Just a quick question for you more knowledgable mums out there......

I have just been told (by someone I don't particularly trust every word from) that I am supposed to be worming my kids every 3 months???

Is that correct?

I'm just wondering if that is the case, why hasn't it ever been mentioned by DS, or DD healthcare nurses at ANY of their check ups, or by my gp???

 no , not true. i never worm my kids ( unless they have worms)
i don't see the point in putting that medication through their little systems for no reason.

i do like to cook with garlic hoping that this will natural keep the parasites away:thumbsup:

Was told by my CN to only worm when child presents symptoms as it is a medicine and should only be given as a treatment, not a preventative.

thanks for the replies, and your link Tally. I was beginning to feel like I had been neglecting them all this time!!!

This person who told me this info claims that it is standard practice where she lives in NSW.

Maybe they just have more worms there in her area
