DS is 6mths old and he has wind worse than when he was smaller!!!! He is FF with thickener in his bottles for reflux but he has so many burps all throughout the day, it's getting ridiculous!!
Im seeing a Pead in a couple of weeks anyway, but just wondering what anyone else has used to help their bubs to bring up wind (burps) more easily??
DS burps ALL DAY, no matter if it's just after a bottle or 4hrs after, it's affecting his sleep as everytime I put him flat im picking him up endlessly to burp him!
I've tried infacol, gripe water (cant think what else) and nothing has helped really, I have heard Marina Infant mix is good for this??
It causes him a bit of pain too obviously, until I get the wind out.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
Infants Friends worked great for us ... bubs doesnt give up his wind easily and found that infants friend relieves his wind pain
infacol is a life saver i sometimes still ue it as ds had a alot of gas i cant reccomend it enough i really saved us and ds it forms all the little wind bubbles in his tummy into one large one and makes that large one eaiser to pass life saver
and i tiled his mattress up too and that helped so much aswell

i found walking around, resting on shoulder was great or laying bubs on belly on your forearm whilst walking about as well
otherwise whilst sitting the quickest way was to lay bubs on their stomach and rub their back, circle motion not patting,,,this helped too on really bad nights :)
Not sure if you have tried them but they helped

Gripe water worked a treat for my dd
The first time she had it she screwed up her face, however everytime from then on she saw it coming and accepted it as if she knew it helped.
I was really worried about the alcohol content however after consulation with the local pharmacist (who I have known since I was younger also) I tried it and found it great.

This may be hard to explain, so bare with me.
Lay baby down on back, hold a leg in each hand and push up and in to stomach using a rolling motion. Does that make sense?
My mum did this with all of us as baby's, so thought i would try it with DD when she was little and it was amazing.(She's 19 months now and i still do it as a joke, she thinks it hilarious and i still manage to get wind out of her everytime!) i would do it about 20 minutes after a feed to let her stomach settle and then she'd let them rip. I found that most of the time the wind was down low so this helped to get any pressure out the other end IYKWIM.
