Ok might seem a little early, but i've picked the names for a boy or a girl.
No middle name yet...
Alexander
or
Madison
I'm pretty traditional when it comes to names so I hope you like them. :)
They're cute names ;)
I prefer traditional names too, I HATED having a 'unique' name growing up (Amelise), much prefer the nickname Dad gave me; Amy, or even the name mine is based on, Amelia.
Picking names for bub is so hard, Because once you've choosen they're stuck with it! :D
Amy
They're both lovely names and I know a few people with these names and they're all lovely!

I also like taking a name from one of the grandparents and making that the surname (ie, if I have a girl, she will be Sarah Louise - Louise is my Mum's middle name -- if I have a boy, Harry Robert and Robert is DH's fathers name)

Love Em'!!
My youngest sister is Maddison, and my other sisters middle name is Alexandra, the female version of Alexander....
Love Madison especially though, would have named one of our DD's that if it wasn't my sis's name already.....
i like both of them, although i know heaps of Madisons, it is very popular atm. i loved thinking of names straight away as well, even before i was pregnant, lol :)

Same here, I have already chosen a boys and girls name and I'm not pregnant yet!! I think as time goes on, I might change my mind about the names I've already chosen:)
BTW, love both Madison and Alexander!

I love both of them, and they sound nice shortened too - Alex and Maddie...
i like both of these :D
My nephews middle name is alexander, and Madison made my short list of girls names too !
I found it so hard naming my 3rd bub... how are you doing it naming your 8th child!!!!
They are both very nice names moonblossom.:)

yeah i know what you mean!
i couldnt think of any names, then once i was set on a particular name, i could think of heaps, then couldnt decide which 1 to use!
DF has mentioned trying for a boy.. and it would matter to me if i had another gil as i have a few name i want to use up!! haha
oh sorry for all the typo's in my last post!
i was quickly typing it as i had to go get bub, now im hands free again and i noticed how bad it was
except it wont let me edit it!
oh well, u know what i mean hehe
I really liked those names. I am a teacher and am finding it very hard to pick names.
I am going to use the same theory as Ally84 for middle names. if a boy DH first name for a middle. and if a girl my middle ( and mum's) middle name for her middle name.

Thanks guys. YUp I think its either one of those.
Thanks for yur input, they may be a bit boring but I dunno, they just seemed RIGHT to me :)
they are not boring at all, they are lovely names :)
although i had my heart set on noah right through coops pregnancy, and when he came out he looked nothing like a noah!! so then we had to try and think of something else, so you might want to have a few others as back up just in case;) :)

They are gorgeous names !
I love traditional as well as non traditional its just so hard to choose !
But i always loved Harry so it was easy to choose Harrison Charles ! (Charles after my partners granddad would have preferred Charlies but MIL threw a wobbly ! ) But had he been a girl he wouldve been Charlotte Grace (Grace after my mums middle name but also the full name of my great great grandmother ! )
I also love Oliver & Oscar for boys as well as Lily & Victoria for girls .... Now i just need to have 4 more  :p ;)

Love the names, specially Alexander.:)
I read these tips a while ago
*try saying the names together with the surname and see how it feels, *try not start the name with the same starting letter of the surname
*check the total length of of the name and surname togheter, very long ones, get tricky with the computer age having little spaces.
*once you have decided on a middle name check out the initials together, to make sure they don't stand for some thing that you wouldn't like. (although that's easy to fix just switch the middle name and first name perhaps)
* most important rule, I you really love the name, ignore the other rules.!!!
Are you happy if people shorten it to Alex?
I have a relative who called her son Alexander. I referred to him as Alex one day and was told, "His name is Alexander, what you call him away from me is up to you, but in front of me he will always be Alexander!"
I haven't made that mistake again!!! (LOL)
I love Alexander, very nice, and I also like the short version Alex.
Personally I'm not a fan of Madison. I wouldn't call it a traditional name, it was virtually unheard of before the 1980s. It is very popular now. Most Madisons I've known have been little brats. Sorry!

I rekon Alexander will get shortend to Alex tho. (Which I like better - but that is just me!)
They are great names! Amazing, we had both of those names on our shortlist for our bubs! But we ended up changing our minds when we saw him!
Alexander i believe is a traditional older style names i was going to name my daughter Alexandria.
I no little girl called madison she is so gorgous!!!!
They are both very beautiful names
franni
I can think of 5 little girls called Madison, right off the top of my head.
That doesn't mean anything tho.
I think both names are great - Alexander was on our list if we had had a boy.
All I have to say tho really, is that avatar a pic of you??? If so - OH MY GOODNESS - what is your secret. You look amazing.
Claire :)
Great names,..
My girlfriend has a little boy - Alexander - who we all call AllieCat,. and is pregnant again and hoping for a Maddison!!! The names sound great together!
We have Scarlett and have chosen either Jasper or Ruby for B2!

I really love the names.
Over many years, we have put together a long list of names we have liked during that year. We looked back on them and found that some where still great but some where out! Both Alex and Maddison made it onto our lists
I have chosen Lucas Paul for my son. It means 'bringer of light'. I hope he really likes it too!!!!! What do you think??
They're cute names ;)
I prefer traditional names too, I HATED having a 'unique' name growing up (Amelise)
Oh my goodness!!!! My friend has just named her bub Amelise! They hadn't heard of it before but when it popped up they fell in love with it!
We are going to Madison's 3rd birthday on the weekend ... she is such an incredble cutie ... I love the name!
I don't know any Alexanders, but it is such a strong name with with some really great nicknames ... I think you have chosen your names well!
