Matthew cut his first tooth at 8wks (eagerly watching Troy now that he is 6wks old, lol). I just gave him panadol to help and that got him through.

I got my first tooth at 15months!!
Just found my DD's first tooth last night, she is 5 1/2 months old and has been chewing like crazy for weeks. I think average is about 6 months but they are all different.
I've heard that it's possible for babies to be born with teeth, so teething at 15 weeks isn't impossible! I'd give panadol, if bub's seems to be in pain, and get one of those teething rings that you put in the fridge - Mitchell loves to knaw on them when he's teething.
EJ didnt get a tooth till 9mths but was showing some signs of teeth from about 4mths. Her cousin had a tooth nearly come though at 4ths but it ended up moving back down.

my Ds is teething as well his 3months old i bought him a teething ring and just give him panadol when i feel he needs it. He dribbles alot as well and has a running nose i feel sorry for the poor bub :(
Nathan started teething when he was around 3 mths old. Now he's 6 mths and still no teeth in sight..
I get him teething gel and sometimes panadol or even nurofen, if he has a temparature, that seems to calm him down a bit.
The other day, he refused all solids, just wanted his milk, I thought, his gum must be really sore and the teeth will probably break through now but nothing happened.
Oh well, I'm sure, one day, he'll have all of them, until then, there's not much we can do..

I don't think there is a typical age.
It varies.
Chloe started teething around three months. started getting rough around five months.
Then she had a tooth before we knew it.
She's 8 months old in 11 days and she has two teeth and two teeth up the top pushing through.
No, there's no typicall age. Most kids have their first teeth with about 6 mths.
Jason, my older one, he had his first one with 5 mths and my niece, she's now 11 mth and last time I've seen her, that was when she was around 9 mths old, she didn't had one tooth.
Each child is different, some are teething easier, some have a bit more Problems with it.
My ds was showing teething signs since he was 3 months old. And he cut his first tooth just before 5 months. he's 9.5 months now and he has 2 bottom teeth and 4 top teeth (coming out all at once). :D
I have met 2 babies who are 12 months old and still haven't got their first teeth. One of the babies' parents are both dentist:eek: . So, it does vary from baby to baby! and when the teeth want to come out they will come out.
I think alot of babies start to chew on things, and coz of this also dribble alot, at 3-4mths old. It could be teething, but it also could just be a normal development stage.
Both my bubs started to chew on their hands, etc, at about 3-4mths old. DD got her first tooth at 7mths, so average age, she also stopped chewing as much after the first tooth came thru. DS was very different tho, he started chewing on things at 3mths, then stopped at about 6-8mths and then finally got his first tooth thru when he was 17mths old!
I agree with the others, just give bub panadol if he seems to be in pain, otherwise just leave him to his chewing...and get used to things being covered in baby dribble :D

My bub is 8 months. Up until yesterday he had only 2 teeth on the bottom and then yesterday I noticed all 4 teeth on top have come through. Poor bub, no wonder I was up all night with him the other night.
