Hi :)

I'm after some advice/recommendations, as I've done some internet searches and am not finding much :( My DS went to gymbaroo and it was fantastic. I'd like to do something similar with my DD (almost 12 months)however the classes are just too costly for us now, what with kinder fees, and lots of other stuff to pay off as well. I've heard that there are some cheaper alternatives, but I cant find anything in my area (Mulgrave) I'd be willing to travel a little way for this, (but cant go too far really, as DS will need to be picked up from kinder etc.) So really, I'm looking at Mulgrave, Wheelers Hill, Glen Wavelerley, Mount Waverley, Clayton, Chadstone, Oakleigh, Noble Park, Dandenong North, Rowvile, or Knox.

If anyone knows of any could you please let me know original.gif By "cheap" I guess I'm meaning less than $100 per term.

TIA :)

I have enrolled Shannon in music classes at the Rowville Community centre - it is only $40 per term!!!! Bargin. I haven't started yet so I can't comment on how good they are but for that price I thought it would be worth giving it a go. They have heaps of classes throughout the week.

I don't know of anything specific, we've just moved to Melbourne and I'm not in your area. But have you checked at the local sports centres and with your council? Back in WA I noticed that some of the local council centres were running a toddler "dance" course which would basically just be getting them used to moving to the beat and lots of exercise. I think it worked out to less than $8 per class which was pretty cheap compared to Gymbaroo.

We did Gymbaroo too, and while we haven't started it here again since moving I do use alot of their games and principles at home or at the park with Chloe. DH isn't very enthusiastic about parachute time but will join in when pushed, lol.

I know what you mean about finding something to do for pre-schoolers which doesn't cost the earth! Jesse (4) is at kinder this year as well as tennis lessons at $90 per term (which is quite cheap!)
Lucas (18mths) is going to Parents and Preschoolers once a week and that is $210 per term for 1.5 hour sessions (including snack/drink). Jesse also went to this when he was younger and loved it, but it seems like you need one of those money trees to be able to afford all of the activities for kids that are under school age!
Can't wait for them to turn 5...little aths and auskick here we come!;)

hi we just had a lady come to our mothers group and she does baby gym and massage at $110 per term but she's in macleod (way to far) but i do know that she holds another one one the other side of town, just not to sure where.
Her name is Susan and numbers are 9435 7150 or 0400240791.
If she's no help maybe she'll have some suggestions.
good luck

oh and her classes are 6 weeks to 7 months, 7 months to 13 months, 13 months to 30 months
