Hi all,
I have signed up on this site in the hope of getting some positives for my teenage daughter who is 10 weeks and having bouts of uncertanty and depression. I would really appreciate if anyone could give her some hope and positives of having her baby. This should be such a special time for her but at the moment it is all doom and gloom.
Pls Help!!!:;)

ashelighs mum congrats to your daughter and well done for supporting her i have read so many stories and heard many where there child is too scared to tell their parents and their parents don't support them. that is only my opinion. Anyway your child should be enjoying this stage in her life. Yes it will be a huge change for her but with you by her side changes will be able to be overcome more easily with you there to offer support and help. i myself am a young mum. i had my child at 18 (pregnant at 17, though i was engaged) and my second child at 21. If you daughter would like to chat or email me then i would be happy to lend and ear and some cyber support. Oh and welcome to the bub hub it really is a truly friendly and supportive site.

Congrats to you and your daughter.

Your title also grabbed my attention, as i am the youngest of 4 ( i have 2 older brothers and a older sister) and my mum has been telling ppl her baby is having a baby.

Its great to see that your daughter has the support from you, i have had alot of friends in the same situation as your daughter and they couldnt count on their mums.

Im a couple of years older (im 21 and 17 weeks pregnant) but i id be happy to lend a cyber ear to your daughter as well.

good on you for supporting ur daughter... it really helps having the love and support of her family...

i am willing to talk to her via email or msn.. it helps having people the same age in the same situations... maybe get her to look around for a young mums or parents group in your area...

i went to the one at stafford and i loved it... a way to meet more people again in the same situation...

[COLOR="Magenta"]ashleighs mum- congrtaulations.. you are going to be a grandma! yay.. and your daughter will be a mum!
She is very lucky to have such a supportive mum.. I know most mums would freak out at the thought of their teenage daughter having a baby! She is very lucky!

It is scary for a teenager to be pregnant expecially if she had plans for her future! There is nothing to say that she still cant follow her dream.. they will now just include some one else.. some one very important who she will become to love more than anyone in the whole world! HER OWN BABY!
No one is saying it is going to be asy.. but it is very rewarding!

My mum gave birth to me at 18 and she is the most wonderful and fantastic mother in the whole world.. I wouldnt be the person I am today with out her and she wouldnt change anything for the world! Yes my parents struggled a little when I was younger but after working hard she is very sucessful as a mother and in her career!

I hope she cheers up soon.. this is one of the most special and rewarding times in her life... and this is only the beginning!

Well done!

Hi,
Thanks for your words of encouragement, I can only hope that ash gets through all of the doubt and uncertainty and starts to enjoy this pregnancy and gets to feel the love and joy of being a mum. I know I have felt so much love and joy with my 4 daughters (along with the tears and tantrums!!), even though there have been many tough times especially when I had 3 under 5 as a single mum, but I would not change a day of my life since the birth of my children, I can only hope that Ash will give herself the chance to feel this.
Congratulations on Paige Grace she is beautiful and hers is one of the names I suggested to Ash!!:).

Hi Ash's mum. Its great that you are being so supportive of your daughter and congrats to you both on the impending arrival of a beautiful new family member. I remember my mum once telling me that she couldn't believe her baby (my sis) was having a baby. I dont think my mum expected to be a grandma at 38. And now 18 years later i have added to the group as well. Mum is like a new grandma all over again. without her support i dont know where i would be.

as you can tell we are all very supportive of each other and would all be happy to chat with your daughter and show her some of the positives to expecting a beautiful bub. Hope to continue chatting with you as well.

take care!

Congrats and Thank you on behalf of ALL daughters (regardless of age) for being supportive of this time in her life. My Mum is over the moon about having the kids (as toddlers) but was less than impressed at me being pregnant ... but that was just her.

I'm going to ask one thing though: is the father involved? (I'll pull my head back in, I was just curious)
