Hi I am a first time user or this web site. I am a stay at home mum to two boys, Hayden 3 and a half and Riley 18 months. I am having trouble with Riley at the moment as he is always attached to my leg crying, very mummies boy and clingy which Hayden wasn't. Also wakes alot through the night screaming but will lie still in the cot while I am in there but as soon as I leave he screams again. Any suggestions would be greatful

thanks nessy

Hi Nessy,

Sorry I don't have any suggestions as my bubs in only 5 months old (so I'll be hitting you up for advice :D ). Just wanted to say welcome and I hope you enjoy this forum.

Best way is to just get out into the other sections and post, post, post. Let people know you're here and you'll be surprised just how quickly you become part of the furniture :D

It's great to have you on board.

I look forward to getting to know you.

Larissa :D

Hi and welcome to Bubhub:)

I have an 18 mo as well. I htink they just need alot of extra reassurance at this age. Quite normal and will pass!

Welcome Nessy!

DD does the same, will lie there when she knows im around, but start screaming when Im not there. I doubt she understands, but I tell her I can't sit here and watch her and leave her to scream. Usually pent up energy that I cant seem to get rid of during the day. I go back in and rock her, if she doesn't sleep, I leave her again... over and over ... little tiring, but those breaks where you get to walk away are fantastic :D

Is this how you reply to people by clicking on the quote icon?

yep - click that button if you want to put something (or all) of their post into yours (so people know what you're talking about, lol). You can delete stuff from their post and just leave the line/s that you want to respond to.

If you just want to post a reply in general you click the "Post reply" button which is at both the top and the bottom of each page of posts.

You may also find this thread useful....

ABBREVIATIONS, ETC (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=5331) (click on the words and it will take you directly to the thread)

This will help you work out what people are talking about - I was sooooooo lost until I found that, lol.

Now, off you go love - read and post and post and read, and post and post and post and read........ it's an addicition :D

Hi Nessy and welcome!
I've got two boys, Jesse who's 4 and Lucas who's 18 months. I have the same thing as you do with Lucas...the clinging, crying, not sleeping...when I figure it out I'll let you know:rolleyes:
