blood loss (may be tmi)

OMG! this might be tmi but i just woke up and went to the toliet and i lost a huge clot, it has been 15 days since my c-section. i have heard of retained product what is it??? can anyone tell me if they have ever experienced this?

This happened to me after all my births. I went to emergency at the hospital and they sorted it out. Retained product is parts of the placenta that stay inside your uterus. They can cause infection and a lot of pain if they are not removed. Maybe see your Dr tomorrow or go to the hospital if you are really worried.

thats the thing i am in absolutley no pain a little period pain last week i was up at the hospital regarding something else and they wanted to do a ultrasound to see if there was any excess fluid on my scar or something and the sonographer looked at my uterus and asked me if i was still bleeding i said yes and that is all that was said it was worrys me becasue sometimes it is not clots it is more like a brown mucus stuff (sorry that it so gross lol), but then like today it was yuk i had to get into the shower to clean myself up, im not sure whether to just leave it a couple of days or get to the doctors

What you've described sounds very similar to what I had after my c/s.
It never hurts to check it out with your GP or whoever of you're worried about it :hugs:
