My little 3 month old has developed a little cough. I took him to the doctor yesterday who listened to his chest (back and front) and did all of the other check over things and said he was fine. She said his throat was a little bit red but nothing to worry about.

Leo slept through the night but coughed quite regularly. I have just put him down for a sleep and he is coughing (although remaining asleep).

I am a little concerned - I guess I should just keep checking on his cough to make sure it doesn't get "chesty". Is that the general consensus?

I would just keep an eye on him ... he will probably be better in a couple of days. The weather has been pretty inconsistent and it may just be a harmless reaction to the fluctuations in temperature.

Big snuggles for Leo!

I really get frustrated when I hear my kids coughing but when I take them to the doctor they sound all clear. Most of the time it clears up ok but it's noticably worse in the morning and at night (which I'm pretty sure is normal).

I'd give it a few days - if it's not noticably better then a trip back to the Dr's might be best. Watch for temps and anything he coughs up that may be coloured - that's usually a sign of infection.

Hope he gets better soon!:)
