I don't use disposables but maybe put a booster of absorbant material or even a pad (eenee sell nappy pads) but I can't see why women's pads wouldn't work.

Or perhaps you just had a poor quality nappy and the rest are ok?

I'd put him back in the infant ones.....I'd say the crawlers aren't fitting him properly around the legs and making them leak.

I would definately email them. I had the same problem when DS was that age. They were really good about it and sent me out a free pack. Might be worth the email!

I'm a true believer that one type of nappy isn't going to do a child thoughout its nappyhood, like useing cloth you change the absorbancy as bubs get older, with huggies and the likes they never change, so for some kids what was great for them as a newborn etc just doesn't do the same thing at 6mths etc

so maybe change to another nappy and see how it goes, it just maybe time to change to a more absorbant nappy

i had the same problem when my son was 2 weeks old in the newborn huggies. It was happening to quite a few of them and was really annoying because i had to change his whole clothes. I looked at some of the nappies carefully and found that there was a gap in the absorbent liner, some of them were ok and others had a gap. So i emailed kimberely clark, you fill out a complaint form online but have to have the barcode from the packet of nappies. They sent me a reply asking me to send in 4 samples of the faulty nappies. About 3 days later i got a phone call saying that they were faulty and that they would send me replacement pack. They sent out a pack of 48 infant & 32 infant (2 sep packs) i was wrapt. So i would strongly suggest you inspect EVERY nappy before use and collect any that you suspect to be faulty as they do need at least 4 samples before they do anything.
Hope this helps.
By the way, i now use huggies for night time and baby love for day use. Baby love are great. Much better than snugglers which i found to be not very good but could be just a bad batch as this does happen. If you can, go to nappyland for cheap bulk nappies. Look up their website for the nearest one to you. They also deliver.

I only had to send in 2 samples when I complained about Snugglers, and they only sent out 1 pack of Huggies as compensation.

The nappies look ok to me...not that i know what i am looking for...lol.

I sent in a complaint anyway...??

I tried babylove and i didn't like them at all, for my bub (i think the nappy you use depends on the bub). But thanks for the advice....

Maybe i will buy a small pack of infants and try those and see what happens. Will see how we go tonight.

Could you actually see where they were faulty?

I used Huggies with DD from day 1 and when she was about 6 months they started leaking. I bought 2 different packs and they all leaked. I never sent in a complaint - but by the sounds of it I should have!

I changed to the You'll Love Coles brand (which is cheaper by the way) and they are great. When they first came out you could buy a small sample pack, not sure if they are still around but it's a great idea to trial them.

I've had the same problem and I now use ALDI nappies and they are great - no leaks. I'm not really one to complain - I'm more of a silent complainer, I just stop using the product.

My best friend (with 4 boys) swears by ALDI nappies. I'm using huggies for my 3 week old & they leak all the time... I just thought I wasn't an expert at putting them on yet!

Dri-bots from TARGET seem ok & are a reasonable price... I might give them a go after I finish this box???

I use Huggies and my baby is 6 months also, and 6.8kilos. I've stuck to the infants ones, until is he heavier as the crawler ones are too big in the legs. I also found that my bub just needs changing more often at this age ie middle of the morning when he has a feed. A nappy does not last him all night now.

Oh ok....maybe i will get a pkt of infant ones this week and just try them....but they just didn't seem long enough.go up high enough...bub is 70cm if that makes any difference...??!! the last few nights and days have been fine..strange?!

Thankyou tho for the advice....he sleeps 7pm-6am ish and doesn't wake at night either so can't change him. lol....

Could you actually see where they were faulty?

yes. open the nappy and hold it up to the light so you can see the inside liner. f you can see light through the nappy its faulty. there shouldnt be any gaps in the absorbent liner. the gaps mean that liquid will leak through. if the nappy looks fine, then it is probably the wrong size nappy or your baby. With boys, their penis can be laying in the direction of the side and if the nappy doesnt fit snug around their legs, then wee will just trickle straight out the nappy. this has happened while my DH was holding bub and he wee'd all over him lol..

Only recently I had to send in 4 huggies nappies as they were faulty, got a box replacement but havnt been happy with them since, I dont feel they are as good as they "used" to be.
Wether they are faulty or not you could try to complain, most companys take a satisfaction guarantee approach and your not happy with them so may get something. worth a try as only a email/call anyhow
I was going to try snugglers yesterday too but woolies had sold out our size as they were half price! :banghead:
Got baby love instead, no leaks over night so am pretty impressed so far.
