Hi there

I live on the other side of Maitland, just past Lorn. Thornton is growing really fast, and is a much better area than the others, especially Woodberry- Woodberry is probably one of the lowest areas of Maitland, with basic cheap housing and one row of shops that are covered in graffetti. Bear in mind this is just my opinion- I don't mean to offend anyone!

My son plays against Woodberry in footy, and no one has much positive to say about the place, but that is my only experience of it, so probably doesn't help much, lol.
That said, my sis owns a house in Thornton, and she loves it. Admittedly her kids go to school out of area, but on a whole she loves there and her family are big in the local cricket club, DSD and DS work locally as well. Close enough to Newy, but still a little bit country too.

Hi there,
I'm another here saying I'd give Woodberry a miss if possible!
I've also lived in Thornton, it's ok but is really turning into dense suburbia.... if you can afford it I'd go for the East Maitland area.... I live central Maitland at the moment and I like it

Have to say I prefer East Maitland over all of those areas, but Woodberry would be last on my list!
