Hi all, more questions!!!:o
Do you wash PUL covers after each use?
&
Can you use a wool cover (ie, longies) all day? Or do you have to air after each nappy change?
I figured fitteds with longies would be a great option for day care, if you can use the same longies all day.
Thanks!!!!!!:)
i air PUL covers out so rotate 2 a day, longies i air if they feel damp. Maybe have 2 pairs for day care and rotate
i usually wash my PUL covers but might try airing them. i have lots of extra snap-ins for my berry plushes and its such a pain to have to wash the cover if its just a tiny bit damp. next time i will put them out in the sun for an hour or two then try the 'sniff test' :D

I'm a bit funny about re-using the BP covers because of the polyester on the inside, as apposed to re-using a Motherease Airflow cover which is smooth on the inside(no fabric) but that's just me
With the longies.. depends on how lazy I am and if I have a new pair with me when I change Ariene:) . The pair she wore last night were back on this afternoon, then on to be worn tonight... so not much airing there. But they'll get some fresh air tomorrow.
As for childcare, my longies would just feel to special to go to childcare- I picture them coming home matted and with bits of bark hanging off them, full of sand etc  For a little baby I'd go with longies though! But they just don't feel like play gear to me...

I rotate a couple of PUL covers (or if I use BP as covers) if they aren't soaked or soiled I just give them a wipe and air them between uses, and then wash next time I do a load or when I think they need it. If they've been really soaked/ soiled/ or are getting whiffy I'll wash sooner.

When Jet's at home I usually have him in fitteds and the same pair of longies all day unless he slops food on them or they get soiled or feel wet (very unusual). Now that he's mobile they're taking a bit of a beating though! so I find I'm using them more at night (just to spare them from getting pilled and felted). I don't send him to daycare in them for the same reasons that Em mentioned.
If Nedd isn't mobile yet (is he crawling yet? i know he was close!) then longies all day will probably still be fine but once he's up and about you might rather that he dragged himself around in something a bit less 'nice' IYKWIM!

Thanks for the help ladies!
I have a few pairs of woollies so I let them air and change them each nappy change unless he hasn't been wearing them very long
