Hubby picked up Catie last night to put her to bed. He nearly broke his back she is that heavy!! He asked me "have you picked up Catie lately?" I just thought about it... I haven't. Picking them up just stopped when they get bigger..... it is also not like she asks to get picked up either.... she has grown up, and I didn't even notice like that!:(
Soon she will be leaving home to get married :gloomy:

Oh don't say that - my DD is 9 and I don't want her to grow up anymore.

It is to fast. I miss brushing DS's teeth and helping him getting dressed and having his breakky out..Now hes doing that all on his own and doing his homework so well.:crying: Hes turning into a man..
BUT. we should feel happy and excited about it because we've done such a great job raising them!:yelclap: :D
Dd1 turned 9 on Tuesday. Next year she'll be 10 - double figures. Soon she'll be a teenager, then an adult.:crying:
She's stopped calling up Mummum and Daddad and has started calling us Mum and Dad.
But she still loves her cuddles, piggybacks (oh my god it's backbraking though!) and snuggling in bed. She's still my little girl, she's just getting not so little!
I'm excited about the future with her, it's just sad to say goodbye to the past:hugs:
DD turned 2 yesterday...I have to agree, it goes so quick ...Too quick sometimes.

I know how you all feel, my DS1 is heading on double figures and he's even starting to sound old, like as in more like his dad's tone, even though his voice hasn't broken or anything yet, it's just scary...
His sister can't wait for her first set of false nails....she is 8!!!
