tuna recipes?

looking for some easy tasty tuna recipes, i have tin tuna and pasta in the cupboard, and a few vegies not sure what else i can do with such a limited range of ingredients? :detective: i have some pkt cheese sauce tho, maybe that would help?

Sounds like a pasta with white sauce and tuna and vegies to me :) you can bake it too if you like usually though i make my own cheese sauce with flour and butter and cheese :)

If you have some mayonnaise add that with the tuna and pasta and vegies. Sweetcorn is nice in there too if you have some. It's nice served warm or cold.

Tuna and mushroom fettucine

Sautee one large can tuna and onions in butter
Add sliced mushrooms
Add 200-250Ml cream
Add 2 heaped tablespoons of tomato paste (or more, you are aiming for a dark pink colour)

Cook pasta and mix together, add cheese on top and salt and pepper.

Bake

another couple of things that you can do with tuna

tuna, with diced onion and squeezed with fresh lemon juice, served on rice.

red and green capsicums, chopped, onion, cook this for a couple of minutes, add tuna, then add 2 cans of crushed tomatoes, serve with either rice or pasta.

or the above, but instead of with rice or pasta, place in puff pastry, baste top with a bit of milk, put in oven until golden, and serve with a salad.

Mmmm yummy yummy. - I have a tin of tuna in the cupboard, it's noice to have something different.

My tuna recipe is:

Sautee onion, add big tin-o-tuna, mushrooms, frozen peas and corn, a tin of mushroom soup and some grated cheese.

Add some cooked pasta...say 250g and mix - top with more cheese and bake.

Tin tuna is my big pantry standby!

I add breadcrumbs, dried herbs & grated cheese tossed in olive oil on the top of all my oven bakes. Goes really crunchy & yummy.

If you have puff pastry lurking in your freezer:
Tuna pie
1 onion diced
1 big tin tuna
About 1.5cups grated cheese
Some dried or fresh parsley
Tin/frozen corn if you have it

Mix all together, put on 1 sheet pastry & cover with another sheet. Brush with egg & bake at 200 deg for 30mins or until brown & puffy.

Everyone in my family loves this & it's really easy to make. You can make it ahead & leave it in the fridge til you're ready to cook. It's really nice cold too but I never get to find out anymore (DP is a big fan!)
