Hello, I have a 9 month old and am newly pregnant, so I have been thinking about getting the Phil and Teds Explorer with extra toddler seat later on. I feel it’s very expensive so I don’t want to spend the money if it wont carry out my needs for a few years. What I am concerned about I heard that the baby in the back seat could reach down and touch the wheels  . Does anyone know of this happening? Are there any other issues with this pram I should know? Would love advise? Thank you in advance. Kaylene.

Hi Kaylene

I've got one. I bought it for the same reason - the toddler attachment. Don't know about the touching the wheels thing but it was recommended to me by someone with a toddler and they didn't say anything about that so can't help you there.

Is it worth the money - it's very lightweight, handles like a dream and really easy to assemble with one hand. It's a bit hard to get into the sitting position I've found - you need to clip the back up and once in that position I've found that I've had to pad the seat area up with a blanket as the angle is a bit strange - hard to explain but your baby would have to have a triangular shaped bum to sit in it and not have his knees up near his mouth - that's as clear as I can describe it. I'm sure that as the baby grows though the padding won't be needed.

I've found that Nico actually prefers to see me when we are on the move so I've borrowed a pram with a reversible handle for now and hope that he grows out of this phase otherwise I've just bought a very expensive shopping trolley!

Good luck - get the sales people to show you how to work it before you buy it.
