Hi, I am the mother of four children, and also an author.

I am currently compiling a book of birth stories.
:D I am seeking submissions from anybody willing to share their experience. Birth stories can be emailed to birthstories@optusnet.com.au

You are also welcome to include a photo of your child, which will be reproduced in black and white in the book.

Many thanks,
Karen Penn,

I had a really bad pregnancy. I had five miscarriages before conceiving my daughter Faith. My husband had to inject me everyday with blood thinners into my belly. I then had to go on 4 different food limitations. Vitamin K and diabetic avoidance foods to list a few. As well as not being allowed to drive/ have baths & swim and generally getting out of the house for the first 16 weeks. She was born 9pd 9oz by c-section and had one of the largest placentas the doctors had seen for a long time. I had another miscarriage only 3 months ago but at least I now I have a blood clotting disorder.

Hi. Callum was not engaged when my waters broke, my obstetrician found my membrane hadn't ruptured properly and had to do it manually, I was induced the next morning, baby was posterior, suction, epesiotomy etc, etc. Happy to tell all if you still want stories. PM me for story.

It was a natural birth with lots of drugs involved.

Rachel, thanks for the update. I was about to post a warning to members that Karen hadn't logged in since she first posted her request and not to get their hopes up.
