Hi ladies

I have just noticed that the colour of my green BBB has run and stained some of the microfibre inserts that share the wash with it. Is this normal? Has anyone else had problems with the coloured bamboo nappies staining other things?

I cant find in the instructions anything that says that the coloured ones need to be washed seperately. And anyway, I will be really annoyed if I have to do two separate loads of washing so I can keep my other inserts looking OK.

What do you think??

i have all the colours bar pink, and wash them at 60 degrees all the time

i have never had a problem with anything running in the wash
and i have quite a few BBB now.

even on their first wash i threw them in with the rest of the nappies that needed washing and then my clothes and things for the next 2 washed and never a problem.

Yeah I washed them at 60 degrees too. All the hemp and bamboo inserts look fine, it is just the microfibre from my BG that is looking worse for wear. I want to try to resell my nappies after I finish with them and I dont like my chances if all my inserts are funny colours. I think i sould contact Baby Beehinds and see what they think!

The BBB are colour fast and certainly should not have run.

Is the BG definitely green? I have found one of mine turn a slightly different colour just from the urine. It was a grey/green colour. Is it all over or in one spot?

The BG has NEVER BEEN WORN!!! So it is definitely not a wee issue here LOL! The insert is the exact shade of green that the nappy is, just fainter, and it is all over the insert. I dont want to make it out worse than it is... it is not a bright and obvious green, but it is noticible all the same. I want to look after my nappies and keep them looking good!!!

Same goes for the BBB- never worn either. They have had their 3 washes and I'm currently waiting for them to dry. I am sure the wait will be worth it!

Thanks, Cherry

I got the purple one, and have washed it on hot... my machine doesnt have degrees lol, so this was just hot from the tap, and nothing ran.

I got a brand new orange not long ago, chucked it straight in the wash with other stuff.... it was fine...

Never had any of my bbb run. I have a bg insert that is discoloured from something. Can't remember what it was that ran, maybe they take up colour really easily. It is slowly getting fainter, but not sure if it will ever get back to white.

Mine never ran, but the microfiber inserts can get dye out of ANYTHING, it's amazing- everything else can be pristine and white, or the proper colour, but those microfiber inserts get a tinge of colour from whatever they can.

I really wouldn't get too precious about the inserts- they will re-sell fine  Wait til something like a pair of new jeans accidently gets added to the load of nappies  Even then, after a few days in the sun everything is back to the colour it should be
