in my babysitting experience you cant go past the basic kitchen stuff for bath time... kids love cups (watch the bubbles though - cause they do tend to sip from the cups at times)... strainers.. funnels.. plastic bowls... - ANYTHING that water can fall through or into!!!!

one family I worked for used a kids sized tea set (the water was fun to pour form the teapot into the cups!!!) - and a small watering can...

their bathroom was always fairly ummm wet :) but the kids had a ball!!!!

If you type in bath paints or similar into google, usually some recipes will show up. You can paint on the bath with them and they won't stain (i haven't tried them yet so i can't vouch...). My mum bought some soap based ones for DD1 a while ago from a clearance shop and i don't know where you'd get them now, though i think i saw something similar at toyworld months back?

good thinking shazbutt :) hadn't thought of paint...

I think for awhile there you could even get bath crayons from crazy clarks -

the other thing to think about is that roll on soap you can get from avon... it usually is out at Christmas time (buggar hey) - but they may do an easter one too ??? my brother and I loved it - you roll it on and you can 'paint' on yourself - but then it just washes off!!

Have to agree with veve....can't go past plastic containers etc. My DD slowly lost interest in her usual toys.

I have just given her another bath activity toy today. Very cute, it has a slippery dip and three little animals with it. She wouldn't get out of the bath!

But, she still has her plastic kitchen containers and loves them too. :)

Theres a shop called Kids Central (i think thats the name) and they have a bath shower! It sticks with suction caps onto the side of the bath and has a clear tube that sucks water up and when u press the button it is like a shower! It gets kids used to water on their face!

DS has always loved palying with empty shampoo bottles. I just give them a bit of a rinse to get the last of it out, coz he had a habit of squirting himself in the eyes for a while, then throw them in the bath :D DS usually has a bath while I was in the shower so I really do throw them from the shower to the bath for him :D After a few days throw them out and give them a new one next time
