as Im not really liking the one his at now.....they are showing their true colours iykwim

Anyhoo off to make my lil man some lunch turkey sandwhiches all round:wave:

Carrie, definitely get your hand checked out, it could be carpel tunnel, unlikely but possibley MS which you would definitely need to get treated, or more likely something very minor.

Caithi.. going to look through all those links you posted, I saw the drums... and of course have seen the froggy stuff, very cute.

Ok girls.. Deep breath in (for me). I have an announcment I'd rather not have to be saying and out of respect for DP I wont discuss the details.
My relationship with DP has finished. Frog and I will remain good friends and he'll live near by and can see toadlet when ever he likes. I want it to be amicable so Monty feels no tension when he grows up and the new situation will be "normal" for him.

It's a relief that I know I can support both the toadlet and myself financially without having to rely on Frog, but he is still doing the right thing by toadlet.

So, its a bit of a shock and I definitely hadn't expected things to end up like this but I know my decision is the right one. I'll miss my relationship with Frog cause it was a fantastic one, but hoping to have a fantastic friendship instead.

So.. I'm now the first single mummy of the march thread!

AD.. toadlet went from having 6 - 7 feeds a day to having 5 possibly 4 feeds when he slept alot.

If you are worried about him having only 4, you could wake him up for a dream feed?

Im sure if he's hungry he'll want more, and he may not be going throgh a growth spurt at the moment either.

I don't know what else to say. Cept we all love you!

Thanks babe! Is $60 bucks too much for a storage thingy? Hmmmmm not sure - uv the froggy one but ...

Will go past bunnigs today - sounds fantastic!

taken to throwing tubs of water over the bath edge.. a shield wouldnt make a scrap of difference lol.
avoid any toy that is a water squirter.. they fill with mould & end up in the bin. not good.

OMG! The things have to look forward to he he

Ok, will avoid spray toys - its hard to not get stuff cause it looks so cute but not sure wht is actually prac and whats a rip off!

LT, what a great idea to reply in a new window, never thought about that :D

Its so good to know others are dizzy, I was starting to think I had a serious health problem or something, will let you know what the doc says though!

I read a handy tip in practical parenting that said for when you shower with bub put a long sock over one arm so bub doesnt slip - I thought it was a great idea - never tried it mind you but I think that would help heaps.

Cute pics Chaithi!

Jacey is waking once a night still. Last night she had her feed at 6pm went to bed but woke up at 7pm and woudltn re settle. Anyway I had a light beer so didnt want to feed her so got 50mls of formula and she drank the whole bottle laying in her bassinet and then went straight to sleep!! So my poor little possum was hungry or thirsty. I have found when she does get a formula top up she wakes up earlier. Last night she woke at 2.30 and then 7.30 this morning.

Thats geat Lana, I am going to put Logan in day care next year as I just think it would be good for him to be around other kids etc - not looking forward to colds and things he wil bring home but still. I found out there is one going through council at the moment just around the corner of our new home so I'm trying to find out the name so I can book him in early as it will be the first centre for our area ( as it is a new development area)

Nemosmum love your avatar/pics!! very cute

AD I would just stick to the 4 feed too, easier doing 4 feeds if he is happy.

Oh LT :hugs: , we will be here for support. It is great that you and Frog are thinking of Monty and will stay good friends, sorry it didnt work out though. You are very strong and Monty is very lucky to have you as his mummy.

LT - you clever cookie! I used to open the new window but go through the whole deal of logging in again blah blah so stopped bothering.
Everythign Sarah and AD said. Real shock but sounds like its a decision you needed to make. :hugs: .

Cr*p. Now I cant remember what I read 2 pages ago to write.

Shezi - yeah I get those comments about Sam too but his hight is with his weight so its more a concern that hes not being fed enough. Hollow legs more like

Caithi - great blog! Wow look at all those milestones. You're good keeping track so well. I actaully just started a diary for both kidlets this morning. Wish I had done it earlier with Sam but had no idea how much I would forget so better late than never. Hopefully they'll enjoy it when they are older. Give themselves and insight into why mummy looks so old and hagged.

AD - there isn't such a thing that I know of but I cant say if it would be a seller or not. Dont think I'd use it personally but then Im not really a gadget kinda gal. I tend to stick to the basics.

Jaimie - where the pic of the tat? Show all!
Sorry to hear the girls have been sick. We had that bout a few weeks back. Not nice.
Happy Birthday for Jazzy too.

Gin - yip its really hard to hear but remember sometimes babies need to cry to expell energy so it may not be as bad as it seems :hugs: .

Caithi - gorgous photos! Such a darling.

Lana - congrats on amity self TTing. Yipee! Our clever big kids.

Shezi - soemtime I remember from when Sam was a baby as he hated tummy time was to roll up a towel and put it under his arms while on tummy as its more comfortable and help strengthen neck muscles. I'll try to find a photo, I know theres one somewehre.

Sarah - glad you are feeling better.
Neat photos too. Very cute in pink.
Yes I know what you mean about preschool. Im in the process of looking for another too.

AD - what they are 'supposed' to be having is a guide. If hes doing fine on 4 bottles, not grumpy, keeps sleeping, is still putting on weight then hes getting enough. If he starts getting grumpy because hes not getting enough, perhaps try shortening the intervals but honestly, if he was hungry, he would wake. I personally would give him what he wants and get him weighed in a couple of weeks to make sure the weight is still going on as it shoudl be then you'll know you're on teh right track.

Ok finally done catching up.

Sam got his haircut today. First time ever with no tears. Was more interested in his lollipop. Nothing else to report really.

Have a great day girls.

Hi All,

Had my first gym session in a loooong time and it felt great! And because B is in the creche, I had an hour workout and a long hot shower without having to worry about time. Gosh it was nice!

B was again an angel in the creche, had his bottle, did a big poo then had some play and nap. He was just awaken when I got him, and so happy to see me.

thats ok. you're still taller than Jaimie hehe. she's the shorty of our group im pretty sure shes only 150 or something..
speaking of JAIMIE where are you!?

 it's nice to know that there are other 150s in this thread.

Hi Jaimie  And happy birthday for your little girl.

Bmbo.. I'm really disapointed with the bumbo seat I bought, Toadlets hardly fits in it even with his small nappy. The fat baby on the box fits better than toadlet.. I'm sure the one they sent me is too small

Brendans Mum.. Watch out tomorrow forr the soreness! I love that feeling of being sore after excercing.

B loves his bumbo, but yeah...he only just fit in it.

I'm still feeling light and high now, but I'm sure I'll start to feel the soreness by the end of today or so (ouch!).

OK this thread is moving fast! Everytime I go to a new page the next post doesn't make sense & I have to go back to previous & there is a post (or 2) which has obviously moved down to it! PLS stop talking for 5 mins! LOL.

Hear...hear....

Lana ~ YAY for Amity's using the big girl toilet...well done! BtW, just saw your photo in MySpace link, you're so pretty.

Sarah ~ glad to hear that Iris needle went well. It must be such a relieve. I was so nervous on B's 2m needles.

Shezi / Anna ~ seems like some dr/nurse enjoy making moms worry with comments like this.

AD ~ I think it's ok to have only 4 bottles as long as A is growing well and has enough wet nappies. I believe the 'recommended' no of bottles for 4 months is 4 anyways.

Caithi ~ you're tempting me with all the cute stuffs!

Gin ~ yam cake is one of my favourite! Yum. You're so talented.

Dizzi spells ~ I have my first one in a long time on Monday. It's pretty bad that DH decided to work from home cause we don't want risking me dropping B. I still have half a box of Elevit, so maybe I'll start drinking it again as multivitamin.

I have been thinking about routines a bit lately and found an old post of mine that I thought some might be interested in for later:

My son has had this routine since 6 months old when he started formula:

7.00am Bottle (no matter what time he wakes which is usually around 6-6.30)
8.00am Breaky
9.00am sleep
11.00am (or later depending on sleep) Bottle
12.30pm Lunch
2.00pm Sleep
3-4pm (whenever wakes) Bottle
5.30pm Dinner
6.30pm Bath
7.00pm Bottle
7.30pm Bed

I found this routine so good but this week have changed his morning by swapping the first bottle with Breaky, as health nurse said they should be having meals first (as he is over 9 months old) and I have found he eats alot more for breaky now which is good. Basically his bottles were at least four hourly except for the last one as sometimes he would sleep for 2 hours in the afternoon but I still kept the bedtime bottle the same (if that makes sense )

His 2 naps would be around 3.5 hours in total which gave me plenty of time to do housework etc.

I'm trying to see what I did at 4 months old!!

Just lost my post cos everything froze & had to restart computer. Gay ...

Well it's freezing here today. I actually have trackies on, t-shirt, long sleeve shirt & big jumper. Ella has a singlet suit, wondersuit, jumper & I just put long pants on her as well! Amazing ... Last week we were in short sleeves ...

Hung some washing on the line tho cos I spilt boiled eggs on my sleeping bag which i have unzipped & use as a double blanket on the couch so had to wash other things like my fave jeans, top & jumper so hopefully the clouds don't amount to rain & my clothes dry soon from the winds - 90km per hour!!

E didn't have a bath this morning but still sleeping a little between feeds, just not as much, interesting.

CAITHI - Glad Nais luv'd her big girl bath! Luv the pics too, very cute ... I don't have pain in my tricept or anything like that but i do get tingly shoulders & have a back prob on my right hand side ...

LANA - That's gr8 Amity is tt herself! Less work for you hey!

SHEZI - E doesnt stay down for long, getting better tho. She is strong & nearly rolled this morning when she was on her tum. I always place her hands in the right posy but she doesn't usually lift using her hands & I think uses her back? Also I have started putting something under her front, a folded blanket or something & since then she hasn't minded it & is stronger without it too. At home i use the bed head from the Gossamer Wings set folded in half with a clothy over the top for spew lol. I also put the overhead thing with toys on it from her WTP play mat/gym for her to look up to as it has a mirror on it.

AD - What is the swing/high chair? I saw some high chairs at TRU yesterday I liked but so exy!

SARAH - Nurse told me off for giving E panadol before hand cos it shields the type of injection or something now. Glad O is better. Sorry your mum & sis are driving you insane. Of course you can vent on here, that's what we're here for hun. Cute pics Miss Iris!

AD - I can't believe A goes so long between feeds & has such great sleeps! Lucky you! I don't think it matters how many feeds he has as long as he is growing which I think he is doing just fine. E has abuot 5 or 6 depending - these are approx times btw - 3/4am, 8/9am, 11.30, 2.30, 5.30, sometime an extra one in there if times are different or skips one but u get the idea.

HOLLIE - I didn't see that one coming going off previous posts. You are a very strong independent woman and a fantastic mother & I am certain you will succeed no matter what. I want to thank you for trusting in us to tell us. We are always here as you know if you want or need to talk (type!). I am sure your friendship will be as special as the relationship you had & I am glad it ended on friendly terms & the most important is you both put Monty Toadlet first. Hugs your way hun xoxoxo

ANNA - Luv your new avy too! I have been opening a new window to reply in as well. I never have to log on anyway cos I added the page to my faves (the one after you log in) so I just click the link.

BM - Glad your workout went well. I am proud of gym mummies, I'm not much of a gym person myself - would much rather spend the money walking around the shops all day! LOL. I have gone for a couple of walks in the afternoons but didn't get to go today cos of this weather. I am hoping to start walking to my SIL's in the afternoons I don't have car & dh can pick me up after work & take me home. Eventually I'll be able to walk the all up-hill walk home. It'd prob take half hour to walk there I'd say. And there's a reward at the end of it - a friendly face, a gorgeous niece, a comfy couch lol.

JAIMIE - Glad to see you're still here lol. How do you search for a thread? I might just go to your profile & find it.

Have a good night everyone. So bloody cold here! Hope it's better tomorrow as going out. xoxo

Carrie-I love walking to get places, but facing the walk home...:o don't like that bit! LOL

Sarah-gorgeous new avi, I'll have to come to Sydney soon to hug that lil sweety pie for myself ;)

Caithi-you made me spit on my screen! I laughed so hard when I saw your Shrek-ette, such a cute girly.

Hi Erin, sorry I missed your introduction before! Looking forward to getting to know you.

Jaimie-I love the tat, I remember seeing that thread and thinking "boy is she brave!"
I'm thinking of getting a "K" somewhere, but can't decide where... I think DH is going to get Kes's portrait on his arm, should look lovely.

LL-yes, you have a lot to be happy about! Do you have big plans?

Kes and I went to Mum and Dad's today, don't know how but it took 2 hours to get there (usually takes 1!), nice day hanging with them, Kes just loves getting Grandma hugs (grins when he sees her) and Dad does bird calls for him which has him fascinated! He nearly climbs right of your lap trying to get to him, LOL

Carrie-yep he's proud of his wifey, the girls at his work tease him (in a joking way) because he is apparently always talking about me and the stuff I do, very nice to hear!

Jenny-We also had just plain Ube moulded and glazed, have you ever had it like that? My favourite thing ever is Ube ice-cream, *drool*

**EDIT: Shezi, here's the pic of him in a size 00 Bonds top, he actually isn't as big as I thought, LOL http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v671/Edmund1/walker.jpg
aww bg, Kes is gorgeous!! definitely bigger than A

well my girls didnt sleep today.. they went to bed at 7 which is normal time too. D didnt even get tired.. my kids are weird lol. anyway they went straight to sleep no probs so thats good! and A was asleep by 7.30 :D chris is in bed too. i am loving the quiet!!

had to have showers at mums today coz our hot water system has a hole in one of the pipes.. bugger hey. its getting fixed tomorrow. spoke to the owner as he likes me to let him know whats going on and he said he's thinking of selling in jan/feb and as of next month i think i'll be renting privately from him instead of through the real estate.. he said they charge him $150 a month.. i was like  thats nearly a whole weeks rent! i only pay $195 a week! so anyway i suggested to do it privately and his contract with them is up next month so he's all for it. he's such a lovely guy.
i wish we could buy this place but no chance unfortunately.. my parents are thinking of getting it as an investment tho so that'd be the perfect solution short term. otherwise its moving time next year for us..

sarah thats great news re Orlandos new school!

Lana i hope your kiddies let you have a nice sleep in!

BG,... I LOVE your baby!

Monty is a size 0 in Bonds.

:hugs: THanks matey! I just realised Monty is a whole 3 weeks older than Kes, I wonder if Kes will catch up in that time? I bought him one in 0 too so I'm ready! LOL

Gin - LOVE the pic of Kes, he looks gorgeous and i love his longies!! Where did u get that pattern from??

Thanks! It's the Tinybirds free pattern, not sure if we are allowed to link from here, but I know it's available on Google (I always forget to bookmark it :o). It also makes cute shorts, that's what I've entered in the knit off.
Sounds like a tiring day for you, driving around always drains me, hope you get a good nights sleep!

Shezi-what size Bonds tops is A in? :fingerscrossed: It isn't eczema, and is just a temporary thing, poor little chicken. SO upsetting having children in pain, I never knew how bad it would be!
Sounds like a much better idea renting straight through him if he's nice, and how cool would it be renting from your parents! Much nicer knowing the money would be going to them

I think I'll try an early night, just waiting for the blankets to warm up... can't believe I'm choosing to go to bed before 10pm, what a change...

Shezi-what size Bonds tops is A in?
000's  i bought her a 00's bonds outfit and it swam on her! but she's getting there with the help of our dryer as i tend to shrink her clothes.. lol. she is in 00's bonds grosuits.. she's so chubby :D

im really hoping its not eczema too. D gets patches every now and then that we think might be flare ups but never anything like this. she does have sensitive skin tho. A's isnt really bad tho.. only like 3 sections on her chest and tummy about the size of 20cent coins and a couple on her back a little smaller. she doesnt whinge about it but i want to get on top of it before it gets worse..

yep lana i love it when chris is asleep :smiliedance: dont know why but i feel like im a mother of 5 when he's awake. lmao!

bg i was so close to going to bed at 8. it seems to be calling me coz i am freezing! we dont have a heater or anything coz i refuse to buy one unless its the kid safe ones.. but they're like $1000 so aint gonna happen anytime soon! but i just put socks on instead hehe.

anyway off to watch the rest of house then off to bed. goodnight all!

Finding it hard to sleep.

MAMMOTH POST....

Something that I found on-line and thought it looked like fun....

From birth, your baby prefers to look at a human face above all other objects. Something about the eyes, nose, and mouth attracts your baby's attention. Finger Face is based on that fascination.

Materials:•Knit glove
•Scissors
•Your hand
•Colorful felt-tip pens
What to do:
1. Cut the fingers off a knit glove.
2. Using felt-tip pens, draw a face in the middle of the glove's palm. Make the eyes and mouth large, bright, and colorful.
3. Slip the glove onto your hand.
4. Hold your baby in your lap and turn the glove face toward him.
5. Now wiggle your fingers and move the face around slowly so your baby can enjoy his new Finger Face friend, who can help you sing songs, tell stories, or just chat.
Handy Clap *
Developing eye/hand coordination takes time, but if you watch your baby carefully, you'll see her beginning attempts to control those tiny hands. Fun fingerplays can help your baby work on motor skills.
Materials:•Soft blanket or an infant seat
•Fingerplays, songs, and rhymes
•Your hands and baby's hands
What to do:
1. Lay your baby on a soft blanket or sit her upright in her infant seat, and sit close by so she can see you.
2. Sing or chant songs and rhymes while you play with your baby's hands and fingers. Try one of the following Handy Clap games:

Pat-A-Cake
Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker's man, (clap your baby's hands)
Bake me a cake as fast as you can; (repeat clapping)
Roll it (roll baby's hands) and pat it; (pat baby's hands)
Mark it with a B. (draw a B in the middle of baby's hand)
Put it in the oven for baby and me. (gently poke baby in the tummy)

If You're Happy
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. (clap baby's hands)
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. (clap baby's hands)
If you're happy and you know it, then your hands will surely show it. If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. (clap baby's hands)

Whoops! Johnny!
(Start by spreading your baby's fingers open.)
Johnny (touch your baby's baby fingertip),
Johnny (touch baby's ring finger fingertip),
Johnny (touch next fingertip),
Johnny (touch next fingertip),
Whoops! Johnny! (slide your finger down in between the forefinger and the thumb, then repeat going backwards)
Whoops! Johnny! Johnny, Johnny, Johnny.
Mouth Music *
Bet you didn't know you had a whole music machine right in your mouth! Your baby loves to hear a variety of noises, and your mouth is just the instrument necessary to make a perfect symphony.

Materials:•Your mouth, tongue, teeth, and lips
1. Hold your baby in your lap, facing you so he can see your face clearly.

2. Begin making noises with your mouth, such as
* Kissing and smooching

* Clicking your tongue
* Making raspberries with your tongue
* Blowing your lips like a motorboat
* Growling, squealing, gurgling, cooing
* Whistling, singing, humming
* Making animal sounds, such as a duck, dog, cat, horse, cow, pig, chicken, rooster, monkey, snake, bird, donkey, or wolfBubble Bath *
Bath time is fun for most babies, although some don't seem to like the water. But no matter what kind of reaction you get from your baby, you can make bath time more fun by adding a few baby bubbles while you wash.
Materials:•Soft washcloth
•Plastic baby tub
•Baby no-tear bubble bath
•Towel
What to do:
1. Lay a washcloth on the bottom of your baby's plastic tub to help keep your baby from sliding around.
2. Fill the tub with warm water and add a small amount of baby bubble bath solution.
3. Place your baby into the tub, holding her securely at all times to gain her trust.
4. Sit your baby up so she can safely enjoy the bubbles and splash the water if she wants.

5. Wash your baby's body parts while singing “This Is the Way We Wash”:
This is the way we wash our face,

Wash our face, wash our face.
This is the way we wash our face, Baby (name) and Mommy.Continue the song with “...clean our neck,” “...rub our chest,” “...scrub our back,” “...bathe our arms,” “...soap our legs,” “...tidy our toes,” and so on.

Tootsie Roll *
Your baby needs months to gain full control of her body movements, but you can assist her during those early weeks with a game of Tootsie Roll. By four to six months your baby will have mastered the rollover!

Materials:•Soft blanket or towel
•Soft floor surface
What to do:
1. Place a soft blanket or towel on a soft surface.
2. Lay your baby down on the blanket, on her tummy.
3. Pick up one side of the blanket and slowly raise it, causing your baby to tilt to the side.
4. Continue to slowly roll your baby over, talking to her as you go, and using a hand to spot or guide her as she turns.
5. When your baby turns over, show your delight.
6. Repeat until your baby is tired of playing.
Tummy Talk *
Your baby begins learning speech and language long before he utters his first word. Besides talking to your baby, try a little Tummy Talk. It makes speech and language a sensory experience.
Materials:•Your mouth
•Soft blanket
What to do:
1. Remove your baby's clothes (diaper optional) and place him on a blanket, on his back
2. Kneel down beside your baby, chat for a moment, and gently rub his tummy.
3. Now it's time for Tummy Talk. Press your face and lips onto your baby's tummy, and talk, sing, recite a nursery rhyme, or just make up funny words. Vary the pitch and loudness of your voice as you speak.
4. Add a few kisses each time you finish your words.
5. Sit up and smile at your baby after each Tummy Talk. Your baby should be giggling while you play and anticipating the next ticklish chat.
All Gone! *
Since your baby is new on the planet, he spends much of his time trying to figure out his environment. Help him by playing a game of All Gone!
Materials:•Soft, colorful toys
•Blanket, towel, or cloth
What to do:
1. Collect several soft, colorful toys, and place them out of sight.
2. Seat your baby comfortably in his infant seat and sit opposite him.
3. Bring out a toy and show it to your baby. Hold the toy close to your face and talk to your baby, to attract his attention.
4. While your baby is watching, cover the toy with a cloth.
5. Say to your baby, “All gone!”
6. Wait a few seconds, then uncover the toy and happily announce, “Here it is!”
7. Repeat with different toys.
Happy Feet *
One of your baby's favorite toys is his feet! They're soft and wiggly, and close at hand. And they feel funny when they're touched! Have fun with Happy Feet as you combine nursery rhymes with toe touching.
Materials:•Soft blanket
•Words to songs and nursery rhymes
•Your fingers and your baby's toes
What to do:
1. Choose a favorite nursery rhyme that can be played with your baby's feet and toes.
2. Lay your baby on a soft blanket and kneel beside him so you can reach his feet.

3. Play one of the following Happy Feet games:
This Little Piggy

This little piggy went to market, (wiggle the big toe)
This little piggy stayed home, (wiggle the second toe)
This little piggy had roast beef, (wiggle the third toe)
This little piggy had none, (wiggle the fourth toe)
And this little piggy cried, "Wee, wee, wee!" all the way home! (wiggle the baby toe)
Gobble Gobble
Wee wiggle, (wiggle baby toe)
Two tickle, (wiggle next toe)
Three giggle, (wiggle next toe)
Four sniggle, (wiggle next toe)
Five-gobble! (pretend to gobble up your baby's foot)
Pitty Pat Pony
Pitty pat pony, (pat the soles of your baby's feet)
Look at her toes. (hold baby's feet and wiggle them)
Here a nail, there a nail, (poke the bottom of baby's feet)
Gid-up and go! (pat the soles of your baby's feet again).

Wiggle Worm *

When your baby’s feet press against a solid surface, she stretches out her legs. This is called the “walking reflex.” Use this reflex to help your baby practice for crawling.
Materials:•Soft, nonslippery floor surface
•Colorful toy
What to do:
1. Place your baby on a soft floor, on her tummy.
2. Place a colorful toy a few inches from your baby’s head and call her attention to it.
3. Sit behind your baby, with your legs or hands pressed against her feet. Your baby will push against the pressure, causing her to propel a few inches forward, toward the toy.
4. Keep moving the toy and pushing against your baby’s feet until she has inched forward and covered some ground.
Baby Massage *
Your baby begins to respond to touch immediately after birth. The first welcome your baby receives is the tactile comfort of your touch as you hold him. Provide your baby with a Baby Massage so he can delight in the pleasure of your soothing hands.
Materials:•Blanket or towel
•Baby lotion
What to do:
1. Spread a blanket or a towel on a soft carpet.
2. Place your naked baby on the blanket, on his tummy.
3. Pour a little baby oil into your hands and rub your hands together to warm up the oil.
4. Gently massage your baby from his neck to his shoulders, down his arms to his hands, down his back to his buttocks, down his legs, and to his feet. Use a gentle touch, not too firm and not too light.
5. Turn your baby over on his back and repeat, using more oil.Wiggle Worm *

Morning, very quickly cos i wanted to leave at 9am but so not happening as got on here & still on here & haven't had a shower or anything lol. Ella had her bath & bottle before 7am though as we had to take dh to work so I could have the car. Off to get E's swing off laybuy first & formula, then to mum's where she will look after E while I get eyebrows done (we have birth class reunion on Saturday) & we'll go to the scrapbook shop so I can get the stuff for E's door hanger, Mandi's tin & frame. I will post pics when I do them. Never done those before, it's called Beyond the Page. I will ask the lady in there about how to do the tin properly.

Ella's snuggled up on my lap with her 'bunny' (a bunny head with a blanket attached which is fleece - the softest ever! - on one side, silk on the other), her dummy & a beannie on. Cute. I showed her the bunny this morning & she reached out for it, touched/felt it & liked it on her face & she hasn't let go! Uh oh ... another bunny-a-holic! I had one & hated it, used to chuck it out the pram so my sis got it instead & she still has what's left of it. "Bunny" has had so many adventures including being thrown out by accident cos a cleaner at a hotel thought it was a piece of rag cloth lol. Mum went back & searched through the big wheelie bins & found him just as the truck turned up! Close call ...

LT - Glad you had a good cry together, hope it helps.

GIN - Cute pic of Kes! E has that jumper in pink & white stripes (00 too) but hasn't worn it yet as only got it last week or on weekend. They are fleecy & warm hey, nice. I luv his knitted pants! Did you make them?

Oh just saw you did lol.

LANA - Hope you are not too tired today!

SHEZI - We really wuold love to buy this house too then renovate the tiny kitchen & laundrey. I love this house. We rent through a RE Agent though but the owner is lovely & apparently owns day care centres throughout NSW. So at least he prob won't mind when we need to install gates etc in a few months time! PITA moving though hey? Espesh you with all your kids' toys! You'd miss living next to your parents too wouldn't ya?

I bidded on ebay for the first time last night & this morning on a gorgeous pink stroller but not bidding anymore as up to $70 or over plus $25 postage but it's just over $100 brand new so not bidding anymore. Very disappointed! It's a new fangled aluminium(?) frame one. Cute as & folds into a back pack.

REALLY have to go now & get ready - I'm slack but it's too cold lol.

Oh SARAH - I was worried about E being too cold & I had her in a singlet suit, wondersuit & bonds sleeping bag suit then under the sheet & blankets & she had I think a heat rash in the morning. Yesterday I was freezing & I was wearing t-shirt, long sleeve shirt & jumper & she had wondersuit & thin jumper but she seemed to have the rash again. I don't understand cos I was still cold & thy're meant to have an extra layer to you. Maybe it wasn't heat rash? It looked like what A had in Shezi's pic.

Ok gtg.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LL - HAPPY SLEEPING! XOXOXO

Sarah, that must make you feel fantastic seeing O and Iris like that.
That's exactly what Monty does, but with the telescope.

Hmmm.. Keanu Reeves.. trying to think who I like,
Oh yes.. Gregory Peck. TOTALLY in love with him, except he's decomposing.

Those things sound great Caithi. I'll try some today.

Ok, I had the crappiest nights sleep last night. I was chatting to my Dad via email in Canada. He's moving over here and I'm going to get a 3 bedroom place with him. We get on really well and it would be fun living with him. He's just had a relationship split too.

He suggested buying a place rather than payig $600+ i rent a week. Not 100% sure I could afford a mortgage though.

I had second thoughts last night about splitting up with Frog and wanted to be certain. I gave him an opportunity to save the relationship but he couldn't come through. I know now I've made the right decision and have since found stuff this morning to back it up. So now I've gone from feeling sensible and rational to feeling like a f'ing idiot and utterly heart broken.

Toadlet is awake. good little Monty slept 11 hours 40 last night and just did 3 .5 hours after that.

~HAPPY BIRTHDAY LL~
I hope you're still in bed!

LT it must be very hard that he couldn't come through after you gave him a chance, I guess at least you know now you're doing the right thing?
How wonderful that your Dad is moving back, he sounds like such a great friend to you, and living together could be awesome!

Sarah-Keanu eh? Nice ;)
I'll take Jonny Depp thanks... or Luke Wilson, yummo! Poor DH, he calls Wilson my 'boyfriend', and once I actually referred to him as that in front of people... oops! :o

Carrie-the top Kes is in is thin t-shirt material, does it come in a jumper? I hope so! He needs more jumpers, they take ages to dry in this weather and he is such a drool factory lately. I sometimes wish he'd be happier in the wondersuits so his poor tumtum wasn't bare!
That bunny sounds so cute, have fun trying to remove it to wash, LOL
I hope you've gotten away for the day, it takes so long with a littlie in tow doesn't it!

Emma-love your avi, this weather is pretty rough hey? What temps are you guys getting down to? I think Melbourne has been around 13-16 during the days.

Sarah, they sound like such a loving pair! Must just make you melt seeing them together... I know what you mean about Kes' lips, they are so gorgeous, but I can't stand it when the bottom one sticks out when he is going to cry, it is heartbreaking and I often have a tear or two with him :o
I wish I got woken up with such a lovely smiling baby! Mine only wakes to grunt and grizzle for food, LOL, men eh? Who'd have 'em? :p

ok Iris has started doing the cutest thing when she sees O, her eyes start darting and her mouth opens wide then grins and starts cooing at him......gosh its so cute to see them together

Its like O just stops still and becomes this mushy gushy loving big bro and speaks softly to her and kisses her oh so gently

AND Iris gets all excited and laughs and coos

Oh just love it!!!

I know exactly how you feel - Jacey actually giggles out load at Logan now - so cute. I love how she watches him and gives him BIG smiles as well. I think Logan and her will be very close.

:hugs: LT, thinking of you.

Well had a fight with SIL (who is my bestfriend) this morning so not a good start to the day. She is planning on having a bub with her boyfriend who she only just got back with after a very rocky break up!! Its been 10 weeks and she says that they are happy and secure so they want a bub (she has a toddler already - diff father). Anyway SO much more to the story but I just said that I wasnt happy it was so soon and she didnt like that. Of course I'm happy if that is what she wants but just thought she could've waited 6 months of something to be sure. She always jumps in to everything and doesnt think things through. DH agrees with me (its his sister) and he thinks she is crazy but we can only be here for her in the end. We did sort it out though. She will know if she is pregas in a week!! I'm excited about becoming an Aunty again just dont go much on her boyfriend!!

happybirthday LL, hope you have a great day. I turn 30 next year and just like you I feel like I have everything I have ever dreamed of so am not dreading the day!

WOW its so cold here too!! Cant believe how cold it is. Well we dont have heating on but I'm wearing trackies and a t-shirt :D

Had terrible night -Logan was up from 1.30am to 4.15am this morning (fed Jacey somwhere in that time too). At least his two top eye teeth have now cut through just need them to come down.

Hey girls,

Thanks for your lovely comments on Leahs eyes. Very proud mumma of my little girl.

Lana, funny you should say that about the shot gun, the first words Marc said to her were "you are going to cause me sooo much grief!"

Shezi, bummer about the hot water. Dont know how Id cope without mine in the middle of winter. Not good about no sleep either! Hope the eczema clears quickly. Leahs still in 000 bonds tops too so dont worry - I have a little bubba too!

Gin, Kes's pants are gorgous! Such a stunning boy.

LL, VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! 30's a wonderful age I thought. Have fun over the weekend. Sounds like your familys having a fun day..... not! Funerals and operations.

LT, :hugs: :hugs:

Caithi, LOL, some of those things are so cute!

Sarah, Leah is so into Sam too. Its gorgous to watch. When shes crying he pats her and says "its ok Leah its ok" or "I know Leah I know".

Taryn, ouchy for the eye teeth. They are supposed to be the most painful and I'll vouch for that. Sams were shocking. He got absesses with both.

Nothing new from me. Blood cold today. Lit the fire last night and stoked it when I got up to leah both times in the night so that the house was a little warmer than it would have otherwise been when the kidlets got up. Went to a playcentre with a friend this moring. Was fun.

Have a good day girls.

Remember how i plumbed the hot water to my sink? Well I was embarassed to admit it but a small leak started a few days later so I asked a plumber to come check the connections. He said they were fine, so I said to just check and tighten each one for me so I could sleep soundly without imagining waking to a flood! Cost an arm and a leg but I was happy.
Anyway, the leak continued (that's when I thought my washing machine was leaking) so I asked them to come back, and it has all gone pear-shaped.
Anyway, I started a thread about it here:

but thought I'd jump in here where I made such a big deal about how clever I was and admit my stupidity to you all! :o

Kes must have realised I was upset as he has been screaming like a banshee for the last hour :( Poor little chook, he hasn't cried this much often in his little life.

Anna ~ Leah is such a smart girl she can roll already. She's just adorable.

B hasn't shown any sign of rolling yet. Whenever we put him on his tummy he's more interested in moving forward rather than rolling. The other day he's having tummy time in his portacot (with rolled up blankie under his chest) while I'm doing some dishes nearby. I saw the top of his head moving up and down then sometimes later frustrated cry, so I came around and found that he's moved forward and the blankie was above his knees. It must have taken him a lot of effort cause the little guy is sweating all over.

Taryn ~ thanks for the routine. B is currently on a rough routine and I find it easier that way (compared to the time before he's on a routine). BtW, what meal do you start Logan on when he first started solid?

Carrie ~ the weather is freezing in here too. It's so hard to decide what to dress B, so at the end I got him the grobag sleeping bag & egg thermometer (which I put on his bed to get the exact temperature...I am anal I know). He seems happy with it although I dress him slightly more than the recommendation, cause long sleeve bodysuit (without legs) + the tog 1 bag for 22C seems a bit too little. He wears a romper instead.

Sarah ~ glad to hear that you've found a wonderful pre-school for O. It must be such a relief as I heard it's not easy to find a good one. One of the mom in my mother group told me the other day about a childcare/pre-school her friend's son attends. They're very commercial and always wanted extra $ for activities or else they'll exclude the child from that activity (like if they have a clown coming to the place, the child will not be playing with him). I think that's very cruel.

Gin ~ unfortunately I haven't tried the glazed yum. Would you send a piece here please? :)
I agree that ube ice cream is divine. When still living in Melbourne, I used to get it from Asian groceries on the corner of Russell & Lt Bourke. They also have red beans and corn (yup corn) ice creams...<salivating>.

Kes is so handsome as always. And what a stylish pants...lucky him to have a talented mumma like you. B has the same bonds hoodie (in 0) and the matching purple pants with green lining in 1!

Shezi ~ sorry to hear about the eczema. BtW, how does it look like? B has a small red patch near (a bit raised) his nose, just wonder if I should get it checked out.

A is so petite! Love the dryer idea

LL ~ your birthday plan sounds wonderful. Enjoy the day in bed, it'll be awesome!

LT ~ sending you lots of hugs. It must be very hard for you right now, but I'm happy that you're sure that you made the right decision, at least you can focus on going forward. Buying an apt this time is actually not such a bad idea, price is reasonable and rental market is quite high (you could rent it easily if there's change of plan later). Not sure about buying it together with your dad though (I assume this was what he's proposing?).

Caithi ~ thanks for sharing the play tips. Like Lana I do the bubble bath one too, singing about washing (and later on drying & massaging) B's body parts. I actually think he starts to anticipate its sequence, cause he'll be super excited when I finish massaging his tummy cause the next one is tummy time and back massage.

Monty & Iris ~ well done for being so nice to your moms.

On Idols ~ my biggest crush was with...George Michael! Silly to think about it now, wouldn't want to say it out loud.

Emma ~ nice to hear from you again, how are you? Love Cooper's new picture in your avatar.

Moms with >1 kid ~ love the melting moments. You guys made me want another one (did I just say that?)

:hugs: Gin, it's not nice at all. I can understand how worry you are about the leak cause we had (hot water) leak once in Melbourne and it humidified the whole apt & carpet.

And hope Kes settles soon :hugs:
