Hi,

Coming from Norway to stay in Melbourne for 5 months from next week, with my 6 months old baby boy. I am wondering if there is such a thing in Australia as a program for public health follow-up/control/vaccination for children under 1 year?
- Like a public healthcentre where parents with small children meet for advice, regular health checks etc. Since we are going overseas we will miss some of our fixed checks here in Norway..

Yes we have child health clinic's in Australia. Your best bet would be to look up your nearest health clinic in the local phone book when you get here. Some chemists also have a child health nurse that visits once a week so you could always call the chemists nearest you to find out if they have a CHN.
Good luck and enjoy your time in Australia

Sounds very good! I will definitively check out the chemists nearby.

You could also give your local council a call for the Maternal & Child Health Centre that's closest to you.
BTW, how did you go with the house-hunting links?
