I had a bit of an upset tummy with it. I was on 1000mg 5 times a day with insulin for gestatonal diabetes.

Hey there, I'm on 500gm 3 times a day but got really sick with vomiting and Diarrhea so i stopped taking it, now im just on 500gms once a day but still have the diarrhea.
The way i look at it though is its only a small pain to go through so i can have the reward at the end which = a baby

Hi,
I'm on 500mg twice a day. I have been on it twice in the last four years. I had a break of 2 years. When I started it both times I had diaeorahh ( sorry about the spelling) for about 5 weeks both times. My doctor told me it would eventually settle when my body got used to the drug. The first time I took it I fell pregnant after 4 months.

im on 500mg 3 times daily

had the most awfulest stomach ache/wierd pains/wind (TMI - and have to run to loo as it follows thru )
and all i wanna do is hurl

Hi there,I was so scared when I started the met about 7 weeks ago...but I had NOTHING! No side effects (which was good because we were travelling when I started it)...I am on 1000mg Diabex XR (extended release metformin). Since I started it, Ive had two cycles (42 days long tho, ugh), and it seems I ovulated last cycle for the first time since I got pg with Carter! Good luck!
