Question about birth weight..

This might sound really silly, but Im just wondering if someone could tell me what Christian weighed at birth..

I have a paper converter from the hospital, its a print out sheet, and when I go to 3.880kg, it says 8lb, 9oz...

When I go on the net, it comes up 8lb, 5oz..

Now, I did jeanettes Troy's weight, dont know why, just cause she had down 8lb, 11oz for troy, who was 3.59kg, different converter, different weight..

How come when you go to different converters, you get different weights??

Just wondering what he weighed..

im not in your birth group. but maybe next time u go see the CHN ask them, they usually have a converter there :thumbsup:

Lily was 3.86kg and when i looked at the chart at the CHN it converted to just over 8lbs 8oz

Most of the converters on the net dont give you the ounces (they give you the decimal, for instance when I do Lily's weight i get 8.49lbs, and there are 16oz in a pound so i do .49 X 16 and you get 8 ounces)

Troys weight always throws me too, since he was less than Lily in kilos but he ends up being more in pounds.

Ok, because there is 16oz in a pound (for example) 8lb 8oz is 8 and a half pound and on some dome converters comes up and 8lb 5 which means 8lb 8oz..

Sorry if it doesnt make sence but the reason it comes up 8lb 5 is just telling you it is 8 and a half pounds which is 8lb 8 oz...

No, that makes sense now, I see, so it says 8.55, so that is basically 8lb, and a half lb, which makes it 8lb just over 8oz..

What a bimbo, Im so embarrased, why didnt I see that..

They certainly have a strange way of working things out. I can never understand the whole pounds and ounces thing, I think I will work in kilo's! Much easier to understand! Or maybe I'm just a dumb bimbo?.. :confused: haha.. Maths was never my fort'e (sp)...

My DS2 was 3.59kg and the hospy converted that to 7lbs 14ozs. I have asked the hospy to convert it for me each time.
DS1 was 3.89kg = 8lbs 9ozs
DD1 was 3.61kg = 8lbs
DD2 was 3.87kg = 8lbs 8ozs

When they weighed Troy, they set the scales on KG, weighed him and took him off. Then they put them on lb's and put him back on.

But I can never convert either, lol.

And Jodie, looking at that chart thing you posted, Jacob was only 10lb 13.5oz. :confused:
