I had an idea this morning that I think could be a goer if there are enough keen.....

I was thinking it might be fun to organise a Hunter BH "Playgroup" sort of thing.... with structured activities for the kiddies.....

I was thinking that it might be more suited to a monthly meet..... on a regular basis....

It could be hosted by different peoples or whoever is keen, and could include things such as arts & crafts, cooking, outings to places like Hunter Valley Gardens, Oakvale Farm, The Museum, The Pool, etc.....

Say one particular activity each meet.... something just for the kids???

If their are enough people keen I am more than happy to organise things, etc....

Looking forward to peoples ideas and whether you guys have any more ideas to add.... I have a thousand things running round my head.....

Good Idea kaz, maybe each mother could make a different craft or something so everyone gets a turn at supplying the stuff and making the ideas??? so each week is a different mum's turn to do it. im all for it sounds good

I think it's a great idea:smiliedance:
We don't go to Playgroup here anymore as I have to go to Uni on that day instead, so we are always dying to get out of the house!
There seems to enough of us to do something like that!
Once a month sounds excellent, maybe we could alternate between 2 diff days that suit most ppl, say we do it on the first Monday of one month, then the next month it's the first Thursday of the month then the next month it's back to the Monday, etc... if you get what I mean
Sounds great:smiliedance:

DD & I would love to come. We missed the last meet - she got a 39 temp really fast and we spent the arvo at the doctors, then a long week with the inlaws.
I've been promising myself that i would join a play group, but I still havent.

Hi guys

I'm interested in doing this type of thing.
I like the idea of a 'PLAYGROUP' and sitting down with them making things.

Cheers

Ok so I am thinking of looking around for a toy library. Especially for the littlies. The bigger ones I am sure would be entertained with arts and crafts.
Anyone know of a toy library close by?

My bub is still fairly entertained by faces and boob but a few months down the track I'm sure it will be more creative too. I love the idea

I havea 12 month old and a 5 year old, but Thursdays and Friday's he's at preschool so I only have the 12 month old.

Give her a tissue box that she can pull all the tissues out of and she'll be happy- she's easy pleased! lol
