After my second miscarriage and ttc # 3 for almost 8 months now my GP has recommended trying Blackmores Vitex to help with regulating my cycle. I have a suspected luteal phase defect but won't know anything further until I see the fertility specialist in a couple of weeks.

Has anyone used this and/or know what it's for and did it help them to conceive?

She also mentioned very low doses of asprin may help prevent miscarriage - has anyone else heard this?

I used this! It was FANTASTIC to get my cycle into some kind of regularity (28-31 day cycles) and made it HEAPS easier to detect ovulation.

If your on any other medication (ie anything for hormonal imbalances) then please double check that you can take them together. Despite vitex being a herb, it is incredibly strong; and you dont want to stuff your cycles up anymore.

I took two vitex a day up until ovulation, and then only one a day until either BFP or AF.

Best wishes!

Thanks for your replies ... it's worth trying anyway.

I'm trying to lengthen my cycle as I don't ovulate until day 19 of a 26 day cycle.
