Just wondering if anyone will have a vow renewal or second wedding, and when you would have it?
I am thinking that for our 10th anniversary that I would love to do the whole wedding thing (a bit more casual this time!) to include the girls in some lovely photos and celebration of 10 long hard gruelling years (not! :p ).
I am planning on having a lovely civil celebrant in a pretty garden (we had a church wedding first) then a nice meal to share with our closest family and friends.... I only have 2 years to plan it though
Will you have one?
When dh and I got married, it was very rushed because immigration was going to deport him, so I always said I wanted to have a renewal so we could have everything how we wanted...
I havent mixed feelings..Part of me wants to, then other parts of me thinks the relationship is a mess, why waste money...Then part of me says, dont spend all that money, which could be a deposit for a house, or a new car.
Its something I think about though. I have quite alot of negative feelings towards the wedding we had :o
I always wanted to get married ina garden, and we got married in a registry office...We did however still have our photos done in the gardens.
I was thinking if we ever redone them, I'd like it to be our 10th...I thought maybe our 5th...but It doesnt make sence at the moment, and I cant justify the costs iykwim
Well we did the registry office as our official wedding then we had a renewal of vows which was a ceremony we had after we had Josh and also had his naming at the same time. I really liked it. So i would definately think about doing another renewal of vows for our 10th anniversary and include the kids. I am going to go to Fiji or something exotic for it! That's how we originally wanted to get married, so i think that it would be nice to do after 10 years.

I said yes in 10 years. In saying that though, we did it 1.5 yrs after we got married too. Last year on Valentines Day on Sunrise :D
We are planning it for ten years as well.
We had a huge wedding which to be honest, was more stress than it was worth.
This time we want a small intimate ceremony with just close family and friends. No rush to plan it though... still another 8 years!!

I think vow renewals are a great idea; my parent did it for at their 20th with a traditional Thai ceremony in Phuket. I would do it after 15+ years, to remember what commitment I made, why I made the commitment and to make new commitments and promises for the next 15+ years…

We are planning on renewing as soon as we get some money!
We had a rough trot after we got married and we wanna kinda do the 'start fresh' thing.. if that makes any sense?
We want to do it somewhere nice like a park or a beach, and just have it as a giant party.

I will probably do it for the 20 year anniversary.;)
We have always planned on doing one. No set time when but we have been saving for it ever since our wedding.
We just did the wedding to get it out of the way and get the families of our backs! (living together, engaged and ttc, they just wouldn't let it go that we hadn't done the wedding yet!)
We have always had an idea of our perfect day. I loved my wedding day but it was a compromise. Already have the new dress in my cupboard, location planned (know the people who run it really well now!), reception details, cars, flowers etc planned for the re-affirmation! :o
Just waiting for the right time. Next December will be our 5th wedding anniversary, but we're thinking of waiting until our 10th. 13 is our lucky number and it will be Friday 13th December 2013! We'll both be 31, should be great!

we will most likely be doing ours on our 10th wedding anniversary also, which is also in 2 yrs time!
this one will be a quiet affair though, as we had a pretty big one, when we married.

Most likely when we have our 10th wedding anniversary in five years time. It would be so lovely to have all the kidlets involved this time around.

yup we'll be doing ours at our 10year. hehe we have another 7 years to plan.
We have spoken about doing it when we are 50. So 25 more years to go (which will be 27th wedding anniversary).

Well, Grant and I aren't married yet, but when we DO get married we only want a really small wedding (no more than 20 people), I think it would be a nice idea in 10 years time (after we get married) to renew our vows coz imo its one thing to get married but another to STAY married. Hope that makes sense.

No. Our first wedding was for life. An anniversary party sounds good though. :)
