we had our first night that bbb made it thru the night... we had the two boosters in and the pul cover on... she didn't wake at all thru the night for a feed and went down at 8.30 until about 5.30 this morning and didn't leak ... not that i expected it to..

she was really wet in the back of the nappy (obviously) but i think if she was to wet anymore she would of leaked - do i put a bbb foldup over the nappy on the outside - would this help contain any leakage???

or any other thoughts??

no advice as i am new to BBB but i wanted to add that Harper was in his bbb from 10.30pm last night til 7am with no leaks so i think the nappy has reached better absorbancy :smiliedance:

Great!!

Try a wool cover for overnight the wool breathes more so the nappy can evaporate some of the moisture from body heat too.

Definetely add a bamboo fold-up imo. Fold it into three and put it inside, on top of the two snap ins. Or between the nappy and cover if you wish.

It will mean that bub is dryer and more comfortable, and you'll know for sure that they'll be no leaks. The fold-ups are great for overnight use- I've never had success without one (or two!). The two snap ins are great for day use though.

does anyone else find it so bulky though with the foldup, that when bubs is lying down, the bum is so much higher then the rest of them. Is that bad for their back??

With Phoenix we pop most of the padding at the front- his bum sits up a little but not hugely.

I guess with a girl it would be harder- but BBB tend to wick the moisture away so I can't see why you can't pop the boosters on the outside of the nappy between the legs more towards the front. I don't know, I have a boy!!

I put them on both a girl and a boy (most of the time I use 2 BB foldups- one inside and one outside) and yep, pretty bulky, but their bum doesn't sit up noticibly higher and they seem to feel pretty comfy! Ronan loves wearing his 'soft nappies' :D Now to convince him to give them up altogether! :detective:

maybe she is just too little still lol. I gave up on the fold up tonight, just have the two boosters in, hoping that will do.

She might be still little enough for it to last :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:
I wish I knew about MCN back when my babies were that small! :(

it was fine, I am always so cautious in the morning, but she usually does a big poo in the morning, and even after the nappy being on for 10 hours, no leaks...
