Oh no. Sorry to hear that Jess. What a real downer especially for the fact that Alyvea looked so damn cute in MCN.
Can i ask why you're making the switch back to sposies ?

Have you tried changing the washing powder to say.. something like Omo sensitive or Amoline and giving it another go ? It might be a reaction to washing power.
I remember you saying that your DD also had a reaction to sposies, have you gone to the docs about it ?
I would be looking for the cause of this to happen. Surely theres an explanation for it.

didnt you change to cloth in the first place because she got that rash?
could it be thrush or another fungal type thing?
Poor Dianne :(

:-( So sad! The berry plushes are exy arent they? Our budget certainly wouldnt extend to a whole stash of them! On the topic of laundry detergents- even when using Amolin or Omo Sensitive or Planet Ark DD gets bad rashes. Only with Natural Instinct (from chemists/ healthfood stores) did the rashes clear up. Still have to use sposies for night and change her naps v regularly during the day.

I have been using terry flats while I am building up my MCN and he is getting a very red bot from those. I dont think it is my washing powder though because he is fine with MCN just the Terry Flats are a bit sucky. I change him regularly too, as they get wet pretty quick
He never got rashes in sposies.Good luck
Chocolate Mud Cake, you could try some fleece liners in the nappies, as they draw moisture away from bubs bum... it might help with the rashes.
I'm so sorry Jess :(.
I hope you find a solution soon :hugs:

Hi Jess,
This is a bit off topic, but have you tried keeping a diary of everything your littel one eats? As well as the nappy she is wearing, what soap your using etc.....
Might help to pinpoint the problem for you. Don't know if your doc has told you but min esaid that reactions, esp to foods can take up to three days to show up.
Good Luck, sad to hear you have had to switch back!

I'd be checking her diet and cutting out soap. Only bath her in natural washes, or sorbeline cream.
:hugs: It is heart breaking, but maybe look into other aspects, not just the nappies?

That sucks, poor bubs :(. I was wondering the other day if you'd managed to figure out what was causing the rash.
Have you gotten a second or third opinion from another dr? Someones gotta have an idea of what is causing it.

my DD gets a rash when we use disposible/flushable and normal liners... the only thing that works is nothing at all or fleece liners....

If she is pooing a lot, and it's a runny or yucky poo then thats whats causing the rash, it will be the poo itself, not the nappy. It's all related, if milk makes her sick then it will make her poos yucky and giver her a rash

It sounds to me like she is dairy intollerant?
If i was you i would rule out giving her any dairy and see how her rash goes then?

Jess you can get a special cream from the chemist, you have to ask them to order it in though.. and it makes a waterproof seal over bubs bottom for very bad rashes.. and it is removed with this spray stuff. Paramedics told me this lol!
