Can anyone help me??

I had an ultrasound yesterday to check my dates and a general check on bubs, i had a positive blood test on 30th DEC, my AF was 10 days late by that time

anyways, when i had the ultrasound all we could see was a shadow of the sack he said that he couldn't tell if any water was in it or not

I'm so confused and upset

he said it just could be very early days like being 3 weeks

My AF's is irregular but most times comes between 30 and 35 days

so according to my cacluations i would of ovulation when i was actually due for AF and my blood tests picked up that i was pregnant only a few days after implantation

could this be right? has this happened to anyone?? could this be a bloated ovum (i hoping this is what they call it)

any information would be great

I had a similar problem with my first pregnacy. Went and had a scan and they were sure, so my OBGYN sent me for another scan 10 day later, and they confirmed a bloated ovum unfortunately.

This however my not be your case. You could only be 3 weeks. With my DS I though I was around 9 weeks pregnate, but was dated at a scan at tis time at only 6 weeks. The sonographer said that it was probably because I had the dates wrong.

I have a very irregular period and there was never any pattern to it. Sometimes I would get it every 30 day, or 42 days, ect. My OBGYN said that I ovualte late in the cycle, towards the end rather than the middle, and this would account for my date being sooooo wrong.

Good Luck put your feet up, and try not to think about it too much, you will drive yourself crazy. I found the best thing to do was to try aand keep my self entertained, to not think about it. Talk to friends, play around on the computer. things will work out for the best.

Im not sure if this will help but I have a longer cycle also and concieve later in my cycle rather than earlier. You may just be a little too early on to see anything yet. I didnt see this baby until 8 weeks because there was nothing to see when I had one at 6 weeks. It is hard to wait the wait but keep in mind that with a longer cycle it will have been around day 17 approx for conception. Thinking of you hope all goes well.

Hi. I just had an ultrasound on saturday because of bleeding. There was a gestational sac of 5wks4days but no baby. The dr said it could be 2 things....1. a miscarriage(which it has turned out to be) or 2. an early pregnancy. I am very sure of my dates so i know that it was not an early pregnancy( i should have been 8wks3days at the time) because I would have had to have tested +'ve 2 days after i ovulated which i know is not possible.
Get your hormone levels tested, they might give you a better indication.
