I've noticed that every now and then, Immy has what appears to be cradle cap across her eyebrows.
Sometimes it goes a little red, but it's rough and flakes.
I've tried using paw-paw cream and letting it soak in and gently rubbing it off with a terry towelling nappy.

Does anyone have any tips/advice as to how I can get rid of it or how to control it?
Thanks!:)

Hey Annabanana !!

Both my boys had cradle cap and the best for them was a little olive oil rubbed in after a bath and then left on till the next bath, then wiped gently with a washer, usually it all comes off after a couple of goes...

Goodluck with it :) Hope to see clear eyebrows on little Immy when you get to Melbourne (WOO HOO)

LOL!
I'm sure she'll be looking her perfect little self!
It comes and goes - I just managed to rub it all off her head and still she lost not a hair!
But it's just when it gets red that it looks bad - I'll try the oil but it just doesn't seem like it would penetrate the rash.

I used olive oil on MJ's head & then used one of her baby brushes & gently scratched it off. Just put it on before the bath, brush head & off it comes :)

THen you've got the fun of cleaning the oily bath :p

Olive oil here too.....amazing stuff. Poured on, massaged in, fine tooth comb, wash off, a little shampoo and then a nice towel dry and it was all gone.

Maybe stay away from the extra virgin, it gets a bit stinky and you start thinking you need a good chunk of bread to mop it up! :p

Oh Ok! You've all managed to convince me to give it a go!:D
Tomorrow morning I'll give it a try and see if I can get rid of it. I know it will pass in time but I really want to keep on top of it. But I also know I need to be careful as it's close to her eyes. Now about her looking like a grease ball.....:D

Wish me luck!

This is off the topic but I was just putting olive oil in DH's ears to soften the wax (under doctor's instructions of course!) He couldn't hear because the water from the pool got in there and compacted everything to the consistency of concrete! Went to emergency (big wuss was getting scared he'd never hear again!) and the doctor recommended olive oil to soften everything and then getting his ears syringed....I just love olive oil!!!!

Hi There,

I removed my youngest sons cradle cap, by mixing up a paste of water and bi-carb soda. Putting it on his head for 5 mins and then gently combing his head with a fine tooth comb ( actually it was a head lice removal comb). It worked really well he had quite bad cradle cap. And now it is all gone and haven;t haad to repeat it yet over 2 weeks later.

Don't know how it would go on the eyebrows though.

Good luck:)

Yep, I'm breast feeding.
Doesn't breast milk go on EVERYTHING?!

It's so hard to treat as it's so close to her eyes!
I'm scared she'll move and I'll poke an eye out or something!

it will be ok if it goes in her eyes! my friends bub has conjunctivitis and the doctor told her to squeeze breast milk into her eyes! so i gues it wont hurt!

Oh I'm not worried about the breast milk - my boob isn't really going to cause too much eye damage!:D
I'm just worried about putting anything else on/near her eyes.
Am trying the olive oil & breast milk ideas!
