Just wondering if you always change bubs nappy when feeding in the middle of the night? Or do you just leave it till the morning? (when bubs is a bit older??) :detective:

And if you left it was it dispoable or cloth - just wondering about absorbency difference.

Its just some nights when D is in bed with us feeding, it sucks to get up and change a nappy!!!

I only change it if she poops, otherwise it will stay on all night, both mcn and sposie.

I stopped doing changing her nappy when she got older - unless of course she'd pooped.

It's not like I was going to be waking up just to change her nappy once she started to sleep through - or as close to "through" as she does

I only changed if I could smell pee/poo. If you don't wanna get up to change you can always do it on the bed, just make sure you have a changing matt and some bags handy to put the dirty nappy in. Now she sleeps thru 8-7.30am so I don't disturb the peace unless she wakes up in the middle of the night (mostly when she is teething or has a cold) and change it.

Only if poos, that is with Disposables. Why wake them up even more, best to have a dark room and a quiet feed then straight back to sleep. ie teach them night is for sleeping, day for wake! I will do the same in cloth for my next one too.

I only changed when I needed him to "wake" for a feed (in the early days when he would fall asleep halfway through)

Stopped changing at night about 3mnths or so I think.

Thanks! She is getting faster at the night feeds so I hate fully waking her up by exposing her butt to the cold  . I am definitely wanting her to know the difference between night and day real soon!!!

I used 'sposies and I would give the "squishy feel test" (you know the one where you kinda rub the outside between your fingers to see how slippery it is?).... if it wasn't drenched, then it waited till morning (or at least the early morning feed).

Only change at night now when he has pooped or is really wet. That used to be at every feed when he was newborn, and sometime he'd save some for just before he was asleep so he'd manage to wrangle a bit more awake tome. i use both.

Nah I don't change it anymore.
I stopped doing it when he started sleeping through at about 5 months.
He's stopped sleeping through now (in fact he's waking up more than when he was a newborn :banghead: :banghead: ) but I don't change him when he wakes, it just wakes him up more now and he won't settle down again.
He's in disposables.

I change it when she wakes for a feed, I wouldn't particularly like to sleep in a wet nappy myself so don't expect bubs to. When she sleeps through, I will leave it, if she is bothered by it she will wake I figure?
