I voted:

Snaps
OSFA or sized, doesnt bother me
Fitteds
Wool covers

I am quite picky with my nappies...I find it narrows the field down a lot and makes it easier to resist buying nappies....

If you know what you like and ignore the rest you avoid impulse purchases a bit more...ALTHOUGH it takes quite a bit of trial and error to know what you do and dont like...

I wouldnt suggest sticking to one type straight off, you need to try things before you can exclude them.

I voted..

snaps
specific size
Fitted Nappies
PUL covers
Wool covers

but i also like...

Baby Beehinds - they are a OSFM
A12's - such as BerryPlush
Fleece covers

ETA - when i say wool covers i mean knitted longies/shorties/soakers ect.. not the wool fabric type like the baby beehinds ones.

I prefer pockets, snaps (because DD rips off velcro) and a certain size. I suppose if DD was smaller, OSFA would be useful... but she's a bigger girl and so I figure I'll get more use out of certained sized items than OSFA (because with most OSFAs, she's very close to the max size).

I am going to try some BBB with a fleece cover for night, but I dunno how they'll go. I'll let you know.

I didn't vote 'cause all of them are good in one way or another & i have a variety in my stash!!

Velcro is great when DD is being painful at nappy changes, they take less time to do up - and seconds count when you have to pin her down to changer her. lol. she can undo snaps & velco so that doeasn't matter.
I have NEVER had a leak with a baby beehind fitted and cover (PUL or wool) during the daytime (always use wool at night) so prefer them for long outings/car trips where changing may be infrequent.
One sized are great as i have 2 in nappies, but i also like the sized ones as they are a bit trimmer on DS since he is so small, so they fit better under clothes.
AI2 (don't have an AIO) are great as they are handy (just like pockets) and are quick drying!

Can i just sumarise by saying 0 get a baby beehinds part-time pack & supplement it with some sized pockets/AIO/AI2!!

Terry flats with a snappi nappi and PVC pilchers.

Though Jodiee sent me a Baby BeeHind cover the other day and I love that. (Thankyou!!)

Different things have their place...

For example, I voted for both pul covers AND wool.. Pul covers are so handy at times- other times, I love wool longies, soakers and shorties- but handknitted wool- not a fan of wool jersey/other wool covers.

I do like a OSFA, but have mostly sized nappies (fitteds and pockets). Most babies reach the size required for a large so fast, that they are still an economical option (and you can just skip the smaller sizes!- for example, Dream Eze, Itti Bitti... etc). Actually, many times, a medium fits through to toilet training anyway (such as with Bits for Bots pockets).

The only clear answer I could give was for snaps... looove snaps!

Am I allowed to ask why there was no option for terry flats?? Are they classed as old fashioned these days?

I'm a terry flat fanatic, lol.

LOL!!

Sorry I was just wanting to see what you all like with these mcn's as I am going to start using them lol!! :D

lol, I must be the only one who isn't interested in MCN's. Though I do admit, it is the cost that is the main reason. If it was my first baby and I knew I was going to have 4 kids, then I would consider it.

But I do love my flats.......even if they are surgeon green (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/angel_kisses9798/bbh.jpg). :D

LOL
Do you use funky covers for them or just use those pilcher thingys?

FourAngelKisses
18-05-2007, 19:12
Just PVC pilchers. But Jodiee sent me a BBH cover a couple of weeks ago which I love (feels like a canvas tent lol)....so I might buy 2 more the next size up as his legs are too fat for the small size.

It is just so rare these days that people have the generosity to give their clothing away (with ebay around and all)

FourAngelKisses

Yep, very rare.

There are a few ppl who are quite happy to use flats and not fitteds etc. You are not the only one Jeanette! I promise :)
