any brissy playgroups???

Hello all,
I am looking for a playgroup in brisbane for my 1 year old son Cody. Does anyone know of a group who meets regulary or would anyone in the bribane southside area be interested in starting up a new group????

Hi Bec,

I live at Parkinson with my hubby and 20month old daughter, Emily. I know there is a playgroup at Algester - I think it's in the Anglican or Uniting Church hall on Algester Road. From memory they have 4 playgroups on different days of the week. I took Emily when she was about 13mths, but decided not to join as Emily didn't get much out of it - she was the youngest and all the kids were alot older than her so didn't really play with her. At the same time, someone mentioned to me that the YMCA at Acacia Ridge runs a playgroup kind of thing. I took Emily along to try it and she loved it. They have outside play, followed by morning tea and inside play and craft. Then they finish off with a story. It runs during school terms and we really enjoy it.

there is ayoung mums group at windsor for mums under 23...
they have two groups.. one for mums with babies under 1 and one for mums with babies over... which you can attend until you turn 23...

i dont know if that is what you were after or not... if they are ring the young parents program... they are the ones who run it..

I live in Runcorn and go to the one there...behind Runcorn train station. It runs every Mon, Wed and Fri.

There is a group of us who have a get together of mums on the southside at Browns Plains once a month. Most mums can't make it more than that and it is growing too big to do it all the time. Anyone who lives on the southside and wants to meet other mums and bubs on that side of town just pm me. Our next monthly meet isn't until next month now but I can pm you with the details. Everyone is friendly.
