Hi all,
My son is 18mths old & he is a very fussy eater through the day... he eats what ever i cook for dinner but trying too get him to eat through out the day is impossible.... he only really eats yougurt, his cereal for breakfast, lesnacks & nothing much more... he drinks alot though... but im starting to worry that he will become unhealthy... he also starts daycare in a week...& i have no idea what to pack for him. My daughter is 5 & she ate just about anything i gave her. I was wondering if anyone had any idea's... even if you knew of recipes or sites where i could get good recipes. He doesnt eat bread either... alot of people say to me "make him a sandwhich" I've tried everything in the sandwhich deparment & he isnt having it.
If anyone could help it would be fantastic... If not have a great day!! :)

Hi Kelly!

Do you think he would eat quiche? (Vallerie refuses to eat it if I call it that... but if I say "scrambled egg pie" she can't get enough of it  ) They're easy to make (even easier if you buy the mini frozen ones from Coles LOL) and pretty healthy - if you make it at home you can make them cheesy, if he likes the taste of cheese.

Or Pizza? 18 months is pretty young, but he might be able to "help" you make the pizza's? Pita bread, pasta sauce (or even just tomato sauce), then you can put any kind of vege's on it, then grated cheese. This is a sure fire way for me to get Vallerie to eat vege's.

My mum used to make "toasty toasties" which was beaten egg, grated cheese, chopped bacon, french onion soup packet mix, herbs/spices/etc, put onto bread then put under the griller. She would toast the bread on one side first, then put the mixture onto the untoasted side, under the griller... IYKWIM...

Hope that is some help!! :) Good luck, kids are so much fun at this age!!

Lol !! DS1 is "fusspot felix" when it comes to food, except he does eat Quiche (we call it ham and cheese pie in our house!!!!). Therefore I make it once a week and even manage to get some spinach in there as well ! ;)

Another favourite is wraps (they are not quite as thick or doughy as bread). I use Mountain bread wraps - very thin. Fill them with whatever is their favourite, top it with cheese and even warm it in the sandwich press - yummo!

Does he like milk? I do smoothies with a few different fruits and call them milkshakes (the things we have to do  ), I also add yoghurt for that extra yummy taste.

DH bought me a juice making machine for Chrissy and the kids love having the fresh juice - little do they know that along with orange and apples their juice also contains carrots, cellery and sometimes beetroot! ssshhhh!!
