Wont sleep when I go out!!!

DS is 6mths old and used to happily drop off to sleep in his pram if I had to out to the shops, like the supermarket, banks like I do on most days, BUT NOW, he just lays there and stares and wont go to sleep, he seems to just fight it!:banghead: Usually I will head out after he has woken up and feed him if need be when im out, but it would make things so much easier if he would sleep in his pram, there is too much for him to look at now he is more alert I think, is just a pain as he is sooo overtired when I finally get home, and if i've got a lot to do, what a day it will be!!!!
I know there's not really much I can do if he doesn't want to nod off, just curious if any of your bubs are the same, every other mum I know can go out and their babies are happy to sleep in their prams :no: , mine isn't anymore!!!!

i know a friend and her dd is 13 months and rarely sleeps when they are out and about. :laughing: even when my 21 month old finds it boring enough to drop off

Yup, mother of child who REFUSES to sleep while out here :wave:

From about the same age as you DS, Sarah has pretty much refused to sleep anywhere, except in her cot in her room. Not even the car keeps her asleep for long anymore.

I shouldn't complain too much, when we are home, 99% of the time she drops off to sleep beautifully.

No magic cures, but at least you know you're not alone! I too look longingly at all the other lucky mums with sleeping babies in their prams at the shops!

Oh good!! thats what I wanted, to know it's not just my DS who's doing this!!! I look at all the other mums and their sleeping babies too (and think what have I done wrong), I get so jealous!!!! :laughing:

Yup, I can totally relate to that :yes: Everyone has a nice, sleeping, peaceful baby, but me. Makes you want to go up and poke them :laughing: :devil6: :rolleyes:

I thought it was just my DS that won't sleep in his pram !! The naughty boy would rather sit and whinge the whole time instead of sleeping....he hates lying down in his pram too, he would rather be sitting up looking around. I can tell he gets tired too cause he slumps to the side after a while, but still he won't sleep.....but he does sleep in the car so that's a little bit of a bonus I guess.
