Hey guys

Just wondering, i am feeling sooo sooo clucky more than normal and today we were at our baby group (toddler group now) and at the playcentre there was some little newborn bubbas and a few preggy ladies, i was like awww and rubbing my tummy and i can't wait till we are going to TTC. We have decided to wait till October, but gosh i just so wish we were going to do it sooner! Or October can just hurry up!

So who else is waiting TTC and who else is as desperate for it to be now! ??

This is when we will all be TTC:

Hayleyd ---- > June 2007 (was meant to be Oct 07!!) ~ BFP!!
Tls5431 ----> Sep 2007
Bubble*Crazy ---- > Oct 2007 (subject to DF LOL!)
V8 -----> Oct 2007 (another early starter, June 07 hehe) ~ BFP!!
Kymmy ------> Nov 2007
Stellarella -----> Nov 2007
Heaven Sent -----> Dec 2007 (oops, started early July 07)
kristi001 ---- > Jan 2008 (BFP already!)
Billy ---> July 2008

Same here!!!!!

We are supposed to be waiting until October to start TTC for our first, but I am really finding it hard waiting. It's like as soon as we decided on a time to start TTC I got really obsessed with it. I keep thinking every morning .... one day closer. I am working on DH a little bit to push forward the date :fingerscrossed: we start TTC sooner rather then later!

Cool, glad i'm not the only one, and it's like 5 more months waiting! Aarrghhh, wish it would hurry up! lol

Anyone else waiting? Is it driving you nuts?

DH and i agreed on September to TTC again, as soon as we agreed i got obsessed, then we started BDing without using protection and decided, if it happens it happens. then i got more obsessed and downloaded a O calendar. and lo and behold, we are now TTC haha. so much for september. i wonder if i will get PG in spet just cos thats when we agreed to try. hahaha. i dont wanna wait that long but we will have to wait and see.

We are trying again in Nov/Dec...I am just crossing my fingers that AF will return before then :fingerscrossed:

I get very clucky when I see new babies or read birth stories....I am busting to be blooming again and home birthing...cant wait.

I need to put on some weight though, I will never concieve in this state, basically wasting away...anyway I am going to see a naturopath soon and start my pre-conceptual program..hehe:D

V8
19-05-2007, 11:52
Oooh stellarella, a preconceptual program. What does that involve, if it's too personal, just say so. :)

The things i wanna do is try and lose weight, or at least do some regular exercise so my body doesn't feel like it's 50 years old! I need to get my wisdom teeth out, start taking pregnancy vitamins 3 months prior to TTC, so around August and basically just try and keep my mind and body healthy so i can conceive another bubba. :)

I am so very clucky but I want to wait til November at least to TTC.

Hey Kymmy, join in, hehe, you love the 3 year age gap don't ya! lol :D

Let's hope we all get lucky at the end of the year! :D

kymmy
19-05-2007, 12:15
 Love the 3 year gap (or bigger). :D

My main goal is to lift my iron levels as I have so much trouble with it esp when pregnant. Also just want to be fit and healthy as possible., not so much worried about weight as bub is still bfeeding.

Also want to organise the house - I think we will have to move. And get a bigger car (already saving for that)
Might sound weird but I am nesting in a way. Just trying to sort through the kids rooms imagining having a newborn and how he/she would fit.

I too am soooo clucky! BUT, my biggest hurdle will be convincing DP LOL.

Once we got the girl & boy it was like that's all we need (well, to him anyway) ... I too would like to lose a few kgs (more like 15-20kgs ), and really would like to wait till October so we have a mid to second half of the year baby. That way I've got plenty of time to convince DP also.

Oooh goodluck bubblecrazy with convincing DP! I agree i wanna have a baby in the last part of the year too! :D Hopefully close to my birthday! ;)

Kymmy, i am doing similar things, worrying about whether our car will suit our needs, how we are going to organise our new house to accomodate a baby etc. I am in nesting mode to me thinks! I just like being organised aswell so wanna get my health issues and things sorted first too. :D I am getting really excited by it!

Hehe, no not too personal...by program I just mean exercising regularly, taking all my supplements, maybe taking herbs if naturopath recommends them, starting to work through emotional issues to do with the birth. I still have some issues to work through from last birth and I want a home birth so I want to get into a good head space...

I like drawing pictures of women birthing and just releasing any fear....

If anyone is interested Francesca Naish and Jeanette Roberts write good books about pre-conceptual care, eliminating toxins from your environment, supplements etc.

We must not forget our husbands have a role to play too. 3 months before TTC I make DP stop drinking alcohol...LOL...

Kymmy, how exciting if we are pregnant at the same time!!!! :hugs: :smiliedance:

Cool, thanks for informing us Stellarella that is very interesting.

DH isn't allowed to drink and i made him quit smoking last year, so hopefully that's fine. But we conceived rather quickly first time so that was nice. Hopefully my fertility returns to normal after i get the implanon out. I am actually wondering whether it be better to get the implanon out now and get my periods regular and just go back onto the pill. Is this something anyone else is considering??

Theboys&me
19-05-2007, 18:14
Yeah that's what I have done. I have had my implanon out for a few weeks, I want to be able to be regular so I know my cycle. It's so exciting!!! Hard not to get carried away with it now.....

Ok cool, was thinking the same thing, i'd like to know what my cycle is before we start TTC, rather than waiting for it to return to normal when we could be getting pregnant already! lol IYKWIM. So yeah, think i might get mine taken out in a few weeks too. Oooh, that would be hard not to get carried away though huh! lol :D

I just had to add to this!! DH and I are ttc #3. We have a boy and a girl too so it took a while for me to even think about having another one thinking I had the pigeon pair etc!! But how funny is it that my dd (9) name is Taylah-Ann and we were going to name our ds (4) Ethan but ended up calling him Aidan!! So funny that the names are basically the same and when ds was 2, we were in the same boat! Well, he's 4 now and we only started 6 months ago of ttc!!

I don't know how you girls can wait! I'm obsessed with trying! As soon as I was given the 'go ahead' that was it!! Mind you, I do already have a big gap so was easier to start straight away! I'll keep popping in and see if any of you crumble and start!! lol

Good luck to you all

Hubby and I don't drink or smoke so that isn't a concern.
I actually had a miscarriage over a week ago. I thought it was possible it was twins as I still felt pregnant. Not so. Hubby is very upset. He wants another child even more than I do. I am relieved only because I don't know how I would cope with a gap of just over 2 years. (Pregnancy is not kind to me either)

Me too!! Need to loose weight (as I've mentioned many times before), get 2 wisdom teeth out and start taking some vitamins.

I go through very clucky periods and then kind of worried periods about how I'd cope with 2.

We were going to start trying around October....assuming I'm not actually pregnant now of course (haven't done a test yet).

That is sort of my reasoning too with all our birthdays at the start of year (Jan, Feb, March and April) and bub in November. And no one close to us has a birthday in August so I thought it ideal.

What are We all Doing To Prepare for TTC?
I want my iron levels to rise.
I want to do things all natural and  have an unassisted pregnancy.
I want to get a better house and car.
I want to get more organised with my family etc.
I want to research more about my choices regarding birth etc. (I feel ripped off I didn't know as much when having my babies)

Billy - I think I feel more informed of my choices and its not all unknown! Very different to my first pregnancy and birth.

♥Heaven Sent♥
24-05-2007, 22:26
I cant wait to have another bub but hopefully when am pregnant my ob will let me go natural,i will push for it because i want it so badly.

I am diabetic so ob's usually say they wont let you go over.

I was induced with #1 at 39 weeks and think it was very unnecessary.

With #2 i went to 40 weeks and didn't actually establish labor until 1 day over so i think they will let me.

Hey All :) Lovely of you guys to keep this thread going, i think it's great to be able to chat to others in this waiting game!

Hayley D, congrats on getting your implanon out, i hope AF sorts itself out so you can BD at the right times!

Kristi001 - OMG, that would have been amazing to see Danielle give birth and yes would be very hard to not be so clucky!

Welcome to our club Billy the more the merrier.

Heavensent - hope your next birth goes the way you want it to.

Kymmy - i am a bit the same with researching options my last birth was quite traumatic, 27 hour posterior labour epidural and ventouse extraction, hated it, would love a more active birth this time.

The things i will start doing when we move house next month to prepare for TTC will be

*Stocking up on HPT's!! LOL, i can't help but love POAS! lol
*Buying some Elevit
*Getting my implanon out either next month or July.
*Exercising, just light walking every day.
*Eating healthier, drinking more water.
*Getting my wisdom teeth out
*oh yeah, and trying to lose a bit of weight would be nice!

I can't wait till we move house, having some privacy, getting DS to sleep in his own bed and in his own room is going to be another challenge!

Also DH is constantly hassling me for more kiddies! lol But i am making him wait.

How is everyone else feeling?

What is Elevit exactly?

Anyone have great tips on how to elevate iron levels? Apart from eating meat (I am vegetarian)?!! I don't consume caffeine. I rely on nuts for some iron and protein as well as veges.

I am also trying to drink more water. I hardly drink anything at all - its not good.

Hey Kymmy isn't spinach chock full of iron? :detective:

My reason for waiting is I want us to have a better house and car. I also prefer a bigger gap so 3-5 years is ideal for us. (Looks like it could be less )
I want to move when not pregnant for a change  (We moved when I was 9 months with my girl then 8 months with my big boy)

Hey Kymmy, since it will be your fourth what kind of car are you thinking of getting? And also how many rooms do you think you'll need? We plan on having 4 kids and we have a 4 bedroom house, i think we'll just make the youngest share for a while. I also either wanna put a ****ie seat in our wagon, even though our wagon is pretty old. Or possibly get a people mover. Not sure yet! lol

kymmy
26-05-2007, 20:55
Hubby wants to get one of those cars with seats on the sides used for tours. But not sure they are safe for kids and surburbia!
Not sure yet. Have to do some more research.
As for a house - A 4 br would be ideal. My big kids share a room now. I like the kids to share though it would be nice to have a toy room or area.
We are paying a reasonable rent now so we know when we move it wil be a shock. I think it will have a lot to do with luck.

I want an 18months gap btwn pregnancies so I can build up my vit/mineral stores etc.

Seeing the osteopath about my back and pelvis. My midwife from oscars birth thinks I have a narrow/android pelvis, hence my difficulties during labour. So I want to have it checked out and see whether it is has to do with my skeleton in general. I know I dont have good posture, so maybe we can improve my skeleton and avoid the same problems for my next labour :fingerscrossed:

Hey Kymmy, yeah i think i know what car you are sorta talking about. There are heaps out there so it does take a while to find one that will suit you guys. When we were growing up we had a tarago and then we had 4wds like a Nissan Patrol, cause there was 4 of us. It wasn't too bad. My twin sis and i always shared a room we had bunk beds till we were 17! lol.

Stellarella, hope you get your back problems fixed. I've been seeing a chiro for ages and it has helped a bit with my back, but i think i am seeing an osteopath or something next month, it's someone that deals with bones anyways! lol

I am going to try and start yoga again so that when i get pregnant my body won't be feeling so stiff and rigid. I hope to continue doing yoga through the pregnancy aswell.

Getting very exciting!

Hi All

like to drop in and join the thread. we are waiting to TTC until Sept. I have found over the past couple of weeks I have become very clucky. I almost brought some baby stuff yesterday while out shopping by myself.

The reason for the wait, I got promoted at work and found out on the same day from my Thyroid specialist that I could go ahead and TTC. So we decided to wait until Sept before we started...

I can't wait for September to roll on through...

OK Well My Reason for waiting... Well I Blame DP because he is the one that actually set the date but i Did agree with him.

So The Kids will be about 2 yrs give or take apart... Depending on how long it takes us to fall Pregnant!

Yay Kristi, did you plan on just having the gap around that time, or do you also want to have a winterish baby.

I am kinda happy to have a winter baby cause then i can hide my post baby fat in baggy clothes! It was horrible last time as i had Josh in Nov and it was already hot and couldn't go swimming as i don't think i would have found any other togs other than maternity togs that would have fitted me. And noone wants to wear maternity anything when you aren't pregnant right? LMAO!

So hopefully it all goes well, i am really looking forward to it. I am also strangely looking forward to a dental appointment in a few weeks as i want my wisdom teeth out, and for me that's one thing off my list so i can focus on TTC. :)

Then i think i'll be getting the implant out, it's actually hurting my arm too, so i'll get it out in a month or two.

So it's all just a little step closer huh? :D

Hey ladies!!!

Well not sure how interested you are but......... I got my first AF (well besides the one straight after I got my implanon out). That makes my whole cycle 25 days which also means I will be fertile on 7th June for a few days!!! YAYYYY!!!!! So really early TTC! :fingerscrossed: it works first up (or really soon)

I was thinking though - isn't it funny how you go your teenage years trying really hard NOT to get pregnant and all the time you really have no idea how fertile you are.... I hope I work properly!! I am so OVER ready to get up the duff!!!

Hey all :)

Kristi, i hope i have a nice time TTC, last time i just really wanted to get pregnant quickly and i got my wish. This time i'm wanting to be more prepared though before i TTC. It will be interesting. :)

Hayley D, that's great that you had your first proper AF so you know what your cycle is, has it returned pretty normal after your implanon has been removed?? Oh, i can't wait to see how long it takes for you to fall pregnant, hope it isn't too long, i worry that my fertility will be affected from having the implanon, but shall just have to wait and see i guess.

My mum was really lucky every time she wanted to fall pregnant she did and the longest she tried was for 4 months! She also had 3 kids by my age, i hope i have as much luck as her.

Hi girls can I join in here too :) :)

We are going to start ttc in October. I went to a medical herbalist the other day and she put together a formula of herbs to help various issues including my monster long cycles. I have just started temping and charting (never done it before) which I'm finding kinda weird and a bit stressful.

I'm thinking about starting my ttc journal soon but I think that maybe a bit over the top since I still have 4 mnths to go  .

Hi Hayley,

I'm really clucky now, I find myself spending hrs on the net researching stuff on ttc. The only thing stopping me from trying any earlier than Oct in that I'm a bridesmaid in Dec and so I don't want my dress not to fit.

I bought a PINK bubby outfit the other day and today I found my self smelling it (I know sounds weird - kinda like they way you do after you do washing :o ) and I swear it smelt like baby - so anyway I've come to the conclusion that I may very well be loosing the plot  .

I hope it helps me curb my spending cos now I have over 4 big bags of newish clothes from size 0000 - 2. It was soooo fun sorting them. Hey Badabing, nice to see you in here :) Let's see how long we can hold out together! Doesn't October seem like ages away!

OMG, i am getting so carried away, i am already looking into my options regarding having a home water birth, reading up on TTC and going to start tracking my cycle as of tomorrow when the implanon comes out. I am still going to focus on getting healthier, getting my wisdom teeth out and seeing how we go. But all working towards TTC :D

I am just delieriously excited! :smiliedance: I have told a few friends and family aswell and they are all excited too. Man, i'll be lucky if i can hold out till next month let alone October! lol

Hayley D, goodluck hun, you sooo have to let us know how it is all going!

04-06-2007, 10:28
Well, today is the big day i'm getting my implanon out! YAY! Still tossing up whether to get a prescription for the pill to regulate my AF or just see what happens, obviously there will be a huge temptation to start TTC if i don't get the prescription. I'll also have a chat to him to see what things i should consider before we TTC incase i need blood tests or anything like that. :)

Wow, this is a whole new thing for me! Last time we just BD'd heaps and it paid off! lol

Jac, omg i am soo the same! Yesterday all i saw was newborn babies, there was a mummy breastfeeding her little one in her car, and it all brought back so many memories of how my now 19 month old was a little baby. Oh and not to mention the amount of preggy ladies! Wow! It is so hard huh?

Well i have some good news. I went to the dentist and i only need one wisdom tooth removed which i'm doing on Friday. I went to the doc and the implanon is removed. I am just going to wait a few months and track my cycle to see when i'm ovulating and stuff, but not try and get pregnant. Then i also bought some pregnancy and breastfeeding tablets to start taking a month before we officially start TTC. I am also going to concentrate the next few months on getting healthier and fitter. Oh and also reading as much as i can about homebirths and waterbirths i want this time to be really special. :D

And lastly i have decided to set up a seperate bank account to put money aside for the next baby, rather than go crazy and buy heaps of stuff!

I just had to pop in and add to this section. I had the mirena coil in for about 18 months. I had it taken out last Sept. I had bleeding for the first 6 months but assured it would settle down. It did, but not for long. I always felt bloated, put on 10kgs, got lumps in my boobs that were painful and was always tired. The mirena can trick your body into thinking that it's pregnant hence all the weird symptoms. Since having it out, perfect 28 day cycles, lumps in boobs gone, still working on losing weight but am currently ttc #3 still with no success. How long have you had the Mirena in for? I know one of my friends has got it and loves it. Never had a problem, so as usual, affects different people in different ways! Nothing ever seems to agree with me so it's nice not having to be on anything now while ttc!!

Good luck with all you inquiries though, just thought that I would give you my personal experience with it.

Hey All

Kristi!! You have to tell us if you got lucky or not! Woops, i know what you mean though, it is so tempting, but yeah i definately want to be thoroughly planned this time round.

Kymmy - Same here, need to research lots about homebirth and water birth, i am even so tempted to by my own birthing pool, i saw some great ones on symplybirth.com.au or something like that. But yeah, and maybe meet up with some women from the HMA when they have meets to find out as much info. I think i'll still get blood tests and routine scans, but otherwise want to see my own midwife. So gotta save up some money. Definately don't want a repeat of last time!

Heaven Sent - goodluck getting the mirena out, hope it sorts out some problems. I got my implanon out the other day, geez it hurt, i have to keep the bandage on for the rest of the week, but i hope it heals ok and just waiting for AF to show up and see what my cycle is up to. Hopefully it goes back to being regular.

Mmm, that's a shame about the contraception issue. I hope it settles down for you would be so annoying. I don't think i'll get the implanon again, it kinda hurt and i'm a sook. I'd probably just go back on the pill after next bubs.

Yeah i hate contraception and so does my body sends me loopy lol.The only thing i am ok with is the proper pill, but i am bf so cant take that lol.The spotting seems to be settling down alot,it only seems to be there when i wipe now.So im glad that it has finally settled down,i wont hold my breath though.I cant use the normal condoms can only use the latex free ones cause im allergic to the latex ones.

I have had the implanon before and i had a heavy period for 3 months. It wasnt nice so i had to get it taken out.It hurt when they took it out and they couldnt find it so they had to dig deeper.I have a big scar there now.

My tooth still hurts which is bollocks! lol.

OMG Emevity those outfits are too too cute! I got Joshy one of the same outfits the one with the stars when he was younger, i loved that outfit so much! Good idea to get stuff now when it's on special anyways, who cares if you don't need it for a year or two! :D

I am really clucky. I went to my cousins baby's naming day today and she was just so so cute, such a tiny little thing! And then my other cousin who's a total idiot is due next week to have a baby girl aswell. Her son is only 2 months older than Josh, so i feel i am definately behind in the numbers and need to catch up! LMAO! So man, i so am ready. i am sneaking in here, we so want a third however i only had dd2 in janurary. i havent even returned to being fertile yet, so will have to wait and see how long that is. dh and i want 4 children all close together and want to be finished having all our children by the age of 30 we are both 25 this yr so plenty of time for 2 more. dh is working hard to get his web shop going this week and if all goes well within a few months we should know financially that we are stable and debt free.

Thanks for the reply

Well i don't think I could be pregnant, its more I WANT to be pregnant. I don't actually have any reason to think I am apart from the fact that we are TTC... I don't have any symptoms I am just eager (first month trying). I am just too impatient to wait for AF!!!! Hehe

Sorry I have jumped on a little late but although we are TTC since Oct 06, it has been a little different for us as hubby has problems in the bedroom so although we have been TTC since Oct 06, it doesn't really count as you need the little boys to make it count. We have now started to DIY IUI and I am sooooooooo over it as I have been wanting a bub for so long and I feel that all the fun has been taken out of it. I feel like such a b*tch to my hubby as he can't help it, but it is very frustrating.I know I am not the only one out there with this problem but I still feel like the only one.So my point is, although we have been trying, it has been useless trying. It has more been practising to TTC. So I understand where everyone is coming from.Sorry for the long entry just had to get it all off my chest.Jess

Jess :hugs: I cannot try to understand what you are going through but i can understand your frustrations, i hope it happens for you and hubby soon and you find a way to have your baby.

HayleyD - OSFA is one size fits all. :) Also i think you can get pregnancy tests to test like a week before your period is due. I'd just wait for AF though and if you are late, then test, no point testing early, big waste of money and stress! Hope it happens for you guys soon

Unhindered! welcome to our thread. Well with your amazing second birth i can see why you'd wanna go back for more! I am the same want to have 4 kids by the time i'm 30, i'm 26 in August, so i only have 4 years to have 3 more kids! LMAO, think i might be pushing it, but we shall see how we go.

I am definately getting more inclined to start trying sooner. I can't wait to meet up with some others from the Home Midwife Association so i can find out as much as i can about homebirth and feel more confident to give birth at home. I also have second thoughts about having a winter baby, i really hate the cold and don't wanna breastfeed 5 or so times a night in the freezing cold! lol. So if it does happen that would be wonderful, but if it happens to go back to our original plan of October, i guess that i will be happy with that too.

I am just loving DS at this age and he is so good with babies, he loves them. But then again, he also loves dogs and we aint getting one of them! Well i'm rambling. Have fun all ;)

:hugs: Jess it must be a very emotional time for you and dh. Fingers crossed that a bfp happens for you soon.

Hi Vee  i was a bit stumped with the OSFA meaning as well, i know now. Wow 3 more in 4 yrs your gonna be busy  but well worth it. I have been having exactly the same thoughts re having a baby in winter and it being cold during the night, maybe i am just to use to summer bubs. I was also thinking that october would be a great month to have a baby i am a bit biased as my birthday is in october and i loved it growing up as just after the b'day presents wear off you get more at christmas.

Yes i think homebirthing can become addictive especially with nothing interfering with that natural high. I'm sure you will find a great midwife and enjoy the meetings, lots of support both in real life and on line .

P.S. i grew up on the sunny coast, i live interstate now though.

11-06-2007, 22:28
Thanks Unhindered, yeah i think i timed it perfectly with DS being a November bub, bit close to chrissy but weatherwise it was perfect, not cold and not quite hot either. So yeah i was thinking if i wait till Oct next baby will be due around June/July which is like this time next year, and i'm freezing, so thought, do i really wanna have a bubs in the winter?? Not sure on that one.

That's so cool you grew up on the Sunnie Coast, this is pretty much where i grew up was born in Brissy and have lived in Sydney for a few years after school and that. It's great here. :)

Thanks for the assurance about the homebirth aspect, it is very appealing and your amazing story probably drew me closer to coming to that decision, so thank you so much for sharing. :) I hope i find a good middie too :fingerscrossed:

Hi All,

I have been thinking about whether to have a winter or summer baby and DH and I have decided whenever it happens, we will be soooo greatful.

In saying that, I do not want a November baby as there are 11 of us in November in the span of 1.5 weeks and all on my mums side. I found it hard growing up having to share my birthday with everyone else, but if it happens to be a Nov baby then so be it.

Thank you for the support and letting me into your thread. I don't seem to fit in any thread properly at the moment. We are due to see the fertility specialist in about 4 weeks to discuss DH and our options.

Well I had better go as I have to go to the hospital to have a bone marrow biopsy.

Keep smiling all.

Hey Kristi, hopefully it happens when you want it to, i think it's great to make plans but also things don't always go to plan so you need to keep an open mind.

I am still waiting for AF to show up, it's been just over a week since i got the implanon out. I am on antibiotics too for my wisdom tooth removal, my face is swollen and now my jaw is bruised, so it looks like DH has been beating on me or something. Got some strange looks at the shops today.

I also hate taking antibiotics i feel really sore 'down there' and i think it's cause of the antibiotics. They just don't agree with me. Ahwell only one more days worth then hopefully all returns to normal.

And can't wait for AF to rock up so i can start charting my cycles :)

Hi everyone,

Jess glad it all went ok, i think you and your dh must have a very special bond to support each other through this difficult time. Good on you both for not letting it drive you apart.

Kymmy yes i did have an unassisted pregnancy didnt even pee on a stick. For me it was way less stressfull not to have a care provider. My dh was my support person during labour/birth although he was asleep through most of the intense stuff, i only woke him cause i knew i would need help to get back up the stairs to the shower. It was great in the end as he helped to catch her as she came out so quickly. DD1 slept through it all and woke up within a minute of her birth. We did have my good friend on stand by to look after her if i went on to labour through out the day as my first labour was nearly 68hrs long so i was not to sure how long my secong labour was going to be. But yeah i wasnt sick just pregnant so why would i need to see someone. Unless my instincts drew me to seek out a midwife then i will be doing the same again.

Vee i hear ya on the wisdom tooth removal, i had to have all four still impacted and four other teeth removed before i got my braces put on. Not fun at all i lived off yohgurt for six months ick cant stand to eat yohgurt now. Hope all the bruising and swelling settles down for you soon. Hope your cycles resume for you soon, i have not had implanon but did have the mirena iud in, nasty stuff, i think it contributed to the two m/c's i had last year.

Kristi hope everything turns out how you want it too re being pregnant or not. It is hard when you want something really bad but logically you know it shouldn't happen yet.

Us, going well dh and i have decided that when my cycles resume and if financially we are sorted out then we will start trying, although i become pregnant first time every time so we have to make sure we are ready. Although we are confident that the timing will happen when it is supposed too, so who knows i don't think my cycles will resume till the end of the year anyway.

I am so emotional and hormonal its not even funny. I have been crying a lot, I am not sure what is wrong with me.
I just had AF so I don't think I am pregnant (could be wrong). But I had some weird dreams this week. Last night it was that I was birthing and there was my kids and hubby but he was talking to someone and it was irritating (hubby love s to talk to strangers ). I woke as the baby was crowning (no pain!) and I woke up thinking I was pregnant, felt my belly and I thought to myself, oh I feel like 5 months not 9 (yeah I am not thin)
Hmm anyone else dreaming? What does my dream mean?

Hey Bekky - glad you found our thread hun! :D Yeah it does suck waiting, but i guess good things are worth waiting for.

Kristi - Bring on AF sending lots of vibes :wizard:

Jac - OMG!! How cool! You never know what may happen hun, how exciting!!

Well a bit of an update, i spent a few hours this morning in hospital with stomach cramps. It was excruciating. Turns out because i have a history of a stomach ulcer, which i only found out about two months ago that i had a stomach ulcer and was lead to believe it was nothing major, take antibiotics and it will be alright. Anywho when i had my wisdom teeth out i had been taking nurofen, which i now found out is not recommended when you have a stomach ulcer, so i was doubled over in pain it was worse than labour cause at least labour pains eased, this didnt. I was crying after not being able to sleep and at 3:30am i woke mum to take me to the hospital. Thank god i didn't have to wait to be seen although they did take their time with everything, they said the'd be ten minutes with certain things which ended up being 30 mins, so i ended up being there for 3 hours. But at least the cramps have stopped. Now i know not to take nurofen cause of my stomach ulcer. :( God it was painful, still feeling yuk and i have a bloody uni exam tomorrow which sucks.

Anywho, sorry it's long, just wanted to vent aswell. Also AF isn't here yet, thought i was getting her the other day, but nothing. So still waiting.

Hope everyone else is well :D

Wow, some of them are pretty nasty reactions. I am really turned off contraception since having the implanon, they just muck you about.

Goodluck on Monday Jac, you'll be so relieved to have it out and stop bleeding.

I'm still waiting for AF, but feeling like ****e so don't really care about TTC or anything right now. We'll also be moving into our new house in about 2 weeks time so will be busy with that too. Otherwise it's all going well and still can't wait to TTC.

Hope everyone is feeling okay. :hugs:

We are also letting nature take its course. I am not interested in chemical or invasive contraception. I am breastfeeding but not exclusively so trying to avoid getting pregnant. Not abstinent though. :D
Next AF is due in a fortnight.

Yeah, not being able to drink for my birthday would suck either, but i haven't drunk for ages any way even though i could have. So doesn't really bother me.

I just started to take my pregnancy multivitamins and am tempted to start a TTC journal. What about you Jac, you going to start a journal now that you'll be TTC?

Hey ladies!!!

I just read few a few of the recent posts on here. V8 good to see I am not the only early starter! I couldn't help myself, as you would know from earlier posts.

Well now I am a bit confused. I had the implanon out, had a 25 day cycle and now I am 2 days late for AF (if i am 28 day cycle) or 5 days late (if I am a 25 day cycle). But then again I could also just not have a proper cycle because I haven't had implanon out for that long:confused:

So anyway I did a test a few days ago and also today and both times got :bfn: . I don't have my hopes up cos it's only early days but I wish now that I had waited a few cycles so I knew what I was like.

I just thought I would quickly pop on to let you know how I am travelling. I will try to keep updated with the thread!!!

Hope you are all doing well!!!

Hey HayleyD - Not too sure what's going on there hun, i'd probably wait another 3-7 days and test again if AF doesnt show up. I will probably wait till the second week of July to see if AF shows up and then maybe test. I am the same trying not to get my hopes up and if it takes a few months, i'm happy too. Funny that we caved! hehe!

Jac - Glad it wasn't painful but yeah still uncomfy. Good idea to start taking pregnancy multivitamins too. I think i'll start a TTC diary at the end of next month or something.

Have fun everyone!

Hey V8 are you going to do temping etc and checking cm?Im thinking of doing this because i am still bf and don't know if/when i will o.

Have you started bedding yet?We haven't i think we might start tonight :D,sorry if its a bit personal lol im just excited.

With Serena and Sasha i didn't do any of the temping stuff,i just used an ovulation calendar, but i think its going to be harder to ttc this time .

Oh well im off to look for some temping charts :fingerscrossed:

V8
26-06-2007, 14:58
Hey Jac, well i probably won't start temping straight off, never had to before so hopefully wont have to now either. BD'ing has started but only the once so far as i was pretty sure i was ovulating by checking my CM, that's the only indicator i'm using at the moment cause AF hasn't returned yet.

I guess it would be the same for you just getting the mirena out you wouldn't be sure what your cycle is doing.

Today is 3 days after we DTD and i have been feeling really crampy in my ovaries today. Feels like AF pains, but will have to wait and see. I have no idea what my cycle would be doing cause of just getting the implanon out. I think we'll get a bit more involved next month as i think it would be too late now this month and close to when AF should be coming. Ovulation calendars are a great tool, i think i'll look at using one when i get AF back.

Hey Jac, also since getting the implanon out my sex drive has probably increased heaps, so hopefully you get the same interest back after having your mirena out.

Also, just incase i don't get AF for ages, what is the earliest you can test for a BFP, i have no idea. :)

Thanks! :D Have fun!

♥Heaven Sent♥
26-06-2007, 15:04
I just looked at fertility friend, its a bit weird wouldnt have a clue how to use it lol,i reckon checking cm is the way to go.

I would say that the pains would be oing pains, have you got egg white cm?If so start bedding NOW lol.Hahahahah.

I think the earliest you can test is about 7-10 days after conception so 7-10 days after you bed,but be aware that most peoples bfp's don't show up that early, mine didnt show up until 3 weeks after AF was due.

I actually feel like bedding already and ive only had it out for 1 day,the doc said that it wouldn't be from the mirena but i say bah to her lol,i know my body.

I hope we both get bfp's this month that would be cool.

V8
26-06-2007, 15:14
Thanks for that Jac, i agree with Fertility friend, i can't work that thingy out! lol It could be o'ing pains, i was hoping it may be implantation pains! :D hehe. But yeah, not getting my hopes up, there is no mucous today or anything but definately was there 3 days ago when we BD'd.

That's good to hear you got your sex drive back already, i think it also makes a difference knowing that you are fertile again and gets you in the mood, nothing sexier than wanting to make a baby! lol

Thanks for the tip about the preg tests too, think i'll wait 2 weeks for AF and if she doesn't show up i may test. It could take a while before she comes cause of the implanon anyways, so i guess i can't do much but wait. And that would be so cool if we got BFPs next month, that would be awesome! :D

Do you feel pregnant?

I definitely have Af so i will be able to start ttc soon,i have estimated that i will o around the 17th July and will get an accurate test result about 7th of august(will prob cave before then lol) because my bfp's dont show up until 3 weeks past conception.

My friend is ttc # 3 too and we have pretty much got pregnant the same time twice so wondering if its going to be third time lucky haha.

How are you going V8?I see we posted at the same time, for our ttc diary, great minds think alike ;).

So waiting 3 days to test do you think you will hold out that long

V8
30-06-2007, 19:00
Hey Jac, yay AF is gone, that's so cool, and wow that would be funny if you and your friend conceive number 3 at the same time too. Haha and yeah didn't update my diary yesterday so decided to do it today. ;) Great minds do think alike. :D

I am really really going to try and hold out at least 3 days, you see i have no idea when to test really, last time i tested as AF was late, this time i don't know what my cycle is so i won't know if i'm late or not, i just not how long it's been since we BD'd hehe! But yeah, going to try and hold out a couple of days even though that's hard. My twin sister is so funny she comes over today and the first thing she said to me is 'are you pregnant yet?' in front of my mum, lol! I said, i dunno, what do you reckon? I said that as last time she got my morning sickness symptoms and i got nothing, so i figured she may be able to tell me! lol. But anyways still too early to tell for sure.

Kymmy - I'm sure it will happen when you guys want to, i think it would be daunting going for the 4th in a way as you know it means a bigger car, possibly bigger house etc. I am sh*t scared about number 2, but will be happy when it does happen. Today i was at the shops picturing myself walking around with a new baby in a sling, so that was weird! lol I think it will be nice and DH can't wait. :D

TLS, cool only one more month! Goodluck, are you taking any preg vitamins and stuff?

Well looks like if i dont get a BFP this month i'll be waiting a while, cause DH is going to the Philippines for a month cause his grandad is dying. So will probably test while he's away if AF doesn't show. Gotta move house and everything without him here, bit annoying but can't help it really.

I feel a bit nervous barging in here but I have been lurking for a while and couldn't keep my trap shut any longer:wave:

We too are waiting to TTC bub #2.We have decided to try and wait till October/November because I want this pregnancy to be planned and I want to feel strong and capable as I had a icky pregnancy and difficult labour last time around.Having said that though we have stopped the birth control so whilst we are not officially 'trying' yet, if it happens it happens!

I feel a bit obsessed too right now but I think it's because i am on uni holidays and have more time to daydream.I've been lurking around bubhub like an addict after a fix :D

I have also been watching births on You Tube :o

And I don't think the library has any pregnancy books left after I raided the section last week!

My uni wall planner is covered in red nikko from me planning out my guestimated fertility for the rest of the year.

I'm trying to get my head around cervical mucous:barf: etc etc.

so , Yes , My name is Lisa and I am an TTCAHOLIC

nice to 'meet' you!

Thanks Greksta, you're so sweet! :)

Welcome Lisa, haha, you sound exactly like me, we were originally planning on waiting till Oct aswell cause i would have next bub due after first semester of uni next year was finished. But we aren't on any contraception either. Also i agree being on uni holidays means i am totally daydreaming about being pregnant all the time! lol

This will also be bubs number 2 for us. DS is nearly 20months old. How old is your 1st?

V8- Our daughter grace will be three in August. We fell pregnant accidently and quite unexpectantly first time around and after childbirth I vowed never to have any more:no:

But then my precious bubba turned into my little/big girl andI started missing having a bubby around. She grew up so quickly! And then my sis had her first baby and I fell in love with her and the idea of another started to grow on me.

AND THEN my period was late and I did a test and got a faint:bfp: and I started to really think about it......then I retested and got a :bfn: and then AF came and I was devestated. My DP couldn't understand what was wrong with me because I had been so against it for so long my whole family had kind of given up that we would have anymore.

So then we started talking about it and after a while he came around and now here we are!

Your little man is so handsome by the way, I'll need to upload a photo and stop my shameless lurking.

What are you studying?
