Hi everyone!
Need some help.
I am interested in how I can make homemade icecream. Only problem is, I dont have an icecream maker. Is there any way to make it without?
My auntie just used to buy some quality icecream, soften it, then add things like crushed up chocolate bars etc. It always tasted sooo good! But I was thinking, if you re froze it, would it go all icy?
Any help or recipes would be great!

There are these ball things you can buy to mix the ingredients. Apparently you just get your kids to play with the ball and it mixes it up.
Ew I just found one online, they are really expensive.
i do 600ml cream, 1tsp vanilla and 1 tin condensed milk. beat it up till thick then freeze. U can add extra flavourings too

You CAN make it without... but it takes a lot of time, so you best do it when you're not planning on going anywhere.
I've actually got my cookbook out with a recipe for it... I've never made it but it looks nice in te pics. lol.
It's for Honeycomb ice-cream... I guess you might just omit those ingredients if you wanted plain... and add some vanilla extract or something.
ANYWAY...says here it serves 8.
Ingredients:
1 and 3/4 cups heavy cream (so thickened cream?)
1 and 1/4 cups thick plain yoghurt (so Greek style?)
1 tbsp vanilla extract
4 tbsp honey
4 tbsp maple syrup
3 honeycomb choc bars, broken into small chunks.
Method:
Whisk the cream in large bowl until thickened, then fold in yoghurt followed by vanilla extract, honey and maple syrup.
Pour mixture into large freezerproof container with a lid and freeze for 2 hours.
Remove from Freezer and beat with a whisk or fork to break up ice crystals. Stir in honeycomb, return to freezer and freeze for 2 hours.
Beat again, as before, and return to freezer for another 2 hours.
Beat again, and return to freezer for another 2 hours.
Beat AGAIN and return to freezer for yet until solid.
Remove ice-cream from freezer 45 mins before serving to let it soften.
So it's a pretty basic process... it just takes forever and ever...
Lol.
