hi

it's my sons birthday shortly and i want to attempt to make my own cake for him for the first time and i need to make a spiderman cake of course.:thumbsup:

can anyone give me any tips on how to make the picture on the top. are there special icing pens or something i need to buy to do the detail or stencils i can buy. any tips are appreciated and can you also tell me where i can purchase items from.. thanks in advance :) :o

i cheated with ds cake i did the webbing myself and bought a card with spider man on it and cut him out, hung it on the side, and a little statue thingy and stuck that on the cake in the spider web. Making the spiderweb was though but enough for me i couldnt imagine making spidey to match :)

You can buy an edible cake topper. It is a decal you put on top of the iced cake that is edible.

Spiderman is tricky, I'd go with the ediable pic, and then you can do fancy piping or whatever around it :yes:
