Hi Everyone,

I have decided to go with flat nappies for our little bubby but, the nappies I went to buy from Big W didn't look very absorbent. Is there a brand of terry flat that is better than others?

I got the Dry Glo (i think) & we've had no problems with them at all :)

Another cloth nappy user!!:) We seem to be a very small minority.

We also use the Dry Glo. The Bright Bots coloured flats are also good but they took a few washer/dryer cycles to become really absorbant.

We also have some MiNappy shaped cloth nappies and these are excellent. They are shaped more like a disposable and are fully adjustable so they continue to fit as bub grows. I found these fit under clothes a bit better than the traditional flats but they are pretty expensive (~ $ 12 ea).

I've used the Canningvale Nappies, which have lasted through three children so far, and loved them. They're a little more expensive than some other brands, but the money is well spent. They're large and absorbent and wear extremely well.
You can always 'boost' your flats with a booster pad, as with fitted cloth nappies.

Canningvale nappies can be bought at your local department store/ baby shop or http://www.cleverpants.com.au
I also just saw some Bamboo towelling flats athttp://www.nurturenappies.com.au, and an organic cotton range. Bamboo is supposed to be really silky, soft, antibacterial, and more absorbent than cotton.

Cheers!:)

We used Canningvale flat terries too. They are sold in David Jones and Myer under the name Happy Nappies (I think). They are very good quality but slightly smaller than some of the other brands (not so much to be a problem though).
