View Full Version : Weird White 'Egg' stuff in urine

So tonight I took a HPT and got a :bfn:it was the type where you pee in the little cup then you put the stick in...

Well when I took the test I noticed that there was some 'egg white' looking stuff in there and quite a bit! It resembled when a chicken egg boils and cracks open in the water and the white goes every where

I pee'd into the cup again after I washed it out, just to see if it was a one off or whether it was something more frequent and I got it again! not so much this time, but still enough for me to raise eyebrows!

What could this be?
Is it normal?

Thanks ladies xx BTW my AF is 2 days late already and today is the 3rd, so could it be related to that?

Edit, I counted my days wrong! I am actually 4 day over due for AF!

Sorry bit gross, but I'd have a wash then a self explore to try and determine whether it's from urethra(urine) or vagina(mucus).
Other then thrush which more resembles cottage cheese I have nothing to offer, sorry, maybe someone in the morning will know.

did a bit of searching and I discovered it seems to be coming from the very back of my vag

SORRY TMI!!

If I haven't grossed you all out... any one know what it could be? or should I see a doctor?

Does it smell yeasty, that's thrush.Sometimes causes an itch too.
Can use tea tree douche, tampon coated in natural yoghurt or commercial cream &/or tabs from chemist to clear up.

My only thought was that you were possibly ovulating, because that can cause egg white type mucus i believe, but then I read that you were overdue for your AF...Good luck ;)

Can you feel up furthur and see if it's a plug from your cervix.
If you squat right down with legs apart cervix should be pretty easy to reach and located at the back. Otherwise ask hubby to try.

I can get back there, but what do you mean by plug? What would it feel like?

Your cervix will feel like firm pursed lips, is there any of the white stuff there?

A plug forms when you're pregnant but also maybe before AF and as you're due AF thought maybe that was coming away.

If noone else can help maybe see GP just to be sure. Night Night

yes it is near my cervix then ;)

The little 'lip' that normally feels like it is open during ovulation has moved now feels like it has 'closed' and moved higher up...

Would that be AF or a possible BFP sign?

my cervix is at the front, always has been... maybe thats why i can do my own internals during labour. how odd

I know that I get what looks & feels like fertile cervical mucus(resembling egg white) right before AF is due & I also remember getting it around the time I got my BFP with my last pregnancy.
Doesn't sound like anything to worry about to me. Hopefully you will get your BFP in the next couple of days!!!

inside it feels like my cervix has moved up higher then normal even befroe my AF my cervix is touchable with the ball of my index finger and now I can only feel it with the ball of my middle finger!

Heres for a BFP but I will settle for AF!

Nop you wont settle for AF you will get a BFP :fingerscrossed:

I have this weird taste in my mouth, I brushed my teeth and listerine but that solved it for a whole hour...

I also feel nausious - but that could be stress :S

Did AF arrive or did you just do a preggie test?? Cause it's prob still too early for positive result from urine test.
Is it still there today or has it gone away?

No AF :( no +BFP

I just went to the doctors and I got a pap smear + a request for a blood test for pregnancy.

The doctor also said he would like to test for thyroid problems too!

My hormones have been normal, so either I am and my PT are just not showing up yet OR my AF is just being a dead set cow!

could be spermies but I have previously had that happen, and it looked different ... I know TMI - but... I could kinda smell it, the spermies that is!

This time around it smells like nothing! as weird as that may sound.

It may be that you ovulated late this cycle.
You'll know if you get your AF about 14 days from now.


If it is stretchy then it is cervical mucus, if it is stretchy then breaks after stretching it a couple of times then it is tadpoles.

I'd be bonking just incase!

You'll know more if in a couple of days it disapears and you have very little CM.

Definitely not O'ing... It feels like a little bit floury with lots of water in it if that makes sense!

It isn't stretch and it is breaking while its being strecthed, more like when touching clag glue paste but it isn't stretchy @ all....

This is so frustrating that I haven't got a BFP or my AF!

Oh I have everything crossed that it's a +BFP.
May even be too early for blood test to show raised levels and I'm hoping that it is your plug forming esp as your cervix is closed:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

I have just done another 'self examination' and felt that it yet again has moved up.

The mucus today has changed slighty now feeling like lubricant but not sticky or stretch, just really slimy and showing a little bit of white! :S this is nerve racking for sure
