I bought a some 'micro polar fleece' from spotlight today to make some more nappy liners, and got a bit extra 'cause i had a brilliant (i hope) idea! DS is a big puker, and ends up with a wet head & back as it travels along the sheet & soaks him. So i thought if i made up some micro polar fleece & microfibre sheet covers it might help protect him. ATM i use a flanelette pillow case folded in thirds (so i cans till tuck it into the basinette) under his head, so i only have to change that each time intead of the tho whole sheet.
Was i correct in thinking that the micro polar fleece will work like normal microfleece/suedecloth & draw the puke away from the top and onto the microfibre underneath?? So his head might stay dry as the fleece itself will be dry?

ok, heres what I think.........Great idea. Teh fleece should work to draw the wetness away from bub, buut I wopul dthink taht teh microfibre would be inclined to cause it to leak back through if his head is lying on it - compression leak. So, I think you would be better off using the flanalette for absorbtion. I'm no expert though! Why don't you try a couple of combinations before you sew it up.
Good luck, I'm onto happy chucker number two.............DS1 was forever vomiting in the cot, its a pain changing linen evry two minutes!!
