View Full Version : Medication
My daughter's on antibiotics at the moment. The doc said to take it all until finished. We picked up the prescription from the chemist and the bottle is about a quater full and we got a repeat.
Does 'take it until finished' mean the repeat too? If so, why don't they just fill the bottle to that amount?
Give your doctor a call and ask them to see if the repeat is required also.
Also with antibiotics as a liquid they usually don't last very long - they usually have on the label to discard contents after a specific date.

Whenever I've gotten antibiotics for DD, the repeat is a 'just in case' - we only get the repeat filled and give it to DD if the symptoms haven't cleared up.
But as Miaow said, it's best to check with the Dr directly. If you phone with the question the receptionist will usually check and then call you back with the answer - no charge.
