She's asleep now...

but i feel terrible...

Up until tonight my DD 6mths has slept with me- in my bed! But as she can now roll and takes off all over the bed i thought it was time for her to migrate to her cot!!

Well her 3 day sleeps went fantastically, cuddle, kisses into the cot just awake- off to sleep within 10mins- no tears or anything!

But tonight- we had a bathe, cuddle, bottle, book, bed- similar routine as normal- and when i put her in her cot she was fine. so i walked to the door, stood for a min or two, still happy so i left the room. She was fine for about 5 mins then started screaming!!!

I went to her- and tried to settle her in the cot- I picked her up for a cuddle after about 10mins as she was so upset- she dozed in my arms (as soon as picked up) so i put her back down- she rewoke and started screaming again but i just patted her bottom, and shhhing her- and it worked but it took 30 mins of her screaming on and off- still having little sobs!!!

Now i feel terrible- and i wonder if she'll remember this!

I don't know what i am posting for i think i really just needed to talk it through- as i am on my own in this!! Please tell me it will get better! How long does it normally take to get her into an ok routine?????

It will hon, and it doesn't take very long. We had to get PJ back into his normal routine after being away all over Christmas and New Years and him being sick he was totaly out of routine.
It took us 3 days to get back to normal. He's still waking at 5:30am, but he has a little cry then goes back to sleep till 6-6:30am.
