OK, so Ava is just shy of 5 months. She is the most beautiful happy baby normally but over the last few days she has turned :p

She just loves to be close at the moment, more than usual and realllly doesn't like being too far from me, especially at sleep times, which is quite unusual for her.

She is rubbing at her face, eyes a lot and banging on her dummy when she has it in. He cheeks aren't red though.

When you look at her gums, there are two white bits you can see in the front of her gums. I don't know if I have only noticed them because I suspect she is teething or if they were always there. What do you think?

Anyway, I am really just asking if this could be the problem from the symptons described or whether she is just getting a little more "spirited" for lack of a better word.

Probably a combo of the two :p
The little white dots usually mean teeth trying to push through but whether they will now or sometime later is another thing. My bubs had this from the day he was born & only just got his first tooth a few months back but has now got three with the fourth thinking about it hehe.
I usually find that rubbing eyes for my bubs that its a cue for a sleep he usually sticks his hand in his mouth if its his teeth but every bubs if different which is what makes it hard
Just try & give her something she likes to chew on whether it be a cold carrot or teething ring or even a rusk as it may help her relieve some pain & tension she is feeling with it all.
Good luck :)

Hey Justcooked... We must be going through the same stages... I got on here to find out more about teething too and reading your post, it was like you were talking about my boy!

(Our bub's were born on the same day too!! )

Everything you described about Ava, same for Ethan. He doesn't have a dummy, but he bangs on the bottle when I'm feeding him. He also just cries (only for a few seconds) for nothing. We could be walking down the hall or I'll just pick him up for a cuddle or even if he is just sitting in his rocker and it is like we've turned on a tap. Quite funny and cute to watch though!

(DP says it is just mood swings and he gets that from me! How rude! :p )

Funny things aren't they. I am still searching for that secret button which will release their instruction manual.

Wouldn't that make life so much easier :p
