Am new to this and I am still working out how to communicate with you all. I am not computer iliterate but this is my first ever forum - so please be patient. My name is Kylie, I live in Brisbane and have three children, with the youngest being 4.5 months. I am looking for advice from other mothers regarding my youngest. Hope someone can help.

Thanks for your quick reply. My problem is that my youngest child - a boy named Jacob is increasingly going backwards in his development (as opposed to my other two - a daughter 2, and another son 10). As an infant, he went to bed by himself at 7pm, put himself to sleep, and slept through until between 1 and 2am, in his bassinett. NOW, he refuses to go to sleep by himself, will only sleep for 20mins at any given time during the day, relies very much on the dummy (as much as every 15-30mins at night) and has picked up a feed at around 9.30/10pm, and lastly, will only sleep from this last feed onwards in my bed, thus hubby has been forced onto the couch!!! What do I do??? I want to ditch the dummy, but don't know how, as he will actually ask for the dummy during the day, and cries for it at night. Why has he started waking around 10pm and whats with the extra feed now. Neither of the other two had these issues and I am having difficulty dealing with them. I feel helpless and perhaps a little depressed (especially in the middle of the night with such little sleep). With six children under your belt, do you have any advice - ANY???

Hi Kylie
Firstly welcome and secondly is he FF (formula fed) or BF (breast fed). Maybe he's going through a growth spurt... Has he's patterns changed during the day?
When was bubs born? Reason i ask what month he was born is we have a area on here where we can talk to a bunch of other mums who have kids the same age. For example my DS2 (dear son 2) was born in feb and i chat to a heap of other mums who's bubs are also born in Feb.

My son was born in early January (as are all three of my children - didn't do the math!!). He could be growing, I am not sure anymore. Also, for the last couple of days, he has been waking between 4am and 5am and just thrashing his head about from side to side, then come 5ish, he drops off back to sleep. What is that??
Again, any advice at this stage would be greatly appreciated. I am going to try and ditch the dummy today as last night was horrible. Had minimal sleep and I need sleep.
